Section I General Behaviour & Chat General Chat ~ Whenever you play, you should take your general behaviour into consideration. Treat people as you would in real life; Don't go insulting them when you disagree with their opinion. If you believe their opinion to be completely wrong, or potentially harmful to the community, report it to an administrator and the matter will be discussed thoroughly. Out Of Character(Henceforth OOC) is another issue that frequently emerges during roleplay; People tend to forget the personality of their character. While, at times, it might be difficult to imagine the actions your character might take, try to ask yourself questions as you roleplay. If you stand infront of a locked door, and you roleplay a soldier, wouldn't it be a better idea to contact a superior rather than just blow down the door? Colour Code ~ During your sessions on the server, you may happen to encounter people that use various colours to represent their character. In the names, these don't matter and are purely aesthetic. However, In Character(Henceforth IC) it is a vital part of the roleplaying experience. Remember these colours and their assigned category; Radio, Force Talk, Whisper, Normal Talk, Evil, Alien, Thought. Respect ~ Respect is an important factor in the community. If you show disrespect towards another member, it may result in people not wanting to listen to you anymore. Disrespect towards a member of staff will result in a warning being issued upon first and second offense, a 24 hour server and forum ban on third offense, and an unrevokable permanent ban on fourth offense. Unrevokable means you will not be able to make an appeal, this goes for both forum and server. |

Section II Approval, & Classes General Approval ~ There are very few roleplaying classes that require approval. The few that do require approval are those with potential to derail the entire preset storyline. New alien races must be approven by more than 70% of the staff. This is to prevent people from going and creating custom races that do not have any proper storyline. A few tips on gaining approval; Write a proper, long, and in depth history of the entire species, from their birth till the present. While this wont guarantee you approval, it will greatly enhance your chances. The same rule goes for administrators, with the exception of alien races that might exist within the Star Wars Canon(Yuuzhan Vong, Chiss, Rakatar). Force Approval ~ Due to past problems, you must roleplay at least one character from Rank 1 to Rank 7. This goes for all potential factions; All Force Related factions must have 7 ranks, and all members except for the leader must begin at Rank 1. No exceptions. Same goes for staff. Forbidden Classes ~ The only kind of classes that are forbidden are energy creatures, or otherwise invincible classes. This is in order to preserve the flow of the story, and keep it within the boundaries of real life physics. There may be exceptions to the rule, but in those cases the character must remain neutral at all times, and only combat on the mortal plane. These cases will still require approval from the staff(See: 2.0). Other Restrictions ~ Don't attempt to carry more than three weapons at any one time, unless you have a good IC reason. The limit on weapons are: One pistol, a medium rifle(E-11, for example), and one heavy weapon, or two pistols, a light rifle, and no heavy weapon. The use of common sense is highly recommended in these cases. If you couldn't carry the weapons, your character probably couldn't either. The equipment restrictions are limited; You may carry up to seven grenades, or three grenades and two pieces of light equipment. |

Section III Forum Rules Staff ~ Forum & Server staff members are not exempted from the rules mentioned above, unless otherwise stated. If a staff member is observed violating a rule, either by a fellow staff or a member, report it to the head administrator of the section(Varies, check the staff list for an immediate list). Severe violations(abuse of power, disruption of staff functions, or otherwise unacceptal behaviour) will result in demotion. The demotion may be either temporary, or permanent. Continued violations will result in a forum-wide ban, and, if the host see's fit, a server ban. ZetaBoards Terms of Service ~ Upon registrations, you agreed not only to the Rpg Serenity Rules, but to the ZetaBoards Terms of Service. For the continued safety of the forums, any violation of the ZetaBoards Terms of Service will result in an immediate removal from the forums, and IP ban. |

Section IV Closing Words Everything mentioned in the Sections I-III are the written guidelines, rules, and terms of Rpg Serenity. Nothing remains unwritten or unsaid, and as such you may always use it to determine if you have been unfairly treated. Failure of the staff to enforce the rules will be seen as the responsibility of said person, and not the user in question. This entire thread will remain visible, even to banned members, as will the appeal section. An appeal can be made if you feel you have been unfairly banned, from either server or forum, in the Community Chat section. Changes to the ruleset may occur, and in such cases the staff will alert every active user by continously bumping the topic for 48 hours. Thanks, Serio, RPG Serenity Staff |
