No, man... I completely understand. Masamune's a beast anyway. King Charles crushes it. Just think though, not only do you have King Charles back, you won't have to share a crowded couch with two other people to watch anime. Ain't life great!

I passed the written part of my driver's test (for the third time, hopefully they'll teach me to drive this time around), and not only that, but I had my job interview today. I was told that I have a good chance of getting the position (my mom, who works there, had a talk with the woman doing the interviews, and they all know me up there anyway), and when I took the fingerprint recognition test, I missed only two, which is pretty good. And get this, the pay is a little more than $39K a year. Not bad for a third job and being only twenty years old, eh? |

Damn, Alk. Just have to comment: Good luck on getting that job position. At your age, I was making $16K/yr driving school bus. Now, at 31, I'm only doing $36K/yr (due to go up eventually) Lucky you! *pats on the back* Fatalis, grats on the NHS induction! And if football wasn't loaded with so much commercialism and hype... I'd watch it again. Anyways, my wOOt, sorta... We got truck 16. Its going to be our new transport truck, but they're going to add a diesel reel to it for fleet fueling in the event we need it. Afterward, I was told that soon, SOON I'll be a transport driver. Possibly not Truck 16, because we just bought another tank in California. They're going to get another chassis for it. THAT'S the one I might be driving. So... maybe in another three months, I'll be able to put my Class A CDL back to work. |

Ah... yeah, I guess I was a little overexcited when I read the page it was on... it must have said "maximum salary," 'cuz I just did the math and that would make it be about $20 an hour, and before I went in there today, my mom told me the pay would be more than $10 an hour starting out. But still, $10 an hour is nothing to sneeze at, since neither of my last two jobs paid that much. Let's see... before taxes, I'd be getting about $800 on each check (pays every other week), and the apartments I've been looking at up where my sister lives are nice, yet kinda cheap, anywhere from $500 to $600 a month when you add all the bills together. that would leave around $1000 to do whatever with each month. Not bad... Though I wish it was paying the $39K I thought it was... That would be AWESOME! |

Geez, Alk! $10 buck an hour? The most I ever got in a job was minimum wage + tips!... Then again, all I did was dish out ice cream on a frozen rock!... *HINT* |

Well, just got the Adobe CS3 Master Suite installed earlier this morning... TWO HOURS to install EVERYTHING! List of stuff that came with the package includes: Distiller - No idea what it does yet Acrobat 8 Professional - Adobe Reader on crack, make/edit pdf After Effects - Video special effects budget Bridge - Media organizer between all Adobe software Contribute - Web Page editor Device Central - PDAs, Cellphones... looks like I could make media for them Dream Weaver - No clue yet Encore - Again, no clue ExtendScript Toolkit 2 - Coding web pages, HTML, CSS, etc. Extension Manager - This makes it easier to install all those plug-ins and stuff. Fireworks - looks like a better way to make animated gifs Flash CS3 Professional - Adobe got Macromedia Flash, so I can make animations and videos frame by frame Flash CS3 Video Encoder - Change video CODECs! InDesign - Another video/image edit tool Life Cycle Designer - Form maker, polls, document pretty-fyer, et al Photoshop - Image editor (le duh) Premier Pro - Video editor (le duh, again. BTW, it's French for 'The Duh') Soundbooth - Audio editor (ooh, neet!) Okay, so I don't even know how to use more than 3/4 of this stuff. But, in less than 10 minutes, I made an MP3 using external software in conjunction with this sweet suite. First, I went to YouTube and found an awesome metal cover of the Knight Rider theme. I used KeepVid(dot)com and ripped the flv from it. Next, I used a converter program to convert the flv to an mpg. I would've used Adobe Flash, but it can't recognize the output format that YouTube uses (because they think they're all that and a bag of chips). The mpg was basic NTSC VCD quality compression (which wasn't very quality at all), and the audio was MP3 160b/s 41000MHz Stereo. Okay, got my file. Next, opened Premier. Imported this file, put it on the edit line, and trashed the video track. Exported 'audio only'. Premier automatically sends out the audio track as a wav file. So far, so good. Finally, opened Soundbooth and opened up the wav file there. Told it to 'save as MP3'. BAM! All done. Now I have the audio track I wanted. Now that I have the process figured out, It'll take me less than a couple of minutes plus download/compression times to rip an MP3 out of something on YouTube, or even the sound track from an anime music video or something. Damn, my media system just got a major boost. WOOT! |

That's a pretty neat set you have there. Out of the ones listed, the ones ones I know how to use or have are: Acrobat 8 Professional - Yeah, default PDF reader/maker Bridge - Awesome to use when it comes to jumping between Adobe programs, or even on to the net for references specific to Adobe only; used with Photoshop CS2 Dreamweaver - VERY awesome webpage maker. Currently used to help update Metroid-Eu; EXTREMELY powerful (Using CS3) Photoshop - Well, what else do I do my images in...? (Using CS2) Premier Pro - Video projects galore! Like Dreamweaver, very powerful. (Using 2.0) Actually, Transcon, you wouldn't need to go through Soundbooth to export an audio from a video. You can actually do that directly in Premier Pro by exporting only the sound rather than the whole thing. For making/recording, I usually use Magix MP3 Maker to do that, not to mention Audacity to have fun playing with the filters and mixing. My w00t? I found out that my mom got GH3... XD;;; Dunno why, but she got it. So I'll be having fun with that next weekend. And I'm also finally finishing up some old pictures I started last year. Yeesh... Takes forever... @.@ Oh yeah, FINALLY got Celestial all cleaned up and defragged. Took about 4 days for the whole maintenance run, but it's finally done and running MUCH smoother. |

As some of you know, I suffer from a ton of health issues. The major one these past few months was the newfound brain tumor, thankfully it was benign. We were under the impression it was the cause of the recent head aches and passing out. Due to that theory I had to quit my job and stop driving. Since I'm a cyberschooler, that was about half my life right there. We had some speculation as to whether or not it needed to be removed, and we decided it would be best to see two different doctors about it. A neurosurgeon and a neurologist. Well, this morning we visited the neurosurgeon only to find out that it was a cholesterol build up in my skull and didn't need to be removed. I won't have to have a myriad of appointments to decide the fate of my head, in fact I won't have another appointment over it for another two years. The neurosurgeon just wanted me to get MRIs every two years to be sure it wasn't growing. As woot as that is, it does present one problem, we still don't know what's been causing my head aches and passing out. We think it's got to do with the rheumatoid issues I have, but at least it's not a brain tumor, right? And at least I don't need surgery... *twitch* YAYS! |
