Random Suzaku Kururugi Fact of the Month

Suzaku Kururugi was actually the missing link needed to create the Atomic Bomb. Scientists were baffled on how to fabricate the weapon until Suzaku showed them a Spinzaku in real time. Everything soon became clear to them.

Character of the Month
Wendy Alexis Stalingrad
Wendy Alexis Stalingrad
Wendy Alexis Stalingrad was born to parents of particularly low status in the Holy Britannian Empire. Her mother was a simple chambermaid to the Royal Family and her father was a low ranking soldier in the military. Her father was killed early on when the Black Knights first appeared and her mother was killed soon after when during the Battle of Narita. Sent to live with her grandfather, she spent the better part of her years with him, learning how to be a proud soldier of Britannia. When he too was killed in the line of fire and when the Black Knights finally emerged triumphant, she was left with nothing. As such, she didn't hesitate to join the Britannian Restoration League upon hearing of their creation to get a shot at payback. All she could think of was destroying Zero and 'restoring' her homeland. Now a full fledged member of the BRL, Wendy's specialty is infiltration and espionage and she is often assigned to go undercover in Japan for various reasons. Has a long standing rivalry with Reid Legato, Becca Buchanan, and just about anyone else that gets on her nerves. She is probably well known for her white hot temper and 'shoot first, ask later' disposition.

Aoi stopped and looked around. It was quite nice outside today, much nicer than usual. He was pleased when Becca said that she'd like to stay. Tossing his belongings next to the fire, Aoi walked over to the hammock and stopped it's swinging. Climbing into the hammock he raised Becca's head and placed it on his shoulder. Taking a deep breath he started:

"The beginning huh? Well. I was born to a Britannian Father and Japanese mother. I lived most of my life in Japan studying and swordfighting. We moved to Britannia when the Black Rebellion broke out. We moved back when things settled down, a little. When we got back, my... my parents. These group of Britannians..."

Aoi started to shift a little. This was the hard part of the whole story. That day. That fateful day that changed everything.

"These group of Britannian's confronted my father about staying with my mother. He said that he wouldn't leave her and that they'd better leave. They laughed and then. They shot him. They went after mother next. Sh- she held me close when they killed her. I guess they assumed that I was dead. I- I didn't know what I could do. I just stayed there.

I left after a while, I couldn't stand it. Some time later, I got into a fight with these group of Britannians. For some reason, the security guard thought it'd be funny if he helped them out. I don't really even know what happened. All I know is that I ended up shooting the guard and ran. I lived alone on the streets for a while, and remembered about the bank and the money my parents had saved up. Luckily, I knew all my parent's information so I was able to get a considerable amount of money. Got some weapons, armor, and I was on my own.

Not much happened. I traveled from Britannia to Japan and lived on my own. Found this area here, and made it a camp site. Some years pass, and now we're here."

Becca took in all of Aoi's story while continuing to rest on his shoulder. It was so sad, someone like him didn't deserve such things to happen to him or his family for that matter. This proved that the BRL needed to be stopped at all costs, seeing as to how those same Britannians were now running amok in their forces. She unconsciously gave Aoi a hug, wondering if he had ever gotten one after he lost his parents. And now she thought about it, he really didn't have a home to go to. And that pained expression he had plastered on his face while telling the depressing tale was enough of a tear jerker.

So, with all of this weight on his shoulders, why didn't he mind everyone loading their problems on him as well. Or maybe it was just the fact that their problems help mask the pain of his own issues. Either way, it made Becca feel guilty for even thinking her own troubles were such a huge deal. She still had family to go back to, unlike people like Aoi who were basically orphaned by the war hatred.

"I'm...so sorry to hear that...", was all she could muster, her voice slightly cracking.

She felt relieved that he wasn't wandering around without any money, not to mention he could easily hunt food if he really needed to with that equipment he has.

"How...does someone make it thorough that...?", she found herself asking shortly.

Finished with his story, Aoi felt completely exhausted. Never had talking taken such a toll, except for that one incident. Trying to keep a hold of himself, Aoi was caught by surprised when Becca suddenly hugged him. Unconsciously, Aoi hugged back and closed his eyes. How he had missed such a simple show of emotion for so long. Lost in his thoughts, he barely heard Becca's voice. Reduced to whispering, he said:

"It's...... it's fine. Nothing can change it. Just have to move on."

