In order to get things moving I'm creating two extra Planes of existence. Planes exist within one dimension and parallel each other.

Basically we have two new worlds here but they exist within the same dimension.. But are not Physically connected in any manner. So you cant get there Via Spaceship or walking...
This eliminates the issue of who has what magic and tech where.
There will still be basic constrains on magic and tech in the two new planes but they will be more along the lines of "No summoning castles out of the ground" or "No automatic weapons, spaceships or rocket launchers..."

Tech levels will be that of "lord of The Rings" or "Forgotten Realms" where Magic is still the main means of "stupendous feats".

The planes will be setup like so
"The elemental plane"<> "The Hub Plane"<> "Mystra's Realm"

You can only travel to the hub plane from your plane then from there, you can use a gate to travel from the hub plane to any plane of your choice.

In order to keep creatures and races from being hectic, All creatures and races needed to be posted in the Review Thread. All "Monster" creatures will be native to every plane. Races and locations will be the only Plane exclusive add ons...(check with me if you have questions or I'm not making any sense...)

Plane synopsis

The elemental Plane: As you all know, Technology here is second to none and four Master Crafters with an affinity for four elements define the common rules for magic here. Any other method save by Elemental is looked on as taboo.

The Hub Plane: The economy is at its peak here. Wealth from past trade tarrifs and such have boosted this plane's economy. Here Scientists have invented masterful creations such as Airships and Cannons and Self-Propelled ships.
Deitys Are numerous here. Many churches fill the cities and Here spell casters learned
there arts from Holy routs. Powerful prayers and Spell caster Representatives are the method for the "Fire and lightning" of this realm.

Mystra's Realm: Here the economy is mediocre. Diverse weather and numerous chaotic creatures keep civilizations in large fortress cities, Monster free areas or particularly backwoods.
Science here had advanced in the way of war. Engins of the siege and and other war technologies have flourished to meet the demands of the "wild" Portions.
Magic and faith hold an equal power hold here. Clerics, Paladins and priests roam the lands with other diverse spell casters. Numerous and uncounted methods of magic constantly pull at the Weave of the universe, bending to these spell caster's wills in amazing ways.
Here the Mother of Magic resides. She guides the Weave of magic that envelopes the universe. Weave constantly she makes possible all the miracles and mysteries wrought by magic and users of magic. She is believed to be the embodiment of the Weave and of magic herself. She is one of the Three Main Gods, The goddess of neutrality and Magic.

Gods and dietys

The order of the gods are as follows.

Three main gods:
The god of Light; He goes by many names. Worshiped by many of the older churches he presides over all goodly dietys and is one of the beings responsible for the creation of all.

Mystra, Goddess of magic and neutrality; The Mother of Magic resides. She guides the Weave of magic that envelopes the universe. Weave constantly she makes possible all the miracles and mysteries wrought by magic and users of magic. She is believed to be the embodiment of the Weave and of magic herself.
She is neutral in her decisions lending her powers to all and allowing any being to manipulate her weave.
She is the mother and keeper of all neutral dietys

Bane, God of evil and(Evilness...); Worshiped by older churches as the father of evil his clerics and priests roam the world attacking the followers of goodly gods and wreaking destruction with there corrupt prayers and magic. Lord of all chaotic dietys he is responsible for most of the chaotic events int he universe.

Crafters:
They are responsible for the ultimate shaping of their plane and the nurturers of knowledge and magic for their plane. These beings were around from the beginning, aiding the three main gods.

Dietys:
Responsible for lesser things and commonly watch over one group of people or things. For example, The roman god of war; Mars.
The product of faith and a Old being of great mortal power these dietys range in alignment and were created by Crafters or Achieved their position through merit or self appointment.

Demigods:
The product of a mortal and a divine or malevolent being.
The often retain the traits of their immortal parent from physical characteristics to abilities.

Where the RP starts.
=============

The Elemental legion(Elemental plane) is on the move and has recently attacked some small fledgling cities that have began to encroach on their territory. Pushing further and further and expanding their territory. The four main cities have ignored these events not wanting to waste time or effort and the situation is escalating.
The Dwarven kingdom Is summoning a group of people to accompany one of their Priests in order to investigate the attacks and boundary expansion.
This is where you come in. You will eventually be aiding the dwarf in his quests and ultimately the War for the "Elemental Plane".

