Frederick stayed silent through the entire conversation. As a scientist, he tended to speak only when necessary, focusing all on his studies of whatever was needed at the time. This left him with under-par bargaining skills, and, whether it was a byproduct of her innate abilities tied to the winds or not, Tracy seemed to be handling it just fine. When she proudly said "We'll do the best we can!" Frederick smiled. Tracy trotted away, beckoning for him and the others to follow. Before he followed, he threw up a friendly hand at the refugees of the church, smiling at them before turning away. With a brisk step, he jogged up to Tracy, who was still plodding enthusiastically along. "So," he said quietly, "where do you suppose we should head first? If we can find another old vehicle, I can try and get it functional for a bit." |
