Full Name: Magnus Ishachus Miller

Age: 23 (born in winter)

Weight: 80 KG

Height: 1.75 meters

Gender: Male

Species: Human

Hair: light brown (short cropped)

Eyes: dark green

Skin: fair

Occupation: Priest

Skills: Swordfighting, hand to hand combat.

Outwards appearance (clothing): Magnus’ outward appearance is what you would expect to see of a monk rather than a priest, He wears a heavy brown hooded robe that helps conceal his weaponry and a vest of light armour which he normally wears both between and during battles.
The rest of his clothing is what you would expect of a priest worshipping Aquacia, but for the pair of arm guards which he wears.

Equipment:
Bokken-
This is a wooden (white oak) katana Magnus is always seen to be carrying, and despite it’s appearance it is in fact a highly effective weapon. The wood of the sword is centered around a rod of crystal which is used to focus his magic power into it’s attacks. The effects of each attack are internal but have very different effects to his fighting style, each strike triggers a small shockwave though a target’s blood, disrupting and disconnecting nerves. It can also be used to manipulate other liquids (even hold them in the air) but it takes vast amounts of concentration to do and even without interruption. Despite being made of wood, the weapon is surprisingly hard to burn, namely due to the fact that that his magic is constantly flowing into it.
It is Magnus’ chosen weapon, but he is careful to only aim for areas that will recover from the sword’s effects, such as the limbs. Were the blade to connect with areas such as the head or chest, the effects would be fatal and would kill the target in a matter of seconds.

Staff:
This appears to be a large ‘walking stick’ upon first glance but instead the item performs a much greater purpose. Again, the central section of this weapon has been replaced by a crystal core, with the tip being visible at the bottom end.
This is not an entirely combat related weapon but instead designed to perform support in combat or during a ritual. Like in the other weapon, the crystal converts and boosts Magnus’ magic energy into a useable force which draws up small amounts of water with each time it connects with the ground and purifies it, storing it within the staff until it is needed. It’s only form of attack has proven to be devastating but unreliable in the past, by stabbing out with the top half of the weapon, all the stored liquid is released in one short burst of extremely high pressure water with enough force to shatter bone, though it takes considerable time to build up the amount of liquid required to do this again.

Pendent: This is nothing special, simply a steel symbol of his faith. It is of a simple spherical design with several tiny vials holding droplets of water inlaid into points of it’s surface.

Personality:
Magnus can be seen as being highly logical and lawful, but at the same time cold and immoral. He is an incredibly strong believer in ‘the end justifies the means’ and will normally stand with the decisions of another priest of a higher rank even if they go against his personal beliefs. However, he will normally choose the most direct approach to an objective available and has a habit of resorting to fighting when no other fast option is available, especially against fire priests. He is also especially narrow minded when it comes to fire, seeing it is a form of pure destruction and pollution.
He will attempt to avoid killing a foe whenever possible, but he normally sees death as simply as an inevitability rather than a tragedy, this latter perspective comes from the events shortly before he became a priest.

Character History:
Magnus was born late into one of the harsh winters and under a highly promising sign that he would be accepted as a priest, this was unusual for the small village he lived as it had been several generations since a possible priest has been born.
His childhood was largely uneventful, and though he knew that he would one day become a priest he saw it as something he would simply deal with later on in life.

A few short months before the water priests came for him, a massive fire erupted from one end of the village and quickly began to spread from one house to the next, burning nearly half the settlement before it’s destruction was halted. Many lay dead, including Magnus’ family leaving him alive but burned and traumatized.
The priests came for him as his wounds were still healing, despite this Magnus quickly followed them, knowing that this was the only choice he had left for a future.
A few days into his training, Magnus’ strengths and shortcomings became visible, he was incredibly strong with magic but a lack of skill prevented him from performing all but the simplest of tasks and manipulation of water quickly became chaotic and uncontrollable.

He was on the verge of being rejected, when in one of his classes he learned of the fire priests. The memories of what had taken place in his past greatly affected his judgment and though the source and spread of the fire had been proven to be purely accidental, he began to blame them for what happened. To Magnus the fact that people could worship such a form of destruction was unthinkable.

Though out the rest of his training, Magnus kept this knowledge to himself, putting all of his will and strength into the sessions related to combat. By the time he had achieved priesthood he knew a great deal of the prayers and the rituals needed, but otherwise all of his abilities were relevant to combat.
Concerned about this development, the priest who trained Magnus sends him on a pilgrimage to learn more about the word and it’s people, in the hope that he would change his ways…
