"I....ugh..."

T'kran muttered under his breath ocne Titus was out of earshot, something about cats. What was that furball's problem, anyway? He had a feeling that Titus would be more of a hindrance to him on this mission than an aid...

Bijou, however, he could live with. The big guy seemed to be a little more open. The Pirate felt he might even be able to trust him in the future. But right now, he was just a fellow hunter, an acquaintance, nothing more, nothing less. As they walked he tilted his head a little at hearing the Megalith.

“If you don’t mind me asking,” Bijou began, his low voice rumbling as he had a slight problem forming some of the words. “But why did you decide to leave your kind other than because of the Phazon? Was their unrest amongst your people?”

"Let's just say when I was first created I was one of a new Pirate caste. One that hadn't had all the 'glitches' ironed out. I was somewhat more open-minded than the others, and I started to develop a sense of morality, even ethics. It was when I was assigned on guard duty in the research section of my base mothership that I finally turned on them." T'kran sighed and shook his head, folding his arms and frowning in annoyance.

"They'd created a new creature using a scrap of none other than the Huntress' armor. Apparently it had both her DNA and that of a Metroid still on it. The creature they created, who escaped and is who knows where right now... ugh, the things they tried to do to him were horrific. Sooner or later he escaped, of course. The Pirates never got handling Metroids, even half-Metroids, down to a T. Almost killed me, too, until I sealed him in the research section and ejected it."

T'kran paused for a moment, holding his armored left hand to his head and sighing. "They decided not to kill me, instead I was to be 'reprocessed'; they were goign to wipe my mind blank and replace it with something a little more suitable to their tastes. Of course, being superior to the others, I didn't take that too happily, and simply beat the living daylights of the grunts that came to lock me up. I managed to find a weapon, and in about an hour I was long gone."

Once the conversation finished, T'kran nodded to the Megalith and began to walk off. "I need to check up on something. I'll be in the training area later if you need me."

----------------------------

"Ugh... for a hologram, that sure felt real..."

T'kran clutched his armored head, his eyes spinning. There, in the center of the room, a simulated but very life-like Elite Pirate was leering at him. T'kran's armor seemed radically different to what it normally looked like. There was still the recognisable base armor, but attached on to it seemed to be advanced systems of some description. The front of his helmet now had a single, smooth metallic plate covering it, with a single glowing red line running down the center. His arms were more heavily armored, with extra power coils on the arm cannon, and the bulked up left gauntlet now sported an energy caster on the palm of the glove section. His leg armor was bulkier too, with a pair of booster jets framing both his feet.

It seemed the rogue Pirate had a few upgrades stowed away on his ship that he'd wanted to test out. Picking himself up from where the Elite had knocked him halfway across the room to land rather unceremoniously on his backside, he stared at the hulking figure.

"Now you've just gone and made me angry..." growled the Pirate in his native tongue. The holographic Elite seemed to understand, and let out a booming, growl-like chuckle.

"This ends now." The boosters on his leg armor flared into life, and he launched towards the Elite. As he approached the hulking figure, he suddenly shut the boosters off and shifted so he was flying feet first. Now sliding at high speed along the floor, the Elite took a swing at him and missed. Raising his weapon, he chuckled. "Bye-bye." Right as he passed between the Elite's legs, a flare of energy erupted around the hulking figure, which roared loudly and began to lift skyward.

Pushing his legs out, he flicked himself upright and skidded to a halt, the now dead Elite hologram colliding with the floor, emitting a dull thud.

"Don't come again." laughed the Pirate, pulling his modified helmet off and looking at it. "I should really use this more often..."

(Huh... big. Really, really big, but not very impressing.) Travis thought as he watched the figure in the towering power armor stack the boxes. Though it was apparent that the Federation's new project held great power, he couldn't help but be a bit dissappointed. If this is what the Federation was planning to deploy, the size of the suits alone would make the mission difficult to progress. Irregardless, he quietly scanned it anyhow; if the federation indeed planned to use these "Wraith" power armor suits, then he should probably know how they work.

Travis left the room as the demonstration finished, reviewing the data he had uncovered. Just as he finished, Dr. Steiner and the marine who had been assisting her walked out. They appeared to be having a conversation... and for some reason he couldn't name, Travis was beginning to take interest in the soldier who had been operating the suit.