When Becca asked how he could make it through such a life, Aoi was left stunned. How did he do it? Did he even try? Did he ignore it all and steel his heart from emotion? Aoi looked down and his eyes met Becca's. There was only one true answer to this quesiton:

"I don't know"

When the two met eyes, Becca could just see the pain in Aoi's. She had regretted asking about his past now if it had upset him so much. It put her off balance to see him this way, the same as earlier when he was troubled. But that was only due to the fact that he almost froze to death under a huge mound of snow. Speaking of that, he seemed to have recovered rather quick and it doesn't seem like he needs to go to the hospital or anything. Still maybe it's best that they talk at a warmer setting, the temps were continuing to drop outside. Even though Becca new that was best, she didn't want to leave the campsite, she didn't want this day to end at this point. After today, she knew that things wouldn't be the same any more.

She hadn't even noticed that she was still hugging Aoi until the sharp shrill of a nearby bird had woken her up. Slowly prying herself off of him, she quickly apologised for her rudeness. It probably wasn't even necessary to do, he usually didn't mind and heck the two even kissed earlier. It was just the fact that Aoi was so vulnerable had thrown her back into that same embarrassed state that she used to slip into. A sharp wind blew through the area, blasting cold air into the campsite. Becca shivered a bit, remembering that she still wasn't wearing her coat. Perhaps it was going to snow once again, the freezing temps sure pointed in that direction. Even the blue sky that was ever so beautiful was beginning to fill gradually with clouds.

Oh no...we don't need any more snow...', she mumbled, accidentally rhyming in the process.

She wondered where Aoi was going to sleep tonight, for sure it wasn't going to be in the snow. She couldn't recall exactly if he said his apartment was here or in Japan.

Got somewhere to stay?

Seeing Becca's expression brought Aoi back into reality, back from memories long past. Looking up, he saw that clouds began to reoccupy the sky, no doubt it would snow again. A cold breeze swept through the camp, almost causing the fire to go out. Turning around, Aoi saw that Becca was shivering. Of course, how could he have forgotten! She gave it to him after she dug him out from the snow, earlier. Forgetting about it's existence until now, Aoi had left it on a protruding branch from a nearby tree. Taking it off, he wordlessly wrapped the coat around Becca.

Suddenly, Aoi's scar started to throb. Why would it do such a thing at such a time? It had been years since it had pained him. Regarding it as a possible side effect of the temperature, Aoi shook it off. Barely catching Becca's question, Aoi responded:

"Yeah, I've got a place. Anyways, we should get going. Don't need anymore snow for today."

Picking up his equipment, Aoi turned and waited for Becca.

With a brief sigh, Becca agreed with Aoi's comment. A wave of relief swept over her once again though, but it was quickly overshadowed by the thought of filing mountains of paperwork on her birthday. Hopefully one of her friends would sneak in to keep her company through the depressing experience. It often happened, but the girl only wanted to ramble on about the pointless matters of teenage love with Becca, something she wasn't too well associated with. It was true, Becca had never fallen in love before and had planned to keep it that way with this new lifestyle of hers. However, the current thoughts floating through her mind had little to no association with the situation at hand, causing her to feel she wasted some time already. Still she was probably unconsciously stalling so that she could spend more time here at camp with Aoi.

It appeared that even more clouds had begun to form in the sky, assuring Becca of the weather to follow. Sadly, she had not expected this turn of events seeing as he had forgotten to check the weather forecast for today. Aoi had returned Becca's coat and placed it around her, causing her to warm up considerably. With a quick than you, she properly stuck her arm through the coat's sleeves pulled up the zipper. Now she was truly ready to take on the frigid conditions to come.

Glancing over at her cohort, she could see that something was bothering him, but she couldn't place what exactly it was. She hoped it wasn't anything emotional, especially after hearing his story. Still, she wanted to know what was ailing him, but was quickly interrupted by the beginning of a light snow fall. Unconsciously, she held out her hand to capture one of the falling flakes, which melted slowly in the warmth of her palm. Turning to Aoi with a cheery smile, she pointed up toward the sky. And to think that this was the same person who had jut dreaded the upcoming snowfall.

Look! Flurries!”, she exclaimed.

Her tone was similar of that to a child, possessing a ring of innocence. She bounced over to Aoi, seeing that he was ready to leave already.

