(Double post, because it's been a while since i posted last). This isn't really a WHOOT for me, but WHOOT to one of my childhood friends out there. In this case, congratulating him on his successful Goalball skills. For those of who aren't familar with the game, Goalball is a sport for the blind. It usually involves two teams of three, each team standing on side of the room (Think of a dodgeball setting, where there's technically a lline that seperates the team's territory). ALL of these players are blindfoled, and the object of the game is to stop a rather hard rolling from reaching the back of the one team's territory, all the while you attempt to get the ball past your oppents. If you're wondering how the hell any of the players can accurately stop a ball blindfold, said ball has a noisy bell in it. Thus, you use your ears to tell you where the ball is. That aside, my friend happens to be blind to an extent, and also albino (In fact, I'm proud to say he's a member of the largest albino family, at least at one time, and this is proven by guineas award they received for being thus). Anyway, me and my mom get a call from his mom, telling us that her son was in the newspaper today. Although it's in french, and my translating skills are a bit rusty, it says that he's considered one of the best junior players in Cananda (And this is when he's 18 years old). Even though i haven't read all of the article, it's awesome to see one of your friends being talked about positively in the newspaper |

"I believe that the human spirit is indomitable. If you endeavor to achieve, it will happen given enough resolve. It may not be immediate, and often your greater dreams is something you will not achieve within your own lifetime. The effort you put forth to anything transcends yourself, for there is no futility even in death." — Monty Oum | |

Last night, I got a call from Staffmark, telling me about an opening at Mabeline making displays. I call, get the job, starting tomorrow, $7.60 an hour, 5 AM to 1, but because of the overtime they're doing lately, to 3 PM. Then, a few hours ago... I got a call from Staffmark, letting me know that my supervisor from when I was a temp at Skippy, just managed to get me put in the regular rotation. So now, I get to sleep a little longer in the morning, and I'll be making $8 an hour doing a job that I KNOW is easy. Now ain't dat sumpin'? |

So, I've been out of joint and sick for the longest time. I finally got an appointment with the chiropractor to set my joints back in place. I didn't realize how much trouble I had been having with breathing until I walked out of the office and my two bottom ribs moved back into place. I haven't felt this pain free in months. No wonder though, I had two vertebra out, a shoulder out, two ribs out, my tail bone out, a hip out, and my atlas out. Yeah, so I can't tell you how nice it is to be able to move again. I can sit up strait, and my left arm doesn't go numb and stop working, it's amazing. |

..OW? I have a slight pain in my back around my shoulders every time I hunch over. This is likely BECAUSE I hunch over. Is this something to see a chiropractor about? Because this annoys me. I can't do situps very well. Due to my back. |

Well, try sitting up strait, every time you find yourself hunching, sit up strait. If it keeps bothering you, then see a chiropractor. May I suggest taking ginger supplements though? It's a natural pain killer. It helps me a lot when things hurt. Most people hurt when they start sit ups. If they hurt that bad, get serious about that posture. It helps with more then just sit ups and shoulder aches. |

MY GECKOS ARE BREEDING! >.>;; Yes indeedy. Noticed the female was ovulating yesterday, so today I went out and bought a breeding enclosure, and within 5 minutes of putting the pair together I had a successful copulation. It doesn't get much better than that! The cool thing about this is that I'll have babies by the time I come back from the field in August! Excellent! |

Well, I took my second-hand copy of Silent Hill 3 to get resurfaced. Now, provided I can actually get it to load at all (instead of saying "Insert Playstation or Playstation 2 format disc"), it will actually load more than the main menu. |