"Huh... he looks thrilled." The hunter said under his breath.

"Huh... he looks thrilled." The hunter said under his breath.

"Well, o' course he is. He's finally the same height as I am, hahah," Faulias, standing beside the man, said jokingly. According to his files, this one was Hunter Travis. He'd heard stories of his exploits, some of them fairly impressive.

"Interesting design," He said to no one in particular. "Firepower isn't what you would expect it to be for something that big, but then again, that may not be the point. Part of the design is probably involving the lowering of enemy morale with its size..."

NOT. GIVING. UP. YET.

"I say something is up." Kyle replied to Twilight. He had a feeling that there's an incredibly powerful force behind the scenes, but what? What caused the disappearance of Jessie, why has phazon suddenly begun to act important again. Haven't the federation learned what the outcome phazon can inflict on the human mind and body? He heard reports about how there were malfunctions with the PED's during the war. Sure, they fixed the problem, but how sure are they that it won't happen again. Kyle can't speculate on anything at the moment, as there is little evidence present.

"I'm not sure what to expect at the moment, but you keep your guard. Even if you're immune to it, doesn't mean anything born from it can kill you." He warned his friend.
===================

Pyro was about to counter Iola's attack when suddenly, plant-life fell on both of them. It was sheer luck none of the plants landed on his hair, since it is on fire. Of course, that wasn't the only thing on him. Iola transformed to her normal state and was on him. It was kind of awkward having her on him, but then again, it was accidental. Since Pyro's skin is as dark as coal, no one could see the small red spots on his cheeks. While he was down on the floor with Iola(OOC: NO DIRTY THOUGHTS YA SICK PERVERTS!), he witnessed a small scene in which a man was about to strike a child. Now, Pyro doesn't really like kids, came with the experience of getting beaten up by now, but that act was low, especially since it's only a little girl.

Thankfully, the Watawara intervened just at the right moment. Good enough for the captain to come over and see what was happening. The man that was about to strike the girl, left without saying a word. Pyro looked down at Iola. "Will you get off? You're making a scene." Iola got off of Pyro and he stood up, wiping the dust off his black robe.

“Everyone all right?” the admiral asked as everyone began to clean the room a bit.

"Just a small accident sir, nothing major. No casualties." Pyro replied. He then turned his attention to Lorrilal.

"But you....." He suddenly picked her up and placed her on a stool. He then grabbed a piece of paper, that was conveniently placed on the table, as well as a pen, which was also conveniently placed there, and was writing something on the paper.

"I'll deal with her the same way we did things on Pheos."As soon as he was done writing, he curled the paper up like a cone, and placed some tape on it, which was also conveniently placed there. Who was using these items and what for? Arts and craft? He placed the cone on her head. "Stay there for ten minutes, will ya?"

The cone read Dunce.

((OOC: I'll be moving the plot really soon so that you guys reach your respected destinations, so make sure you guys whatever needs to be posted up soon))

“But he doesn’t seem to be that bad,” Bijou explained. “Besides, you’ve had your share of hardships. Why should he not be the same?”

“He’s a pirate, Bijou!” Titus growled. “Don’t you get it? He’s just trying to get to the Phazon!”

“According to him, he’s trying to destroy it.”

“Yeah, so he can monopolize it.”

“I wouldn’t think so…”

The two hunters were having quite the argument as they walked down the corridor and into the training room, where T’kran was battling an Elite Pirate. Titus raised a brow as he watched his battle tactics, and better yet, was intrigued with the armor. It was interesting to say the least, but he still didn’t feel like talking with the pirate yet. He was about to turn around when Bijou caught him on the shoulder.

“Come on… Are you going to leave already?”

“I have nothing to say to him…”

“Titus, you promised.”

The Kerichoan growled as he clenched a fist, but relaxed it as he turned around. He might as well make the most of it while he had to team up with this one. The panther approached the edge of the hologram, looking at T’kran was the Megalith stood behind him, making sure that his acquaintance was holding his end of the bargain.

“Uh… That… That was some nice moves and weapons you’ve got there…” he began awkwardly. “Part of your standard arsenal, or what?”