Gingerly tracing the outline of his scar, Aoi observed the beginnings of a slow snowfall. Stretching out his hand, he let a snowflake gently sway down and come to a rest on his palm. Seeing it slowly melt, Aoi looked up and saw Becca exclaim. For a split second, Aoi could see the innocence of childhood etched upon her face. Such innocence could never leave, never.

By the time that Becca reached him, Aoi was slightly grinning. How could he feel down near such a person? It was next to impossible. Slinging his arm over her shoulder, he asked:

"Why the sudden change? I thought you were dreading the incoming snow?"

The usual, light-hearted aura was back. The aura of sadness no longer lingered on the duo. As they walked through the woods, Aoi thought:

What would I do without her?

More warmth swept over Becca once Aoi had placed and arm around her shoulder. It seems her cheery mood had in return lightened up Aoi's Hopefully things would stay this way, he didn't want the last expression she would see on his face here be a ad one. Come to think of it, she hadn't really seen him so happy all day. Perhaps Becca had done something useful today after all. As the two cheerily treaded through the forest, the snow flurries soon evolved into much larger flakes, causing Becca to once again squeal in delight. Aoi's question was a good one and she had even question it herself for a brief moment.

I know, I know, but I just can't bring myself to hate this snow!she replied with a giggle.

He would have to maintain this joy for as long as she could. Fro some reason she felt that it would be shattered in the blink of an eye by some unseen circumstances. It was strange, but Becca was never usually wrong about these sorts of feelings. Hopefully it would just be another one of those times where she over thought about things, which was beginning to be all the time. Gazing up at Aoi, she only flashed him the same smile, hiding her minor qualms.

Hmm, it's really quiet out here...”, she murmured.

The scenery was still stunning here in the woods even with the change of weather. In fact, the snow only enhanced the beauty of the place, leaving Becca feeling as if she were in some sort of fairy tail wilderness world or something like that. Bouncing a bit ahead of Aoi, Becca knelt down to scoop up some fresh snow from the ground. The snow was piling up pretty quick due to the frigid temperature, leaving that new snow crunch under their feet.

Becca's liveliness was almost contagious. Almost. There was no way Aoi would throw down his gear and run in the snow considering how long it took to find that shield. Shaking his head, he called out to Becca who was a little ahead of him:

"Don't get too far ahead. You don't want to get lost now, do you? Remember what happened last time?"

Heard the crunch of snow underfoot, Aoi directed his gaze down for a moment. It was a nice change from branches, which could get lodged in your boot and decide to come out much later. Looking back up, he thought he heard Becca mumble something about the silence. And it was, but it was the good type of silence. The one that makes you stare in awe and wonder. As he looked around, he was hardly surprised to see that the woods looked simply stunning. One could wander and gaze for hours and still not have enough. It was at times like this in which Aoi was proud to call this place his home.

Continuing in silence, Aoi gazed around him. The trees were starting to thin, and the path ahead was visible. Realizing that they were nearing the end of their get-together, Aoi announced:

"We should be out in a few minutes."

Becca gave Aoi's comment about running off a raspberry. Still, he did make a good point, there could be anything luring ahead of them. She was never off alert though, simply waiting for anything to execute an attack or whatnot. She walked on over back to Aoi and begun walking beside him once again to ease the possible worry of her getting lost. Even though the scenery was nice, this was the last place Becca wanted to be lost in, especially since it would turn evening in a few hours. Instead of imagining such a terrible situation, Becca had begun to gaze at her surroundings once again. She wanted to absorb all she could seeing as to how the exit was just a bit ahead.

Once the two finally reached the exit, the view of Saint Darwin's Park was once again in sight. The same people from earlier were still buzzing around as well, possibly looking for more people to prey on and judge. Becca lowered her guard upon reaching civilisation and scowled at the ignorant masses that gazed curiously their way. It seems the show from earlier wasn't forgotten at all, perhaps it was them the crowds were looking for. Either way, it didn't really matter due to the fact that neither Becca or Aoi would probably be back here any time soon. Looks like the masses would have to find a new source of entertainment.

She really didn't want this meeting to end, in fact, she was willing to stall it out for as long as she had to. Announcing that she'd be right back, Becca rushed away for a brief moment. She returned a short while later with two more cups of hot chocolate and held one out to Aoi. However, it looked like his hands were occupied with his equipment. She sighed over the fact that she missed this development and sipped her own hit chocolate.

Say....will you come visit me when I get back to Japan?”, she asked, her voice somewhat trailing off toward the end.
