So it looks like my whoot was a little pre-mature; they're not publishing it as an actual book to sell, and they're still putting it together via bindings (They wouldn't have the money for that kind of stuff, which is totally understandable). The launch is for those that submitted their work to the contest, as well as for the book that get's placed within the learning center.

Still, through out my years in submitting my work, there was never a launch like this, and it might be a great opportunity to meet other fellow creative writers ^_^ .

Doubling post because I can for obvious reasons, and it's been long enough. (Ok, well, maybe not, but you get the point)

Another small whoot I'd like to make, but not about myself actually. Some of you might know I play SC2, and while I'm far from a pro gamer, I do enjoy it. My favorite race is Zerg.

And if you've been keeping track of the SC2 tourne statistics and what not, you'll know Zerg is having the toughest time; and I really do like to root for them. That said, we just had the first GSL SC2 tournament (I think in Korea), and we now have a winner.

His name...the Fruit Dealer.

Race...well, I'll just let this video and my glee do the talking:

The Zerg, although now squishier in SC2, are STILL dangerous int he hands of the right player; if they can get a zergling rush into your base just in that short time alone they will do IMMENSE damage.

Just follow up on that point, Ive watched a video of our infamous Fruit Dealer (Our Zerg player if you haven't already guess) vs a Terran (Couldn't watch all the other videos because I had to buy access to them). In it, Fruit Dealer lost his natural expansion to a Reaper harrass early on, and the Terran player had gotten banshees with just when the Lair was on the way; our zerg player did not yet have quick detector access).

Now let me tell, when a zerg loses an early resource node and cloaked banshees are on the way with access to detectors only JUST coming, the Zerg generally goes GG. NOT FRUIT DEALER. He manages to barely fend off the banshee raid, and DESPITE all the damage done, our Zerg player STILL comes back and WINS the game; and he does so with Ultras and infestors. he even uses his queens to Heal each of his light flyers individual; that requires crazy micro.

That's how dangerous Fruit Dealer

The Texas Rangers have beaten the Tampa Bay Rays, and are advancing in the postseason.

Let me say that again, cause I don't quite believe it. The Texas Rangers are advancing in the postseason. For the first time. Like, ever.

This is the part where most of you start rolling your eyes and going, "There he goes again, talking about sports." That's fine. But this isn't just sports. This is baseball. This is a part of my childhood, a part of who I am.

You see, before there was anything for me, there was baseball. Before Transformers, before Ninja Turtles, before Batman, before the X-Men, before girls and rock n' roll, there were the Texas Rangers. For my third birthday, I got a big Rangers baseball plushie signed by my entire family (and I'm Mexican, so I got a big family). By the time I was five, I could name the entire starting lineup by memory. I grew up at the old Arlington Stadium, and then to Mr. Catfish across the street after the games.

I've been rooting for the Rangers for as long as I can remember. And in all that time, they've never, ever gotten this far. Hell, in the entire 49-year history of the team, even back when they were the Washington Senators, they'd only even been to the playoffs three times. 96, 97, and 99. Each time they got bounced out of the first round. By the New York Yankees, of course. And now they finally advance to the American League Championship Series. Their opponent? Who else... the Yankees.

They'll probably get bounced again. But you know what? I don't care. They've made it further than they've ever been before, further than I ever thought they could go. It has been an absolute joy watching these guys all year long.

So here's to all those Rangers who never made it this far. For Geno Petralli, who gave me my first ever autograph. For Bobby Valentine, still the best damn skipper this team has ever had. For the late great Johnny Oates, who managed this team to it's only other playoffs appearances. For Julio Franco, who played till he was like 47 (seriously). For Kenny Rogers (no, not that Kenny Rogers... the pitcher). For Pudge Rodriguez, who's headed to Cooperstown one day. For Steve Bushell, Larry Parrish, Toby Harrah, Pete Incaviglia, Ruben Sierra, and all those other Rangers whose names I have forgotten.

But most of all, for the Man. For Nolan Motherfucking Ryan. This one's for you.

Let's go Rangers.
