A slightly reflective pitch black shape seemed to slither through the space far above G79; Some said it looked like a beefy Kukri with red lights and legs, others thought it bore more resemblance to a Magnum pistol on steroids (still with legs). Said legs went into action as the Krak Jakomo II sliced towards G79. Though they were too stubby to be anything more than landing gear, they were now proving their worth as thrusters, firing in a rhythmic pattern that was slowly righting the ship to what would be G79's rightside up, at least for the side it was coming in on. Main engines cut out as the thing entered the atmosphere. It's shape was highly aerodynamic, and little more than a faint blue glow showed up about it's hull as it entered. Now flying using only the thruster-legs, it approached the specified latitude and longitude of where it was supposed to land. A hatch, with two highly articulated doors, opened. Or rather, a pattern of red lines traced itself in the back of the ship (as a warning in case anyone was leaning against this side of it), and without warning the outermost part of it slid up, and the bottom slid down becoming a ramp. This was accompanied by almost no noise, save for a faint electromagnetic hum. A ridiculously disproportioned figure stepped out. At least eight feet tall, somewhat shiny, pitch black. Hell, it even seemed slightly iridescent. Hukkal Okim. The ship's hatches closed. "...So much for the designated landing zone being close to the dig site..." The Esvogg snarled, quickly re-entering his ship and turning it in the general direction of the dig-site, and then gunning the engine. Some minutes later he found traces of civilization, immediately stopped the gunship, and landed. This slight error in calculation had cost him precious time. He hurried to the dig site, looking for the "Tholburn" character. |
