Oh man, I not only read that article Shin, I read it out loud to my brother, my voice was hoarse by the end.

I've never seen such a well thought out breakdown of the storyline. It's also made very solid with his mentioning and comparing of other things. Ironically I'd mentioned to by brother that he was talking about stuff like Twilight and Hush Hush just before he actually did!

I'm getting so sick of seeing that kind of crap, I really could go on a rant about it, but that's what the rant section is about, and I think you've all heard it from me before (though you may have interest to know I actually find Hush Hush to be ten times more damaging than Twilight)

Is this what you meant by a Nook?

Your image isn't showing DA, just so you know.

Anyway, Merry Christmas to all. I new winter Jacket, a webcam, weeee; a $100 future shop gift card that I'm intending to use to get DKCR, a new controller and possibly a new keyboard; and a Chapters gift card for $20.

Roffel House!

The Nook is the Barnes and Noble e-reader that uses a nifty type of ink that's like reading a real book. What's really sweet about my particular model is that once I link up my online Barnes and Noble account I can buy books where ever I have access to either a wireless connection OR have cell phone signal. How awesome is that?!

Merry Christmas, guys. My gift to you: MY PRESENCE! I'm still alive! Huzzah!

*Ahem* But aside from that, I got an epic haul this year. A 500 GB external hard drive, one that I desperately need due to the fact that my computer was on it's last 20 Gigs of memory left. Also, I got the R.A.T. 5 Gaming Mouse, which I'm using right now and was playing with earlier. This thing is a beast. Add to that the DVD box set of The Pacific, Fallout: New Vegas, Medal of Honor, and gift cards, money and such, and Christmas was great.

Ahhhh, heh, to be honest I had Christmas early, hence the reason why I've been so scarce. What, do you ask, could possibly pull me away so magnetically?

Weeeeell.

48 inch fancy LCD TV. At least, I think it's 48 inch, but the thing is huuuuuge! (by my practically-Amish standards at least) we haven't had a new TV in sooooo long. The power button on our old one fell in, so you had to turn it off by remote (which made me realize just how much I actually press the power button on the TV itself) I can't even remember when we bought the old one either, maybe about 10 to 15 years ago. It make your eyes start to bleed after about 30 minutes and I even joked (in a serious sort of way) that 50% of the TVs I saw at places like the Salvation Army stores were newer.

That was to go with the....

X-Box 360 4G Slim with Kinect. This one has some backstory to it. I've been on the brink of buying an X-Box for years because I wanted to play Halo 2. I held off, however, when I learned it was going to be released on the PC. Yay! Oh wait...it needs Windows Vista? Crap. Wait. Wait. Maybe I should buy an X-Box? Wait. I have Windows 7! Yay! And a PC copy of Halo 2! Oh wait, you mean to tell me the game was flawed, and that it doesn't run properly because my computer is too powerful? Crap. Wait. Wait. Maybe I should buy that X-Box afterall, but the things are overheating like crazy! Hmm, but the Slim sounds more stable. Maybe someday...-ZOMG XBOX FOR CHRISMAS *joygasam* Time to play some Halo 2! What? It says I need a hard drive? *research* the 4G model won't support backwards compatible because it has only flash memory?

THIS is the game I have waited an eternity for. THIS is not only a game, THIS is THE game. THE game that has eluded me. THE game that, no matter what I do, how much I try to appease it, no matter how many virgin goat sacrifices I make in the game of Microsoft and Bill Gates, it always manages to give me a great big middle finger. This is THE game that I have been close to tears over because of the simple frustration that it blocks me at every turn to keep from playing. (I almost cried again) So, last ditch effort, I also get the 285098235 GB hard drive for the X-Box Slim that costs an ungodly amount.

I finally...get...to play. Which is probably a good thing, since I was starting to fantasize about breaking down in the middle of Game Stop or Best Buy. Because Halo 2 was originally released on November 9th I can count TO THE DAY how long I've been waiting (which, conveniently, is because November 9th is my own release date) It's not so much that I'm a Halo fantard, it's that when something fights me this much, I get weird about it.

Oh, also I got Halo 3, Halo ODST, Halo Reach, Fable 2, Fable 3, Kinect Adventures, and Assassin's Creed Brotherhood. Yes, all are awesome too (especially Assassin's Creed. Oh man that Ezio can assassinate me anytime...wait.)

Epic Mickey, which we still haven't played.

A laptop, which is for school purposes.

A golden trilobyte pin (Girl Genius) from my dad.
And my brother and I got Fallout New Vegas for our dad, which in turn prompted me to play the original Fallout 3, which I never have before despite owning it since nearly the release date (I have nightmares about trees now...)

A black cat plushie. Normally I'm not that girly but...it was just soooo cute!

The Sorcerer's Apprentice, because it was such a kickass movie.

We also watched Tangled, which I wholly reccomend, especially if you liked Shrek and/or the more classic Disney movies involving princesses.

Uh....crap I know there's more stuff. I would also count things like books that I've selfishly bought for myself over the course of the month, like Catacombs and The Gift.

Oh oh! Also my brother got The Settlers of Catan, which is a ton more fun than I was even expecting.

And, perhaps best of all, my wonderful family. I'm not saying it to be cheesy either (like how Miss America always wishes for world peace). My mom cooked my brother and I breakfast every single morning she could when we were taking classes. My dad is just plain awesomesauce. And my brother is my best friend in the whole world.

There was also candy, jams, jellies, breads, and all kinds of stuff from neighbors, friends, parent's co-workers, and other people I had no idea even liked us.

Also, my brother is getting Assassin's Creed action figures, but he doesn't know that yet. He thinks he's getting a pillow.

*deep breath*

...so how was yours?
