This appears to be a solid profile from my standpoint. The character doesn't have any of the eye bleeding clichés, and there's a bit of originality. While the personality doesn't have the greatest depth, usually RPing helps you explore more of that character's personality traits and express ones you haven't been able to put down in the profile. One thing I'd like to see, though, is an idea of why your character likes to travel around on his own, especially at such a young age. Y'know, give us an idea of what's going on in Theos's head and what some of his feelings were during the past. Does he revel traveling alone in an independent manner, or does he like to strike up to the challenge and see what environments he can survive in? Think of what drives him to do what he does; hat way, the character is made more interesting in a way that almost allows us to sympathize with him. Now, you don't have to actually put that in the profile, but I'm rather tossing that out as a useful idea. Hope that was helpful for you

It's nice to see a fantasy character, as we haven't had many in a while. It's been forever and a half since I've reviewed anyone so sorry if my skills are a bit rusty. First off, when you mention shooting three arrows at the same time, it reminds me of one of my most favorite movies:  I can't find any information about anyone shooting two arrows at the same time, much less three. The only time it was mentioned was here:
It's up to you on how much realism you want in your archery, I mean, we are going to have wizards and such running around. If you do want more realism but want to keep his skills impressive, you may want to consider the time it takes to pull out an arrow, set it, and release. I do some archery myself and the way you hold the arrow doesn't allow for there to be multiple ones. There is, however, a small ring on my bowstring that's used to help hold the arrow in place and keep it from sliding down, were you to have multiples of those, there's a chance, but you would also need a custom bow, as the tips of the arrows would need to rest on a small device at the handle of the bow (as most modern bows have) I don't know the jargon for it, but I could show you some pictures if you'd like to know more. So, basically I suppose what I'm saying is that there's a chance that three arrows would be possible, but it would take an impressively customized bow. Some impressive modern archers that even have videos of their feats are Fred Bear and Howard Hill, you may want to consider watching some of those. I've also found the Ranger's Apprentice book series by John Flanagan to be a good read, it's got some impressive arrow tricks but still manages to remain grounded in its realism. Also, consider that he may want to know a bit about fletching and making his own arrows. I'm not sure what cartography involves, but I'm betting it's pretty impressive too, your character's managing to be awesome without anything overly showy. The personality is a bit cliched, but people usually manage to refine their characters through RPing itself. Just be careful not to get too into the quiet loner type that you end up not interacting with other characters at all. I love the character, even if you didn't change a thing it would still be a solid and enjoyable character to interact with. |
