So work and such has been draining away my writing motivation and such. Hopefully I'll be back on track shortly, I don't wanna leave people hanging in BR and VF too much longer than I already have. And yes, I'm including past delays as well.
Once, there was a maiden...
...whose tears of grief nearly drowned the world.
So she tore out her heart, and made war against it.
In victory, she sealed it in a locket,
and trapped in a casting of bronze.
"Such is the price of unguarded emotion," she said.

I've been sick with hand, foot, and mouth disease. Symptoms first appeared more than a weak ago, starting with a sore throat, followed by a fever. At one point on Monday, I went to the kitchen to take some sleeping medicine, as the rashes on my hands and face were painfully itchy to the point that I couldn't sleep. Before I could take the medicine, though, I got really light-headed and ended up passing out in the kitchen, and came to in a puddle of piss. The rash had spread around the sides of my head, and into my ears.

By now, though, the rash is mostly healed, and all the marks are fading.

Also, I posted this from my flip phone.

I had started a new job on the 7th. The most recent I was on the clock was Saturday.

I went up there yesterday, and no one showed up. My boss told me my shift is from 10 to 4, and he knows I can't get in unless someone with a key or a passcode is there.

This morning, I went up there, and the same thing happened. In the morning, I'm gonna call, and I'm not going up there if I don't get an answer.

I haven't even been paid yet, and I've probably already lost another fucking job.

Well, time for another update on the job issue, I suppose. The day after my last post (meaning the 17th), I called my boss, and found out someone else was supposed to call me and say that we wouldn't be working for a couple days. So I went to work that day, had the following day off, and worked both days that weekend.

I have worked only one day since, because I can't get my boss to answer his phone or text messages. He won't tell me when I work next.

So only two paychecks in and I've already lost another fucking job because some asshole thinks it's beneath him to talk to me.

So since I have the number for his competitor, I'll just call them and see if they can hire me.

Less of a rant and more of a request... guys, PLEASE keep the Jersey Shore in your thoughts and prayers. It's so bad for the people at the shore. Very glad my brother came home from his island apartment right now.

At the time of this writing, I am sitting in the keg room freezing my ass off, because this is about the only place I can hide from the madness that is going on out there.

First off, we have a construction crew working on our floor, which means using heavy equipment to tea up the concrete. Our manager gave us earplugs, but those aren't helping much, and as a result the noise is still driving me insane. And I'm generally someone who likes to work in peace and quiet (I'm so sick of the radio blasting along with hearing everyone else's music on their phones, but that's a whole 'nother rant in and of itself).

Secondly, and probably more importantly, my coworkers are passing me off. They can't clean up after themselves (there's constantly empty pallets, plastic wrap, and used labels lying around all over the place), they don't listen to me when I ask them to keep it clean, or really in general, and to top it all off, at the moment they're all back there in the beer section (my section) crowding the whole place and inhibiting moment while I'm trying to put up today's shipment. It's not a large area, and space is tight, but nevertheless, there's like.five of them back there pulling orders all at once, all up in my business.

They're like a bunch of fucking children. They're objectively idiots, they don't listen, they don't understand the concept of a fucking trash can, they treat me like I'm their fucking babysitter, several of them should've been fired long ago, one blatantly and proudly does not give a shit about anything, least of all his work, and on and on and on.

Good lord, I miss cigarettes.

Anyway, it's really cold in here, but it's also quiet and peaceful. I do have an Under Armor shirt on, so that helps. I think I'll just chill in here for a while longer, pun maybe or maybe not intended.

My parents got my sister's oldest a cat for Christmas. More specifically, sometime after Christmas, they took her to pick out a cat to adopt.

She picked an adult cat who had been rescued from a hoarding case involving more than a hundred cats.

This cat had to live with us, because my sister wouldn't let her daughter keep it at their house. For some reason, that cat latched on to me. She followed me through the house, slept in the bed with me or on my chair.

Now, not too long ago, my mom got a dog from her coworker. Apparently someone was moving and couldn't keep her. She ended up having a litter of puppies. They're maybe seven weeks old now, and we let them out in the mornings and afternoons.

Saturday morning (yesterday, since it's technically Sunday now), my mom let the puppies out, and my niece's cat went with them. Shortly afterward, I went out, got the puppies inside. I'm not sure, but I may have seen my niece's cat. But a short while after that, I went back outside to get the cat.

I found her after a few minutes, next to the driveway, near the base of a tree. There was a bloodstain on her fur. She was cold, and stiff. The leaves around her were disturbed, as if there was a lot of movement.

I told my mom what happened, and stayed behind as everyone else went to my niece's soccer game so I could bury the cat.

What happened is that one of the dogs in the area attacked her. She wasn't torn apart, they didn't try to eat her, they just killed this innocent, sweet little cat.

I don't remember if I posted anything about when the dogs went after my sister's goats.

But this is where I draw the fucking line. Mom said we are getting rid of ALL the dogs we have. If any of the neighborhood dogs come into our yard again, I'm killing them. I don't care if it sounds cruel. People don't want to do anything to keep their dogs restrained in any way. The dogs in this area prove time and again that they will attack anything smaller than them which isn't a dog.

I have plenty of ammunition to handle this problem. The best part is that, since these dogs have proven to be not only pests but violent as well, I would face no legal ramifications if I shoot them on my family's property.
