Random Suzaku Kururugi Fact of the Month

Suzaku Kururugi was actually the missing link needed to create the Atomic Bomb. Scientists were baffled on how to fabricate the weapon until Suzaku showed them a Spinzaku in real time. Everything soon became clear to them.

Character of the Month
Wendy Alexis Stalingrad
Wendy Alexis Stalingrad
Wendy Alexis Stalingrad was born to parents of particularly low status in the Holy Britannian Empire. Her mother was a simple chambermaid to the Royal Family and her father was a low ranking soldier in the military. Her father was killed early on when the Black Knights first appeared and her mother was killed soon after when during the Battle of Narita. Sent to live with her grandfather, she spent the better part of her years with him, learning how to be a proud soldier of Britannia. When he too was killed in the line of fire and when the Black Knights finally emerged triumphant, she was left with nothing. As such, she didn't hesitate to join the Britannian Restoration League upon hearing of their creation to get a shot at payback. All she could think of was destroying Zero and 'restoring' her homeland. Now a full fledged member of the BRL, Wendy's specialty is infiltration and espionage and she is often assigned to go undercover in Japan for various reasons. Has a long standing rivalry with Reid Legato, Becca Buchanan, and just about anyone else that gets on her nerves. She is probably well known for her white hot temper and 'shoot first, ask later' disposition.

Becca shrugged at Aoi's reply briefly before taking another gulp of fruit milk. Now she was regretting not putting that bill into the machine, for it wouldn't be much longer before she would run out. Perhaps Aoi was right though about her thinking too deeply. She couldn't quite help it today though since the alcohol had made her so grouchy to others. Funny, it had numbed her mind completely not too long ago, and now she was just over thinking things. Again plunging into her thoughts, she realized that Aoi was also right about the whole venting thing. She always laid out all of her problem on the table and he often gave her some sort of inspiring words in the end that would cheer her up and make her almost drop the problem completely from her mind.

"How old are you exactly....you don't look very old, but you speak like a wise man or something. Not to mention all those inspirational speeches you always give me after venting my problems."

Maybe her question was a tad rude, but sadly she didn't quite care at the moment. This was conversation, and she was trying to make it last, that and the rest of Aoi's soda apparently. A couple of kids passed by her, the usual faces she saw around the park when she often made trips here. She never recalled seeing any of their parents before, or even if they had parents to begin with. Either way, they still played in the park every day with the brightest smile that Becca had ever seen. Such youthful innocence was what brightened Becca's day, what reminded her of what she would be fighting for in the near future.

"Youth.....", she mumbled to herself.

Mumbling the word, she soon realized that she in returned sounded like the old person as opposed to her friend.

Aoi stopped drinking his soda and stared at Becca. Not knowing what she was thinking at the moment, he replied:

"Twenty-three. Although I can't be completely sure. I stopped caring about my age a while ago. And I'm guessing you're in your middle to late teens. Am I right?"

He listened to Becca go on for a few more moments and laughed:

"Really? I sound old? I'm just really concious about how others feel. If someone needs some aid, I'm just compelled to do something. It's a good thing and a bad thing. Don't know when it's going to bite me, though."

Aoi observed the kids that were running around the park. He thought back to his own childhood and wondered what it could have been. Childhood is such a sacred thing. To think that anyone could have their's defiled is terrible. Letting out a deep breath, he looked back up at the sky. It was quite a clear day, perfect for... well... anything. He heard Becca mutter something, and looked towards her.

"So. Can you tell me something about your parents? Anything, really. Doesn't have to be a touchy subject, or anything."

Becca wasn't at all surprised by how old Aoi really was, he did still appear young after all. Still, she could imagine that he'd been through a lot of things in his life already. That was the story for a lot of the youth these days, driven by rage or revenge. Becca wondered if she herself would become that way if tragedy struck her, it most certainly didn't seem impossible though.

"Yeah, today's the big one-seven. Hmm, strange, don't girls usually refuse to reveal their age to guys? Meh, I think that might only be for old people though...", she replied briefly scratching her head.

When she was about to blurt something else out about old people, her cell phone had begun to chime quite obnoxiously. One of these days she would have to remember again to change her ringtone. But the bigger question was, who was calling in the first place? Surely it couldn't be someone else wishing her a happy birthday, or maybe it was another person congratulating her on her promotion. With a single glance to her cell phone screen, her theory was shattered, seeing that it was just a call from one of her superiors, surely complaining about how long she had stayed away from the academy. He seemed pretty clear that he wanted her back there as soon

"Hold on Aoi...I gotta take this.", she stated.

Becca answered the call in her military tone, saying 'sir' after just about every sentence. The conversation didn't last very long, but it left Becca feeling somewhat exhausted afterward. It turns out that she's wanted back at the academy to discuss her promotion and fill out a truckload of paperwork. Looks like her remaining time with Aoi would be very brief at best. However, she felt relieved that she wouldn't have to say goodbye to Reid.

That was my commander, he said that I have to get back to the academy...

