If you're a returning member, no, your account has not been deleted, we've actually changed board since you were last here. just go ahead and register, PM one of the staff, let us know you're here, and we'll get right to work converting your information and post count from the old board. Keep in mind that any RPs running on the old site are probably still there, so if you don't see them here, just check the 'Home' Page, and follow the link back to the old board. |

Righteo then. I have a couple of questions that I need answering. Number One: In the Sci-Fi section, are there Human psychics? If so, are there any specific guidelines for them? (And did I spell it right? MS word says so, but it looks a bit iffy to me) Number Two: Would a character be allowed that followed another character around. I've seen characters with people following them and the like, but its always from the point of view of the person being followed. IE: Bob is the leader of a group. Rolf, John and Lemon-Face follow him around. All characters are controlled by the same RPer, but the RPers main point of view is from Bob's. Now, my question is, would I be able to roleplay from Lemon-Face's point of view? |

The answer to both your questions is yes. Psychics are something we've mentioned from time to time, but we've never really gotten very heavily into the subject. That's fine though if you wanna use one. And yeah, you can write from anyone's point of view you want. |

Yeah, we don't see many psychics around much; you'll find a few here and there but not many. I was actually thinking of delving into the subject more actively on RE, since I've always come up with a few wacky mental ideas to add to the fray. Trigger Minds are a concept that I've been working on; minds that aren't necessarily psychic per say but do bare an odd ability to become symbiotically linked with a psychic. The link can help alleviate the Trigger Mind's mental disabilities while the host receives various benefits, like a kind of mental defense or 'memory' encodement. I haven't really yet worked out what the later benefits would be yet. I also have a few other concepts going out, but they're more simplistic than these ones. |

Thanks for the answers. I also have one more question. Would I be able to make a character with a speech impediment? Just a lisp or something of that nature, not drastically altering dialogue. |

Go nuts! .... Ok, well, there really isn't much that you can't create on RE; you can create pretty much whatever you, probably. However, we obviously do look over quality and the aspects of a character (Eye bleeding clichés are generally frowned upon for obvious reasons). There's also the matter of godly characters; characters that are over power. This would include characters capable of getting out of almost every situation unscathed; defeat enemy in one blow, etc. Generally anything that would eliminate the tension built within a story; and what would make a story a story. There are a few exception to this rule, chiefly speaking Aiko's Aiko, as she's extremely dangerous and perhaps godly to an extent, but her character is well applied to anyone plot to warrant her use. The same thing would go for the character you mentioned; while I don't know what's he's capable of doing, you gotta make sure you pull off the speech impedement problem well when it comes to character interaction. But I digress, there's honestly no need to put pressure on you about quality. RE is all about having fun and trying new ideas and the like, and if you want to play around with a character who has a speech impedement, then by all means do so. I'm interested to see what'll come out of it. |

Thanks. Y'see, the character I'm thinking of is a henchman to someone I haven't thought of yet, and is really badly burnt, so having a partially melted tongue is bound to mess up his speech. Not psychic though. I was just curious about that. |
