Ways to make these forums more active Here are some ways that you can get the forums more active and make people want to use these forums. I've had trouble with my forums with having alot of inactive members, but using the methods I will describe below, I was able to get them back and foruming! 1. More BBCode (APPROVED) Ok, BBCode can do alot in posts like change the color, quote, link, post pictures, ect. I have browsed the official Zetaboard help forum and found alot of add-ons to the BBCode that include glowing text, sliding text (marquee) and more! I will be more than happy to provide you with this. If you want, I can pm you the code and you can just install it in. 2. Forum scavanger hunts with rewards Scavanger hunts are a great way to create fun on a forum. You can make a thread in a forum saying that there is a certain thing hidden somewhere on these forums and show what it is on that thread. Then go and place it somewhere on these forums. It can be on a thread, in a post, on the calander, or anywhere! This will make everyone search through the forums to find it. But for people to want to find it, there has to be a reward. Some possible rewards are a temporary promotion to a moderator position, place them in their own group in which they can do more than they can in their current group, and some more that you can think of. Thanks for the ideas, Gorgor. ![]() . More BBCode I#d be happy to add more BBCode. Send me the codes and I'l add them to the board. 2. Forum scavenger hunts For this to work, we need a user base to begin with. If we had many inactive users, I would do this. However, our problem is a lack of members; we need to find more people who will join the site. |

Theboy's previous methods of encouraging people were: blackmail, torture and kidnap...That's how he got the rest of us to join...They worked quite well

Lol, Stephen. I think we're looking for some more legal methods. Note to any gullible people: Stephen's last post was a joke, please do not arrest me.

Yes, that's what I want to eventually achieve. However, that does require guides to be written... |

Lets "borrow" those guides already written on the old site ? I'm sure your fishing one took a long time...And i know my mining one took me the best part of 10 mins. |

Yes, I was thinking of putting those in Stephen, I was just hoping that we could get some more written before we put them up. Having all of 2 guide in our guides section doesn't look good. So get writing! ![]() Gorgor, the old URL was http://killer5777.proboards.com/index - it was a lot more active than this is. Before you suggest it, I have tried getting old people back many times before. |

I think you mean the old URL was this: http://killer5777.proboards.com/index.cgi and i'm sure the other guys who put on guides won't mind us...Borrowing theirs until someone else replaces them
