SUPER SHELL BATTLE MODE 3!

Name: Teffra Aboris

Race: Half-elf (other half is human)

Gender: Female

Age: 24

Height: 5.6 ft

Weight: 150 Kg

Skin color: White

Eye color: blue

Hair color: Chestnut brown

Skills: Venetsium system specialty, intermediate mechanical skills, moderate combats skills with sword weapons

Personality: Teffra is somewhat of an outgoing person, and has an attitude for exploration. She isn’t too irked by weird things like the undead or people with cooky personalities, as some of her friends are quite ‘eccentric’ themselves; so long as one is trying to kill or mutilate her, of course. As a final note, when there’s something she really wants, it’s very hard to dissuade her.

History: Sometimes one might think that he or she is safe from a extremely rare disease, as it rarely ever happens, you rarely feel agitated to worry about it at all. But, once one thinks about, there’s almost always a chance for something to happen, and no matter how little the probability, it can still happen. It’s just sometimes, there’s nothing we can do about happening until it does, and that’s when the panic usually starts

For Teffra, her fate couldn’t have been worse – well, at least in some sense. Sometime around her birth, the doctor who had been with her parents around birth, that she had a rare heart disease dubbed ‘Pelmanos’ – not much was known about it, but it was almost impossible to detect with normal magic, and there was no way of treating it. The disease itself would stay dormant within their daughter for some time, but usually went active around between one’s ‘teen’ (pardon me if there’s a much better word) and adult hood.

When it did, the heart would almost be immediately killed.

The parents, who was a wandering elf woman and a male metal weaver (Like a kind of ‘mage’) human, and there was obviously a lot of distraught about this news. After some desperate chat with the doctor, who was a good friend of the human, the group held a risky idea; the doctor said the only way the disease wouldn’t be able to affect her if it wasn’t organic, as any good doctor knew a disease always attacked organic tissue and not rock.

In this case, the Givon, the metal weaver, propose that he’d used metal weaving talents to create an ‘artificial' heart. Tella, the elf, didn’t exactly love the idea, and Givon didn’t either; but it was all they had to prolong their daughter’s life, and after an arduous conversation and a small argument, they decided to do it with the doctor’s help.

After that, Tella and Givon discussed their daughter’s future, having some conflicting opinions in where and how she might live her live. While both the mother and father cared for their daughter as well as themselves, their ideas in what their daughter’s life should be like conflicted a lot. The doctor, noticing that their argument was going nowhere, proposed that they do something that went to both their tastes.

It was then settled with shaky metaphorical contract. Tella would bring her daughter with her to her home, where she can be schooled in elven knowledge, and after some time, would return Givon hometown for an occasional visit. Givon himself, while wanting to show dedication to caring for his daughter, also wanted to continue his research on the ruins and artifacts of a mysterious race called Yophobans. Aside from getting to know her father, Teffra’s heart also needed more venetsium – a magical energy that can only be ‘harvested’ from a certain area - to be imbued into it.

Teffra herself wasn’t thrilled about what her body contained, and first hand news in her younger days had left sometimes frustrated. It was often believed the reason she couldn’t do magic was because of it, though there was know real evidence to prove. However, as she aged, so did her maturity, and she eventually came to accept that there was no way in helping who she was and it was best to carry on with the rest of her life.

In her years, she had learned some combat skills from her elven side and could gain rank as a warrior of some kind, but she had no interest in becoming one. Being one of those heroic defenders didn’t exactly appeal to her. Ironically, despite her early contempt, Teffra held an unusual interest for the beings, constructs, and artifacts that her father worked. This interest grew steadily on her like a kind of fungus, and, in fact, had admiration and friendship with the ‘people’ her father worked with.

Her life in her elven home was almost entirely the opposite, barely having anyone there she could call friend, and barely anything interested her there anymore. Her ‘interests’ had gotten to her, and she knew what she needed to do. Around the age of 19, while visiting her father’s town (Or city, as her ‘home’ is still tentative), she said to her mother she was staying.

The mother was almost hysterical, at least for a short while, and there was no budging Teffra; once she wanted something, it was very hard to dissuade her. After calming down and gaining a hold of herself, the mother, if not in a difficult manner, came to accept Teffra’s desire.

Since then, Teffra has been able to learn more about what ‘runs’ inside of her ‘friends’, and quite a few other things too.
"To look for a shipwreck is at best a crapshoot, and to launch and fund a search, it helps to be the headmaster of the village idiot school or else the kind of stubborn lunatic who tries walk through walls simply because they're in the way. I probably fall in the latter group." - Clive Cussler, The Sea Hunters II
