Some people have been asking me how I draw things or go about fixing them up so that they look nice and pretty. Well, I'll share those techniques here, which were learned from other people. Most of these are done in a version of Photoshop, most likely Photoshop CS2, but they can be pulled off on older versions of the program (I also use Photoshop Elements 2.0, 3.0, Photoshop 6, 7, and CS2, so yeah... It's usable in the versions I have, though there might be some differences in the tool/menu names. If you need help, just PM me since that's the most efficient way of catching me during the day).

Also, if you want a tutorial that's not here yet, feel free to ask and I'll hunt one down.

I will be updating this as I go through my bookmarks, which is a lot... :$

NOTE: Several links in the resource section are down for the moment as I need to rehost these. I will get them up ASAP. Mostly these are the image and brush packages. I will also be putting up updated image packages as well.

Need help with some aspects of drawing or just a newbie to the idea and need tips? Below are those tutorials that I have used myself or have been highly recommended by friends. Credit goes to them for their ability to create such detailed instructions

ryo0oki's Anime Eyes Tutorial
Learn how to color in Anime eyes the way it is seen. Goes through basic to cell-shaded

Windfalcon's Feather Tutorial
This one is really good if you want to make high-detailed feathers on your characters

WindFalcon's Wing Tutorial II
Covers half-closed and above view of the wing

Nocturnal-Devil's Animated Avatar Tutorial
Very good if you want to make little animations for your avatars

Zambi's Cell-Shading Tutorial
Learn how to cell-shade! Whatever that means...

Dirt Dragon's Basic Photoshop Skills and Soft Shading Tutorial
Learn the basics of Photoshop and how to shade with various techniques

Crysa's Angelic Wings Tutorial
An overview of various angel wings that can be drawn. This is a good tutorial to compound with WindFalcon's feather and wing tutorials

Divine-Star's Basic CG with Tablet Tutorial
Just some basic things that can be done for those with tablets

Ramy's Anime Eyes Tutorial
Learn the basic shapes of Anime eyes and how to approach them correctly

Ramy's Digital Painting Tutorial
Details steps on how to make your pictures look like paintings instead of just pictures that you slap colors on

Nolavan's CG Hair Tutorial
Learn how to CG hair correctly

Sheil's Wing Tutorial
Another tutorial for artists who want to draw wings on their characters. Covers basic structure

Herm85's Full CG Tutorial
GOes step by step from start to finish on how to color your charaacters to adding word balloons and other fun little trinkets.

Raerae's Angel Wing Tutorial
Yet another angel wing tutorial, covers basic structure and simple feathers

dinyctis' Planet Tutorial
How to create your own planets in Photoshop. Must click download to get the .ZIP that has both the HTML and JPEG versions of the tutorial; member access not required

Lt. Jessie's Speed Tutorial
This one is intended for a quick and easy way to color in images. Granted this is not very professional, but it gets the work done for those who have little to no time

Lt. Jessie's Vector Lineart Tutorial
This one is very 56k-unfriendly, so be warned here... This is a tutorial on how to make nice vector line art using paths. Granted that it'll make your image look really nice in the end, but it's gonna take a very long time, especially for those who are new to Photoshop. Took about 3 hours to compile this one by request

Sai-Manga-Tuts
A whole plethora of tutorials ranging from various features. Woth a looko around if the above doesn't help.

Crysa's Colthing and Folds Tutorial
Tips on how to draw clothing on your characters

Icz128's Hand Tutorial
Tips and pointers on how to draw hands in various poses

Polykarbon Tutorials
Great place for generalized needs

Manga Tutorials
Lots of good basic stuff, as well as advanced techniques

Naska's Beginners CG
I've been using this method for years and there really isn't anything easier or more practical. Discusses scanning, cleaning, preparing for coloring via the Channel selection tool, coloring by layers and shading by grouping layers.

Lineart with the Pen tool
Using the Pen tool properly. I personally like the third method most (even though it's the most time-consuming...)

Lt. Jessie's Eye Coloring Tutorial
This one is very 56k-unfriendly, so be warned here... This is a tutorial that follows the Vector Tutorial and shows how to color eyes the fast way. Granted, other techniques can be used in conjunction to this, but this one is the fastest for those who have no time.

Solar Voyager Space Tutorials
This site has many tutorials on how to create galactic landscapes and beautiful space scenery.

Human Anatomy Pictures for Artists
Good place to find references in drawing the human body. Just a warning, there are some full nude images on the site, but this is due to the fact since drawing the body does sort of need to see a few things in order to understand why some things are shaped the way they are in images.

Artist's Hospital, Drawing Reference Library
Just found recently, this is one super reference page with links to more tutorials than you can shake your fist at. Awesome for beginners and advanced alike.

Superiorgamer's Nebula Tutorial
This is a good nebula tutorial for quick and simple sections of space.

ColdFlame1987's Nebular Tutorial
Oddly enough, I had this faved, but never brought it out... A very awesome tutorial for galactic art.

Lt. Jessie's Formal Coloring Tutorial
I just finished this not too long ago for the guys at Poke-Plushies and thought that I would share it with you guys. Contains the basics of coloring, as well as using certain tools, and gives a crash course on file-types.

Premade files to be used in Photoshop for your needs.

Despite being 50 years old, Figure Drawing for All It's Worth and Drawing the Heads and Hands are great references for those struggling to grasp anatomy.
