Plus, there's the frat I'm going to join, and the fact that my friend is gonna help me out a lot (he's in the frat).
D'oh... Now you got me wondering what frat it is...

...

What frat is it?! XD

I'm home early... and being Pacific Time, I could probably catch the end of it... but I don't wanna spoil it for myself until after I get the uncut, HighDef, uber-quality, disk image from my friend who works at Spike TV.

I asked him since I normally work through Sundays if he could record it for me and send me the disk image. If he gets fancy with it, then that was his own prerogative.

Du-dun du-dun du-dun... du-dun... du-dun...

My friend is a legacy, too. Most of the "hazing" I've heard about is really just stuff I'd love to have an excuse to do. For instance, he once had to wear one of those attack dog suits (you know, the ones they train dogs with) while standing on an ironing board that was being pulled down the street by a truck. The member who suggested it wanted to see it happen because it'd look funny.

Personally, though, I would prefer a canoe or one of those cheapo metal boats for fishing.

ZOMG DOUBLE POST!

Yay! Another w00t! I got back in contact with an old friend and we might be able to hang out soon. This a thing of pure awesome since all of the friends I've got right now live out of state or over seas....

It'll be awesome to have someone to hang out with once and a while.

Just got done watching Knight Rider (2008). I did see a few editing screw-ups, such as there was two different kinds of helicopters tailing the hero car from the skies on the mountain roads... or the bad blue screen effect when the car was zipping along at 200mph while the camera was getting a wide angle of the scenery behind...

I must say, that the plot was straight forward and not over the top. While holding the sci-fi elements, it held pretty realistically for the modern setting... not like Knight Rider 2000 or Team Knight Rider where the plots seemed to go a little too futuristic or just plain over the top.

That, and I DID see Glen Larson's name as the executive producer in the opening credits. So... the man DID have a hand in it after all. KEWL!

The cameo of Michael Knight was tastefully done. Same with the cameo of the Knight Industries Two Thousand. Plus, just the line of "it's not a Trans Am again, is it?"

The music score, the elements from history, the cameos... all made it clear that this was indeed a sequel series while paving the way forward for new stories. However, there is something I'd like to point out:

Mike Traceur's mother, Jenny.... It was hinted that she was the one that knew about what body the KITT microprocessor was built into, as well as the Foundation and its projects. There's a good reason why. Go back and watch Season Four's first episode.

Jenny is short for Jennifer. Jennifer Knight. Wilton Knight's daughter.

Now, with that being said, do we remember how Michael Knight came into being? He was originally Michael Arthur Long. After getting shot in the face and left for dead in the Nevada desert, he was recovered by Wilton and given a new identity and face.

So far, all seems well and good. There was a two part episode called 'Goliath', where we get to meet Garth Knight, the son of Wilton. He was a jilted individual, cut out of the will and Foundation, and escaped from a prison in Africa. Come to find out, Wilton had an ego of his own, and reconstructed Michael's face as a spitting image of his own son!

Now, put two and two together. Jenny is Traceur's mother, and Michael is his father. Yet, Michael looked like Garth, Jenny's brother. HELLO!

I think someone either forgot about Episode One, Season Four where they even discuss how Michael looked like her brother... or somewhere in the years after the Knight Two Thousand was retired, they reconciled their differences... because at least at the end of that episode, they part ways with a kiss on the cheek.

Overall, I must say that they did a damn good job on this. Like I said, it wasn't over the top... and yes, though there was a lot of "buy me, I'm a Ford Mustang, look at my emblem" shots, there was a right balance of what the car can do with realism.

I'm still going to look forward to see if they're going to add the Turbo Boost function, Ski Mode, or anything else that would further make connections to the past.

I give it a pass... and as a Knerd saying this... that should mean a lot.

EDIT: To answer your question, CEMP, on how the bad guys knew they were at the casino... Mike asked if she had her cell phone on... she said yes. They tracked her cell phone signal to the casino.

Unfortunately, though people like us, who can understand that things change with time, it seems that the mass amounts of critics out there don't want it back as a weekly series. I've read several reviews bashing the acting, the plot, and the premise.

Personally, I think this was a hell of a lot better than any of the predecessors of the original series: KR2000, TKR, and the aberration that was KR2010 (though the original script for that was a lot better than what went into production).

I'm keeping my fingers crossed, but I'm not getting my hopes up that NBC will give it a chance and tell the reviewers to go take an aerial impregnation.

Woot! Flogging molly concert!
I just got back from the whole ordeal.
I enjoyed it, But I would have liked to be able to hear the music.... It was too loud...
~Darthanis Galbraith~ is still deaf
Anywho.. We had to sit through two crap bands before the main attraction.
Crazy cousin wanted to get in close to the mosh pit... But she is SOO small she would die...
The Violin player pwned and the moshers were stinkey And I am too introverted to dance around and holler. Instead i sat there and enjoyed the music and got bumped into ALOT.

I have Drunken Lullabies stuck in my head now...

I caught the VERY end of the eclipse... How was it?

It was awesome, the moon looked like it was on fire. I wanted to get pictures of it, but my camera's lame. We won't be having another one till 2010... *hroom* maybe by then though, I'll have a better camera.

I saw part of the eclipse, but I really didn't feel like caring... Once you witness a total solar eclipse, stuff like this is just...eh... -_-

well... not sure if I should call this a woot or not, but....

My sister's pregnant. She just found out today. Took two tests, and they said the same thing. She came into the room, went to the bookshelf, and grabbed that book, "What to Expect When You're Expecting," said something to me about needing to read it and held it up so I could see the cover.

The sad thing was is that it took me about five seconds to put the pieces together. My brain was running full speed, then suddenly *KAFIZZLE!*

So yeah, I'm gonna be an uncle.

Again.