He turned to look back at Bijou, who was giving his earthy smile. The things he went through just to make a temporary alliance…

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Harm had been patrolling the corridors when he headed for the cargo bay to pick up a vial of Phazon to test a modification he had made to the suit with the Silverado’s weapons and research team. As he did, he brushed past one of the workers, catching the odd color tone in his eyes. He turned to look over his shoulder to get a better look.
Did that guy…?” he thought to himself. “
He looked again, but the guy had his back to him. The PED leader was unsure, but turned back to his path and got his vial in its protective casing, but not before looking at the crate housing the experimental suit. The seals had been broken then replaced with a set of new ones with the female doctor’s signature.
“Looks like they were testing it already,” he chuckled, sealing the door behind him.
He returned to the weapons room, where two of his teammates were cleaning their suits and the doctor in charge of the PED team was recording information on their vitals.
“Hey, doc,” the burly Irishman began. “What can you say about a person who has blue eyes?”
The doctor, Dr. Andre Harrison, looked up quite puzzled.
“Is this supposed to be some sort of joke?” he asked, writing down some notes as a WARD employee took the case containing the vial.
“No. There was a guy that I passed by that had these pretty bright blue eyes. Not too sure if anything that blue is even considered normal.”
Andre pushed the glasses up the bridge of his nose to get a better look after scrawling down some more notes. He raised a brow at the statement, apparently interpreting it incorrectly.
“‘Pretty bright blue’? What are you? Don’t tell me you’re gay…”
Harmon growled as he crossed his arms over his chest. The two subordinates snickered as they heard this comment, but quickly became quiet when he snorted at them.
“Very funny, doc, but seriously. They were this bright blue color, almost like Phazon, but not as bright.”
“Like Phazon, but not as bright…? That certainly isn’t a natural blue eye color, I can tell you that much. But why would he have that color…? Only way one can explain is that he too has been exposed to Phazon somehow, but Federation has been really tight on Phazon handling protocols now. Not even the cargo handlers should be exposed to it.”
The sergeant closed his eyes and thought about it for a minute. Maybe it was his own eyes playing tricks on him… No, it could not be so. He knew what he saw, and mused a bit.
“You think he might’ve prior to all this?”
“Could be possible… If you see him again, think you can bring him to me? I just want to make sure that all is ok with this man.”
“All right. Actually, how about I hunt him down now? It’ll keep me busy.”
“Sure, but don’t hurt or harass him. Last thing we need is one already wounded.”
He turned and had a rather wicked grin on his face, one that made the other two units shudder as they put their suits into the crates and flee.
“Don’t worry, doc. I’ll be as gentle to him as an axe on a grinding stone…”
“Bloodsbane!”
“I’m kidding! I’m kidding! I’ll bring the guy over as soon as I find him.”
The doctor sighed as the leader disappeared. The poor man had been subjected to the PED leader’s cruel sense of humor since he had joined as the medical staff for them. Then again, he was not one to speak, as he did some cruel jokes of his own back at him. He sat down and picked up a bottle of water after reading through all the information he had gathered from the men before he made another entry for this exposed personnel. Hopefully, Bloodsbane would bring him back in one piece instead of a body bag. In the meantime, Bloodsbane was now actively patrolling the ship, hopeful that he would ‘bump’ into that same man again.
"Ugh... getting a little rusty, T'kran..." mumbled the now sweating Pirate. Shaking his head, he heard voices behind him. Turning around, he came face to face with Titus.
"Uh, oh... hey." said the slightly startled Pirate. He blinked, wondering what - then he noticed Bijou. Aha... the Megalith must have been trying to get the two of them to play nice.
Titus then spoke. “Uh… That… That was some nice moves and weapons you’ve got there…” he began awkwardly. “Part of your standard arsenal, or what?”
T'kran shook his head and chuckled. "I wish. Unlike a certain orange-suited bounty hunter I think we're all familiar with, I don't base my arsenal around spooky alien artifacts and stolen technology. Only problem is, when you make weapons yourself, they have bugs. I still haven't found a power source for my suit that can handle the extra systems. I drained almost half of the suit's energy just fighting a dozen holographic Pirates and that Elite."
