A long journey?

Fragment Posts: 197 Group: Roleplayer Member #63 Joined: Oct 12, 2008	Well, who'd be interested in a RP that in all honesty for all intents and purposes is mainly about a long ass journey from A to B? I dont have a full storyline planned at the moment, mainly because I'm waiting to see how many people are interested. However, this will take place on an entirely new continent. Got a whacky new character that doesn't really fit into the original canon? Try them out here! For your original, 'canon' abiding characters, sure it will be a bit iffy for a load of people to suddenly come from another continent, but I have a plan. The guy who sets the whole journey in motion doesn't want to attract attention from hiring a bunch of famous locals, but distant strangers whom everyone knows next to nothing about. He has a contact on the 'canon' continent to hire adventurers, and also just sent out a general message for adventurers This guy is basically the healing guru on the new continent. He can cure you of any ailment, give you a level in badass-ness, hell, even bring loved ones back to life if the body is fresh. He's willing to do any of the above and more if you help him on this quest. That's probably reason enough for some characters to leave their homes. Any takers?

The floor was an expensive wood, and the room was illuminated by several fresh candles. A middle aged man with thinning grey hair and a chubby face was sat at a gilded desk in the centre of the room; the right wall was covered entirely in filing cabinets, and the left was covered in windows, now shrouded in curtains. “Boss?” the small man asked, peering up at the man behind the desk who was currently engaged in reading through a stack of yellowed papers. “Hmmm? What is it Terrence?” The man behind the desk did not even look up from the papers. “A letter. From him. His high Holiness.” Terrence scratched his cheek as he spoke, a subconscious way of expressing his nervousness. “Ah.” Finally he put his papers down. “Let me see it.” Terrence passed the slip of parchment up to the man, who promptly snatched it away. He sat their reading it for a moment, a smug grin slowly forming on his face. He read through it again, and put it down on his desk. “Seems his Holiness wants some o’ the adventuring type over there soon.” The man said, stroking his chin in thought. He picked up the slip of paper again and passed it back to Terrence. “Here, take this, put what it says onto a notice, specifically mention his holiness’ rewards for loyal servants. Put my name on it too, for credibility. Make sure it’s copied up quick… Lots of copies! I want every adventurer in the land to hear of this!” “Of course sir, I’ll get right on it.” Terrence bowed and left the room, leaving the man at the desk to look through his papers again. --- Calling all bold Adventurers! His Holiness of the mighty nation of Norya, of the continent Lithicor seeks your aid! Will you prove yourself in this mighty quest against the vilest forces of evil? Will you prove yourself worthy for the gifts of a god? If you believe so, come to the northern port town Utenia! Utenia is engaged in heavy trading with the Noryan city of Namosis. You will surely find passage there! Once you are at the city of Namosis head for the tower of Light for a direct audience with his Holiness himself! This request is full endorsed by Sir Reginald Septimus XIV, head of the Northern bounty office. God like powers including: • Curing of ANY ailment! • Heightened Natural abilities! • Resurrection of a loved one! • Giving the ability to learn Magic! • And many more!
