Again, I would go with fantasy section. You can go random if you want though. And differences? That's what different continents are for ^_^. You could make it canon and still have whatever you want. I think even technology could even lean a bit one way or another. |

By request, here's my description for witches. Unlike vampires and werewolves, I would think witches would be more varied, but I think some basic rules should apply. All of this is totally up for discussion of course and I'm always happy for feedback or ideas. ~ Witches Appearance: Witches look just like normal humans. They have the ability to tap into magic, are good with potions, and are often referred to as Cunning People. Some are treated with awe and respect amongst the people of their village while others are despied. Black Cat: Black cats are the standard of every witch. Soon after a witch comes to realize her power a black cat often crosses her path, the moment the witch and the cat’s eyes meet, they are bonded for life. Whether the witch can speak to her cat is on a witch-by-witch basis. The cat lives as long as the witch. Broomstick: Contrary to popular belief, a witch can actually fly any kind of object. The object, however, has a speed depending upon its purpose. Example: A 2x4 is meant for strong, unmovable support, thus it will be slow. A broom is often the fastest and handiest of tools around, though some witches prefer to ride mops. Lifespan: Unknown. Some witches have lived for centuries while others have died within a year. Magic: The ability for magic varies wildly. Some witches can do little more than ignite a fireplace while others can call a blizzard to decimate a village. Male Witches: Most would believe the term for a male witch would be Warlock, however that term is offensive as it means someone who does harm with magic. Rather, the term witch is used for both male and female magic users. (I am just using ‘her’ as a convenience) Offspring: A witch's ability for magic has no effect on any children. Origin: Unknown. Personality changes: Most witches become more intelligent about the world around them. Powers/Abilities: (see: Magic, Broomstick, and Transformation, for more info) Silver: Silver has no special effect on a witch. Strength: There are no physical strengths gained from becoming a witch. Transformation: Witches can transform into a cat, bird, mouse, or dog. Unlike werewolves, however, the witch retains her full human cognitive functions. All animal forms the witch takes lacks a tail, making her easy to spot amongst trained witchhunters. Water: A witch cannot be submerged in water. Instead, it is like solid ground to her. Small amounts, however, have no effect. One inch of water, mud, or rainfall still have normal effects. Weaknesses: A witch is allergic to salt. When salt touches her skin she becomes burned. Saltwater dampens her power but does not burn her. |
