Random Suzaku Kururugi Fact of the Month

Suzaku Kururugi was actually the missing link needed to create the Atomic Bomb. Scientists were baffled on how to fabricate the weapon until Suzaku showed them a Spinzaku in real time. Everything soon became clear to them.

Character of the Month
Wendy Alexis Stalingrad
Wendy Alexis Stalingrad
Wendy Alexis Stalingrad was born to parents of particularly low status in the Holy Britannian Empire. Her mother was a simple chambermaid to the Royal Family and her father was a low ranking soldier in the military. Her father was killed early on when the Black Knights first appeared and her mother was killed soon after when during the Battle of Narita. Sent to live with her grandfather, she spent the better part of her years with him, learning how to be a proud soldier of Britannia. When he too was killed in the line of fire and when the Black Knights finally emerged triumphant, she was left with nothing. As such, she didn't hesitate to join the Britannian Restoration League upon hearing of their creation to get a shot at payback. All she could think of was destroying Zero and 'restoring' her homeland. Now a full fledged member of the BRL, Wendy's specialty is infiltration and espionage and she is often assigned to go undercover in Japan for various reasons. Has a long standing rivalry with Reid Legato, Becca Buchanan, and just about anyone else that gets on her nerves. She is probably well known for her white hot temper and 'shoot first, ask later' disposition.

Aoi brushed a lock of hair away from Becca's face and stroked her cheek:

"We could keep this going, but I don't think either of us will admit defeat. I would love to have a victory under my belt, but let's just call it a draw. Anyways your lips were freezing. Don't think that I'm the only one at fault!"

Taking a sip of the hot chocolate, Aoi was a little dissapointed to see that it was getting cold. Trying to not let that unfortunate circumstance dissapoint him, Aoi took another sip and joked:

"Too bad we put on this show. Now the guy won't give us free marshmallows. Well, there goes my day."

Giving himself a few moments to fall into his thoughts, Aoi remembered about his trip to Japan and how he had yet to pack his camp supplies. Deciding that he might as well do it now, Aoi asked:

"I'm headed to camp, gotta pack for the trip. Want to tag along?"

Becca giggled, feeling satisfied with the draw that was just declared. Upon Aoi's statement about her lips, she felt them for herself to see if he was telling the truth. They were indeed ice cold, much to her dismay, even after drinking the cocoa. However the coca was getting quite cold as well, so that could provide her with a valid explanation. What good was cold cocoa anyway? Asking this question, she then took the time to throw the cold beverage away. Well, it was pretty much gone, so nothing was really wasted. Glancing back over toward the crowds, it seems that the Becca and Aoi show wasn't quite over to them, as they were still being stared at by the masses. This made Becca feel happy that she wouldn't have to be surrounded by such judgmental and nosy individuals, or at least these individuals. There are always nosy people around wherever you go.

Becca pouted a bit over Aoi's joke about the free marshmallows and had to refrain from delivering another blow to his skull. Even if she returned to the cocoa stand, Becca was sure the man would still give her the marshmallows, he seemed that kind. Plus his stand was a good distance away, so there was no way he could've take note of their actions.

"How about you go on over and ask for some marshmallows. I bet you'd get 'em if you ask real nicely~", she chimed.

Switching her gaze down to her phone, she realized that she had been in the park much longer than she had anticipated. This seemed familiar, kind of like the day she and Aoi had met here in the park. Shaking away quite a few unwanted memories of that day, she turned back to her friend. She had nearly forgotten that he needed to gather his things from the woods until he once again mentioned it. Perhaps she was holding him up?

"Sure, I don't have to get started on my paperwork right away, so I still have some free time.", replied Becca to Aoi's offer.

She knew the way full and well, so she started first down the path, knowing Aoi would catch up.

Aoi chuckled at Becca's reply. He ceased laughing and groaned when he saw that the crowd had yet to disperse. Didn't they have anything better to do than breathe down the necks of others? Shaking his head, Aoi returned his attention to Becca awaiting a reply, after hearing Becca's approval Aoi looked down the path that thgey had walked down not too long ago. Aoi laughed as he remembered when his pants fell to the ground. Aoi wasn't greatly surprised when Becca bounded foward to the exit.

"Let's just hope that we don't find another creature there. I'm not wasting another night hunting."

He threw away his cup as he passed a trash can. Reminiscing about the first time that they ventured to his camp, Aoi was a little surprised to see that they were already heading into the woods. Aoi grabbed Becca's hand and ran down the path

"You wont know the path in the woods for a long time."

