I'm a dog guy, but do not at all blame you if you end up shooting the particular dogs responsible, Alk; these are dogs that have clearly never been properly socialized and are as much a danger to any human passerby as an animal. Furthermore, my own father once threatened the same to a neighbor after one of her dobermans chased me all the way home when I was very young; if this cat was so easily attack, I imagine they'd do similar to a young child. |

My brother asked if the dogs had torn her up, and thankfully they hadn't. If they had, I'd have been shooting every dog I saw that morning. I sent him a picture of her body, which I had moved somewhere to not only keep the dogs from going after her again, but to keep my niece from seeing her. I also sent him a picture of the place where I found her. I should delete the picture, but I also feel guilty about doing that. It's actually the only picture I think I have of her that actually shows all of her patches. I think mom has more pictures of her. My mom told my niece about it today. She (my niece) sounded angry. I had thought before that she would be crying a lot. After telling her, mom told me that I seemed more upset about it, and she thought I might cry. I damn near did, too. My niece is only here on the weekends, so she wouldn't've been as attached to the cat as I was. She had this really cute way of meowing. She almost always led into it with a trilling sound. She also liked to rub on my hands when I was using my phone or playing a video game. At the very least, up until the end, that cat knew she was loved. It was a lot better than her life before she came home with us, even though it was for about four months or so. |

So we have a crony capitalist and a criminal to choose for president. GREAT JOB, America! Proving to the world how stupid we've become. |

This really makes me sad. Largely because I know a lot of you guys LIVE in the US, and, unlike some of those representing Trump, you're actually fairly good, smart people. And the fact that, well, this'll probably stereo type more americans isn't a prospect I like. It shouldn't have to happen, but we're living in the real world, and stupidity is really bound to happen. For some reason I think you should read Terry Pratchette's Night Watch, DA. Mainly because of the theme involved |

*Sigh* Ya know, I'm really not so much worried about Trump being a crony capitalist so much as the fact that he is a racist dickhole. I mean, seriously, who cares about some shady real estate dealings when this motherfucker is all but leading a Klan revival? This is what people mean when they say you can't see the forest for the trees. You see the trees, and have no idea there's a forest there. The patient has cancer, but you're only treating his broken hand. A tiny, tiny hand. And now he's the nominee. We've already gone over the reasons why this should surprise no one. I don't feel like getting into it again. Suffice it to say that Trump is simply the logical extension of 50 years (and especially the last eight years) Republicans being racist dickholes (but quietly). But leaving that aside, this is actually a very easy choice. Like, incredibly easy. I'm talking maybe the easiest choice you've ever made in your life. This is not like South Park. It ain't Douche or Turd. It's Beer or Turd. Cake or Death. Threesome with Jennifer Lawrence and Katy Perry or molested by Jared Fogel. It's a simple question of which one of them you trust with the nuclear codes. Suck it up and vote for Hillary. After that, you can investigate her and impeach her to your heart's content. But what's more important than partisan politics is keeping this grotesque mutant and racist dickhole as far away from the nuclear codes as we possibly can. (Yes, Alissa, I know. I love me some Bernie too. But let's be real... it's gonna be Hillary) |

Yeah, it's the racist part that has me on edge the most. And, to a lesser extent, how he's sexist. |

To be honest with you... it may not be Trump just yet. The delegates get the last word on that. And I promise you, given the way he's acting...? Trump is guaranteeing that the delegates snub him and tell him to take a hike; there is no way they're going to alienate nearly 70% of the party by making a vulgar crony capitalist the nominee. Besides, that grifter only has 33% of the Republican electoral vote, and furthermore, most of that came from independents and crossover dems trying to interfere with the Republican nomination (seriously, how on earth are open primaries legal; democrats have NO BUSINESS voting in a republican primary other than to sabotage it). Plus the "alt right" (the KKK, Stormfront, neo-nazis, skinheads, all those "wonderful" characters). And then there's Kasich. Bigger traitor than Benedict Arnold if there ever was one. My point is, this isn't over. Cruz hasn't formally dropped out, but he may pull a Reagan and jump back in the day before the convention. And given the way Trump is acting (seriously, he's trying to copy Bernie now)... he may not get the nomination after all when the delegates realize that they and the constituents of the republican party have been conned. This is ANOTHER reason why we have the delegate system (NOT superdelegates) in place: to assure that men like Trump can't walk in and hijack the nomination with less than 51% electoral support. Respectfully? No, it's really not; the nomination is not decided until the convention. Period. Here's the thing... Cruz is still on the ballot. He has merely ceased campaigning. Here's another thing: Cruz's delegates control the rules committee for the convention. They can, if they wish, act on a conscience clause, or even write in a clause that would essentially deny Donald the nomination until he clears his legal affairs. releases his tax returns and puts the kibosh on his business interests. Here's ANOTHER thing: it is well known Trump's campaign surrogates have been making threats towards delegates. Trump will, of course, vehemently deny this like he's denied all the other garbage he's guilty of. Here's ANOTHER thing: the remaining states favor Cruz by far, and many of the polls have been shown to be complete crap this election. Here's ANOTHER thing: there is ample, DAMNABLE evidence that Trump was unethically and possibly illegally aided and abetted by the MSM - for the purpose of giving Hillary a walk in the park. Seriously, they allowed Trump to push an obviously false story about Rafael Cruz (Ted's father) - completely ignoring and even SUPPORTING slander in a public forum - and almost none called him out on it. Respectfully, it's not hard to connect the dots here; they're colluding to get Hillary elected, which is very much ILLEGAL. Here's ANOTHER thing: the vast majority of the delegates hate Trump's guts. If he keeps pushing further and further left? They have every right to essentially buck him in the manner a horse would reject a bad rider. There is NO WAY they are going to nominate somebody who is going to have well over half the party and prospective voters pissed off at them; absolutely none. "You can fool some of the people all of the time." That is why the delegate system is in place and why the founders of the USA avoided direct democracy like the plague; it's easy to manipulate large numbers of people into believing a lie, as Trump has done (my own grandparents among them which has incensed me even MORE that he's lying to THEM). The delegates that are supposedly "bound"? There is no actual law binding them; it's more of an "honor" system, and they are free to vote however they want. If Trump keeps showing that he's a red Democrat, they are more than free to plant a stampede of boots in his rump and kick him out the door (which Reince Preibus SHOULD have done, months ago, after the tabloid smear against Heidi Cruz). So no, it's not over until we get to the convention. Edited by Deadly Aim, May 5 2016, 07:36 AM.
