Newcomers are the greens. They're the very first group you're put in when you register. For security reasons and to prevent bot attacks, Newcomers require 5 posts in order to be promoted. They're not allowed to post polls, new topics, or vote.

Members is the base group. It requires 5 posts to enter(security reasons), but provides you with the basic functions required to progress in your forum life. Members of this group may edit their own posts and post new threads.

Legacy are the members that have stuck to the general community for a long time. They also include members that have proven themselves to be capable on the server, or otherwise impressed the staff by one skill or another. They're allowed to delete their own posts, and a few other goodies.

Ambassador's are representatives from other roleplaying communities. They may be regular members elected by their community to represent it, or even the server or forum host of that community. They're given the same functions as Legacy and Members, but should be treated with respect.

Server Staff administrate the server and keep it clean. They don't have the same power as Forum Staff, but should be treated the same as the rest of the staff. It is possible to be both Forum and Server Staff, in which case the member will be placed in the group of his/her choice.

Forum Staff include both the Forum Moderator's and Forum Administrator's.

Forum Moderators moderate either specific sections, or the entire forum at once. They can issue warnings, close threads, and request the removal of a certain member.

Forum Administrators have access to the more technical aspects of the forum. They're capable of suspending accounts, and have access to everything the other usergroups have.

Forum Sub-Administrators have access to the same stuff as the Forum Administrators, and is generally just used to differentiate between root and regular.