Becca agreed with Aoi's statement about hunting, today was just not the day. Still, she doubted that they wouldn't run into some sort of distraction since they always flocked toward the two when they were together for some reason. However, these distractions were part of what made things interesting, never failing to make Becca giggle or at some times wince. Once they entered the woods, Becca took note of Aoi grabbing her hand. She honestly didn't know what to think about this, but at least she wasn't feeling flustered. It made her feel at ease, her hand slightly squeezing his shortly after contact.

The woods seemed like a totally different place in the daytime, highly contrasting from the eerie atmosphere at night. Becca didn't feel a bit terrified as she was the first time she entered these woods, but it was even better now that she could see exactly where she was going. The sunlight had burst through the treetop, letting in little beams of light, had enhanced the scenery even more, making Becca swoon over it's beauty. She doubted any animals would attack them in broad daylight and even if it did happen, either one of them could handle things just fine.

"Now I can see why you like it here so much, literally."

Familiar snapping sounds filled the area as the two continued through some brush. Becca could now see that they were of course branches and twigs that had fallen off the trees at some point. It made her cringe at the thought of if someone would decide to walk through here barefoot one day. She could also spy animal tracks left in some nearby mud, a much smaller pawprint than than the one from that creature the last time they were here.

"This really does seem like a different dimension...someplace other than Modnar City....", she mumbled.

The forest looked much different than it had a while ago. During the night, it was the lair of a living, breathing nightmare. But in the snow and morning it was a daydream. Everything seemed at peace, nothing was out of place. It was days like these that Aoi would wander around and observe his surroundings. But he couldn't do so today. Aoi was starting to regret making a vow to visit his parents every Winter, but what could he do?

The snapping of twigs underfoot sang in the air. Before at night, it had an eerie edge to it. But today it had a more merrier, happier tone. Looking up, Aoi saw that the sun decided to shower some rays down from the branches of the trees. Curiously, the rays seemed to illuminate the path to Aoi's camp. Shrugging it off, Aoi continued to lead Becca by hand to camp.

"And here we are", Aoi announced as they took the final turn.

The campsite wasn't much different than it was before. Kneeling next to a pile of wood, Aoi soon had a bright fire going. The crackling of the flames sent shivers down Aoi's spine. Pointing towards the hammock, Aoi said:

"You can lay down on the hammock, I'm just packing some things. Mainly the weapons and the armor."

Normally, it'd take Aoi at least five minutes to pack up all his supplies. But for some reason, Aoi couldn't find his shield.

"Where is it? Where? I know I left it by THAT tree but... Of course it'd be under the snow..."

Kneeling down next to a tree, Aoi started digging for his shield. While digging, Aoi asked Becca:

"Will you be staying in Japan, or will you come back to Britannia?"

OoC: Not even gonna lie, i totally forgot it was winter in that last post...>.>

Taking up Aoi's offer, Becca took a seat on the hammock, causing it to sway to and fro for a moment before it finally settled down. It was just as comfortable as it was the last time she had rested on it, practically inviting her to stretch out on it. She gazed up at the blue sky above, it's cheery appearance once again misleading her of the seasons. She was once again reminded that it was winter when a brief gust swept through the area, sending a chill down her spine. Glancing over at Aoi, he seemed to have lost something from his equipment and was now rambling on about it. Before she could suggest something however, he was already digging through the snow in search of it. It seems like all they've been doing today was playing in snow.

Becca had begun to swing back and forth on the hammock, having probably too much fun. That was when she was asked if she would stay in Japan or come back to Britannia. To be honest, the thought of coming back to Britannia hadn't even crossed her mind until this moment. Everything she had gotten so accustomed too was i Japan, including her school and all of her friends. Even her family was there, which was another reason she couldn't see herself leaving them again. However, she had been separated from them many a months and had still been doing just fine.

"I dunno...but for the time being I have no choice but to stay there. Plus I'll be attending classes at Ashford when I get back and taking on duties as the Student Council President again. Man it seems like ages since I've strolled through the Tokyo Settlement..."

Life once again in Japan....the thought of it just felt nostalgic at this point, like she had been away for many ears. That's how her training had made it feel though, often exhausting her almost to the point of collapse sometimes. Fixing her gaze on the individual digging in the snow once again, she wondered if he would stay in Japan.

"And what about you, are you coming back here to Britannia?", she inquired.

After minutes of searching Aoi let out a triumphant cry:

"Finally found it! Took long enough..."

Not knowing whether to sling it on his back or pack it in his bag, Aoi threw it next to the fire. He wasn't worried, from his experience it wouldn't catch fire unless he threw it directly onto the fire. Walking next to the hammock, Aoi threw himself on the ground before replying to Becca:

"It doesn't really matter for me, I don't have any obligations. If I want to stay in Japan, I stay. If I want to come back to Britannia, I come back."