During the course of this RP, The Gates tot he other planes will be opened. After that event you are welcome to bring in characters that you did not put in the "Elemental Plane". Up till then I ask that you use a Character from the Elemental Plane.
I will be playing the Dwarven Priest and possibly the main human Priest. The main Elven and Seraphos Priest will be open first to fantasy staff. From then on out its up to you. If you want to play a priest, Go ahead. Just keep in mind that there will be four main priests.

Once this RP Is at a close, Your characters will be able to travel planes freely and I better see you do something with the fantasy section.... Or I might cry....

Once again I'm in, going to be playing the agents of the Legion as might be expected, but I'd prefer it if you kept in mind that the Legion has been keeping itself hidden for hundreds of years until now and that they are probably forgotten (Which I suppose is why the leaders of the big cities didnt think it a big concern, probably thought it might have been some form of bandits/lunatics?)

I can take a priest role if necessary but I'd prefer not too, as I will probably be playing enough roles as it is xD

You would be correct, Shin-Ra. The other sections follow the same rules as the Sci-Fi section does. They're sorta like blankets that way. They keep everything covered.

This way, you don't have to have a library to keep every separate thing straight.

Darthy's been itching to get this thing underway, though he's been having a really tough time gathering support for it. I'm glad someone has stepped up. Are there any others out there?

I'm still holding on to this RP as it will open the playing field for fantasy by a lot.
If you want some back history on it as well as some.. Roles that need to be played, let me know. If your a taker, I might roll the RP.

Edit* Some of the plains are DnD inspired, but no Dice or stat sheet or past experience required.

I'm still up for this, I'd probably play Afree and one of the Priests, if I recall I think we talked about my Kitsune being one of the priests (that's right Transcon, I'm still coddling my little Amaranth ^^)

Of course, you can't have a party without Afree either...

Something I've been meaning to bring up, the Hub Plane is very familiar to me because it reminds me of the Hub in Diane Duane's Young Wizard series (the third book of the series High Wizardry to be exact). If anyone else has read it more recently (it's been years for me), perhaps you could elaborate on it to give people an idea of the Hub Plane?

Ive never heard of the series. Do you want Elaboration from those books or more information on my part?

BTW, we have a party of atlest six for this RP. All I need is mappage and I'm done.
I have a rough one for the Elemental plane and Mystra's plane so all I need now is the Hub plane. I remember someone talking to me about the hub plane and i think it was B. Whoever it was said they would not mind making a rough map.

My idea is that the elemental plane is a sphere as well as Mystra's plane. On the other hand, The Hub plane is flat. But if B wants to work on the hub plane, that is up to her.

Once I get the maps done, I'm writing some outline and crunching some plot and putting it in a spiffy ring binder and hoping that you all go with the flow. Or I'll have some new place mats. >.>

Shin-ra, If you want to get that buddy on here and contacting me so I can count on him, that would be good.

Also, if anyone wants some clarification in one area or another, let me know. If this comes off good, this RP will be the foundation for our fantasy world.

Ok, I have here some mappage. Ill need some locations for the elemental plane for the Legion. The elemental map is NASTY and I probably have to re-do it because the dots are wAY to big... But regardless that is the basic shape of the elemental plane. The edges disappear into void? Actually, I'm leaving that possibility open to further development, Perhaps there is another world underneath?

The next is Mystra's plane. This IS a round map flattened and unlike the elemental plane, It doesn't fade off into nothingness.

All I'm missing is the Hub plane now.
I'm asking everyone interested to ask me questions about the setting because I don't know what needs filling in where. PLEASE ask away, It will help me immensely.

I hope to get this rolling real soon.

Key roles

Fire priest/priestess, The Seraphos(EP's race).
Water Priest/priestess, Humans.
Wind Priest/priestess, Elves.
Earth Priest//priestess, Dwarves. (I will probably play the dwarf)

Elemental Legion dudes! Ask ~Twilight~ if you have any questions

Feel free to have a priest be from any race, but I'd prefer if we stuck to the "elemental races" for the most part.
Races are not given a solid element but each element was given to a particular race to safeguard based on what the Four elemental deities thought each race's attributes and personalities matched.

For example, Humans tend to be short lived and effect their surroundings immensely in contrast to the other races. Water evaporates quickly but in torrents can reduce things to shambles.

Elves live long and their effects tend to be noticed over time, much like wind carving rocks into odd shapes over hundreds of years.

That aside, If your character is NOT from the elemental plane but one of the other two, they WILL have a chance to participate once the gates to the hub plane are re-opened. If you want to create a short or long term character for the beginning go ahead, Or if you already have someone oyu think fits right in the elemental plane, thats good.