Aoi chuckled at Becca's comment. Most likely because of how true it probably was. Patiently standing next to Becca, Aoi started fiddling with one of his straps on his gauntlet. For some odd reason, that simple task was probably the most entertaining thing he'd done all day. Finding a bench to sit on, Aoi constantly strapped and unstrapped his gauntlet, trying to find the most efficient way to strap it and keep it on.

When Becca finished her conversation, Aoi looked up. Grinning like a child, Aoi strapped his gauntlet in his customary fashion and stood up. Listening to what she had to say, Aoi stretched:

"Well. Guess you better get back as soon as you can. Don't want that promotion going to waste, do you?"

Aoi was a little saddened that Becca had to go. She was always good company. But, he knew somehow they'd meet up again. For some odd reason, they always ended up doing so.

It seems that Aoi had found some way to entertain himself during that long phone call. Becca would regret having to part ways with him after spending all this time with him. Well, he had at least lightened her up some, which was especially needed after all she had been through today. Indeed, today's events were one for the record book, hopefully being the one page that gets lost. It' a good thing her commander had no idea what went on, or Becca's promotion would've surely gone into the toilet. If it did though, at least she wouldn't have to do any paperwork for it.

Returning her thoughts back to the situation at had, he turned to Aoi, who had the silliest grin plastered across his face. It nearly made her want to smile, but she held it back as best as she could. Becca wondered if he was also saddened by the sudden change of plans, their walk having been interrupted from her commander's orders. It's a shame, he was actually looking forward to it to the lazy stroll. Seeing Aoi stretch in return caused Becca to stretched, it was the same contagious feeling she got seeing someone yawn.

But the paperwork I truly something i'm not going to look forward to with this promotion, not in the slightest. I'd rather spend my time at target practice than sitting in a stuffy room scribbling on documents that probably don't have any importance.”, she replied with an exasperated sigh.

Turning once again to Aoi, a saddened expression appeared on her face. It was time to say goodbye.

Geez...it feels like i'm going away to the battlefield or something....”, she mumbled, feeling embarrassed by her sadness.

Amused that Becca found stretching contagious, Aoi wondered what would happen if he yawned. Scratching his arm, Aoi didn't really know how to reply to Becca. He never was in a position of power or promotion, except for maybe in school. Raising an eyebrow when Becca remarked about the situation being similar to going to battle, Aoi said:

"Unless you've been to one, you can't say. But I'd guess it'd be much worse. The chances of the paperwork killing you is much less than the chances of a bullet doing the same."

Looking at Becca's expression of embarrassment, Aoi jokingly exclaimed:

"Really! I thought you stopped getting embarrassed like this! Come on. What is it this time?"

Aoi was grinning as he looked into Becca's face. Yes they didn't get to have their walk and yes it was a little sad that they had to part ways. Fortunately for the both of them they weren't a battlefield and the chances of meeting up again were quite high.

"Come on. You don't want to be late, do you?"

With that, Aoi turned and started off towards the exit of the park. At least they'd have a some form of a stroll in the park before they parted ways.

A slight smile etched onto Becca's face upon hearing Aoi's reply about her last comment. He was right, surely the two would meet up here in the park again, for it seemed that this was the place where they always stumbled upon one another. Maybe it was some sort of strange fate that drew the two together.

Aww gimme a break, I'm a little “off” today as you can see.”, she replied after hearing the crack about her embarrassment.

Becca sighed before following behind Aoi toward Saint Darwin's exit. She could feel her pace somewhat growing gradually slower with the more distance they closed to the gates. It was strange, how could this day have turned out this way? Becca had simply planned a brief lunch at Skytemple, a short stroll around town, and then returning to the Academy to finish up a few training exercises. Sure she would've been alone the whole time, but she wouldn't be wandering through Saint Darwin's Park with a hangover the size of an elephant. Today she just wanted to stay within her own thoughts since she couldn't back at the academy. Every five seconds someone would knock at her door congratulating her or saying “Happy Birthday!”. And it wasn't like she was thankful for everyone's support, but they were driving her crazy at this point. She felt that she could easily mask herself in the huge crowds of Modnar City and switch her phone off to get some peace.

However, if today's events hadn't transpired, then Becca wouldn't have discovered the truth about her promotion. She would've also missed the chance of strolling around with Aoi. So a few good things did come out of this mess of a birthday and Becca decided to accept them, classifying them as a 'learning experience'.

As the two finally reached the exit, Becca stopped and turned once again to Aoi.

Well, goodbye...and don't forget about that bum sleeping on the park bench back there. I'm sure he'll have a handful of questions to ask when he wakes up.

Well, that was it. They were at the exit. To Aoi, they'd only been at the park for a few minutes but looking in retrospect they'd been there for a while. Quietly listening to Becca's farewell, Aoi bowed in return:

"If I see him again. He probably woke up and walked away like nothing happened. And goodbye. Always a pleasure to spend some time with you. I don't know why, but I think we will see each other again, soon enough."

Turning, Aoi walked home. It had been an interesting day and not altogether uneventful. Hopefully - as Aoi predicted- they would see each other again.