After saying this, Aoi was deeply troubled and fell into his thoughts. Why was he even there? He really had no reason to be there. Nothing held him down there, nothing told him where to go, nothing told him what to do. Nothing. Was he destined to be nothing? Before, his only objective was to destroy the BRL. But not having seen any activity had left him "jobless". No, there had to be at least one thing that he could live for. One reason that wouldn't let him diminish into nothingness. Forgetting Becca's presence, Aoi muttered:

"Why am I?"

Becca clasped her hands in joy that Aoi had finally found his shield, it was driving him insane looking for it for a second. She then watched as he tossed it by the fire, which was crackling rather weakly at this point. Though the smoke was rather visible, it seemed it would die out rather soon. For fun, she tossed a few twigs into the blaze, causing it to roar up once more.

"So then do you often roam without a purpose?", she asked after a moment.

Aoi's conscience had seemed to drift away to another land completely. Even with Becca snapping her fingers dead in his face and her arm flailing he was still completely spaced out. Perhaps this was how he felt when she would go on in one of her worrywart episodes, the one from earlier for example. But, what could Aoi have to worry about like that? Then again, she hardly knew much about Aoi or his life, so there could've been something that had happened to him in the time she hadn't met him still tugging at him. She didn't like Aoi to be so lost, he was supposed to be the voice of reason around here.

"Oi! Snap outta it!", she shouted.

He seemed to mutter something under his breath, but Becca doubted it was anything pertaining to her. What exactly would snap him out of his trance? Becca had the perfect prank in mind. Hopping from the hammock, she knelt down to scoop up some snow. She then dumped said snow down the back of Aoi's shirt hoping it would wake him up.

"That'll teach ya not to space out on me...", she mumbled during the act.

Completely lost in his thoughts, Aoi failed to notice anything and everything around him. Was he asking himself the reason of existence? The reason of his existence? Why? There were so many why's and not enough answers. No, not enough answers. There were no answers.

Aoi's thoughts slowly drifted from one memory to another, sometimes repeating those significant to him. Eventually, he thought of nothing. Nothing at all. Just darkness. Aoi wasn't sure if his eyes had closed or not, but his vision turned to black. Never ending, all encompassing black. He was jolted back into reality when Becca dumped snow into the back of his shirt.

"Aiaiaiai! What was that?!? Why?!?"

Jumping up, Aoi tried to get all the snow out of his shirt all the while wondering why she would do such a thing. After a few minutes of looking like a fool, he finally got all the snow from his shirt he snarled:

"What?"

Not even a moment after saying it, Aoi's face softened. He really had no reason to be mad, maybe irritated, but not mad. Walking around camp and gathering his things he said:

"Well.. I got everything. We can stay longer if you want or we can get moving to somewhere else. Now that I think about it. I never really told you much about myself. If you want, you can ask."

He didn't know what made him say it, but he knew one thing for certain. He couldn't go back... Not to that, the never ending field of black. No, he couldn't. The aura's of death and dread were more than palpable, almost becoming living entities. Shaking his head, he waited for Becca's response.

Aoi was clearly upset with Becca's little prank, but she could care less about such trivial things. He seemed to let it go not much later, meaning he too saw no reason to remain mad at her. Still, she couldn't help but wonder just what was on his mind that made him drift so far away from reality. However, trying to figure out Aoi Hayashi's true feelings at this point would be the equivalent of trying to solve a five hundred piece jigsaw puzzle, and Becca never had the patience for puzzles as a child. But perhaps Aoi would be different, no he was different in this case. She found herself wanting to know more and more about him the more she spent time with him. Just what was behind that scar, just what was behind that fearless personality?

Upon hearing Aoi's suggestion, Becca realized she didn't want to leave the campsite just yet. They had just arrived, the day was beautiful and the scenery was so relaxing. Plus there was just no way she would let the chance of hearing about Aoi's life pass her up, even if the weather was growing a tad more frigid with each half hour. Becca gazed up toward the sky once again, it's deep blue color reminding her of friend's mood just a few moments ago.

"Is it alright if we stay behind for a little bit, I wanna soak all of this in for as long as I can, and I don't even know the next time I'll be able to enjoy such scenery...", she replied shortly with a slight sigh toward the end.

Taking a seat back on the hammock, she then stretched out just like she had earlier. With a slight push against a tree, she began to rock back in forth, the swaying feeling instantly sending a feeling of sheer relaxation through her veins. Perhaps Aoi should take a rest on this hammock, maybe it would ease his mind. However, she figured he would be modest about it and prevent Becca from giving up her spot.

"Aoi....is it alright if you start from the beginning? I don't have anywhere to be, so I'll listen to anything you have to say. Trust me, it's really not good to keep things bottled inside like that, I've done it far too much and suffered dearly from it."