T'kran sighed. "Well, it's just more to do in my spare time. Better than sitting around bored." He yawned and stretched out, cracking his neck a few times. For all his confidence he sure was a little... lax for a bounty hunter. He sighed in his head. Maybe if he wasn't so anti-Phazon he'd rig up a PED to power the suit extras...
"So..." began the Pirate. "...when do we arrive at Bryyo?"
"Well, o' course he is. He's finally the same height as I am, hahah,"Came the joking voice of an older man from beside Travis.
"Interesting design," The man said to no one in particular. "Firepower isn't what you would expect it to be for something that big, but then again, that may not be the point. Part of the design is probably involving the lowering of enemy morale with its size..."
"Well..." Travis began, "I'll tell you from experience, sir, that while I know the importance of morale, I'm not impressed too much with the size. I'd like to see that thing in action; otherwise, I'm just going to assume that it's just for show. But before I go on... I've got to ask, who are you? You look like someone I've seen, but I can't really put my finger on it..." He looked the older man over for a moment, quietly scanning his face. For reasons he couldn't recall, this man appeared familiar in some way, but he couldn't figure out why.
"Well, it IS a prototype... not quite perfect yet, I'd say. They'll probably make a lot of improvements or modifications from this run," Faulias said.
"But before I go on..." Travis continued, "I've got to ask, who are you? You look like someone I've seen, but I can't really put my finger on it..."
"Well, I'm not exactly hard to miss, lad," Faulias said with a chuckle. "Ehh, my name's Faulias. Faulias Khayorn. We've probably served on a mission or two together, maybe... these ol' bones have been around long enough for that to happen..."
((OOC: Gonna try to move a bit, but not plot-wise. Gotta post something to keep it slightly active... XP))
Harm had been patrolling the corridors for a while, still searching for the man with the glowing blue eyes. He could have sworn he saw him near the cargo area, but now, he was out of sight. If what the doc said was true about such as characteristic and that it was Phazon-related, then it was best to get help for the man ASAP. He couldn't remember the face that well, or catch the guy's name. All he knew was that there were really blue eyes.
As he rounded the corner, he saw Faulias, the hunter he has talked to earlier, along with Travis. Perhaps if he asked nice enough, they would be able to help him find this guy. He approached them in a very casual manner.
"Yo!" he shouted heartily. "You two just wandering the decks or what? Look, I have a favor to ask of you two. Apparently, there's someone on this ship that's been exposed to the Phazon somehow. I don't know how or when, but the guy seems to be sporting the symptoms of Phazon exposure. Not like he's in big trouble or anything, but the head PED doc wants to look him over a bit, see if he's ok, and perhaps even detain him so that he doesn't spread the radiation around. Think you can help? I didn't catch his name badge or get a good look of his face, but he had these really bright blue eyes that seems to glow just slightly."
He looked around and began to head towards another corridor.
"If you guys see him, can you take him to the labs? That's where Dr. Andre Harrison will be."
I just _____ in the _____.
Rather than flinch away from the threat of violence from the man, Lorrilal brought her hand out quickly, positioning it in a claw-like manner. When she saw Tina’s reaction however, she decided that perhaps inaction would prove a better thing to do.
After all, many people saw her as a child. This could prove to be an advantage. If her allies saw her as such, and the enemy made assumptions from their reactions in turn. It would could disastrous for those wishing harm.
She even managed to smile slightly when the admiral came in.
“Yes, we are all fine. I just thought I would observe the actions and perhaps learn something in the means of self-defense, should there be a need for it.” She looked just to her left, the vegetation that had fallen with her, was quickly beginning to turn to a fine powder.
Pyro began to approach Lorrilal and the hair on the back of her neck stood up. “Hey, what are you…?” She was light, far lighter than most creatures her size, and was able to be hoisted up easily. Before she knew it, the dunce cap was on her head. She looked over to the table with the tools that created it.
“An odd place to put a scrap booking station…” She then looked back at Pyro, her expression almost smug. “Tell me, did you learn this from the Winged Hunter when he kicked your ass?” She sounded completely serious, but the word ‘ass’ still managed to sound odd coming from her.
Lorrilal had a feeling she was going to have fun messing with Pyro.
