Random Suzaku Kururugi Fact of the Month

Suzaku Kururugi was actually the missing link needed to create the Atomic Bomb. Scientists were baffled on how to fabricate the weapon until Suzaku showed them a Spinzaku in real time. Everything soon became clear to them.

Character of the Month
Wendy Alexis Stalingrad
Wendy Alexis Stalingrad
Wendy Alexis Stalingrad was born to parents of particularly low status in the Holy Britannian Empire. Her mother was a simple chambermaid to the Royal Family and her father was a low ranking soldier in the military. Her father was killed early on when the Black Knights first appeared and her mother was killed soon after when during the Battle of Narita. Sent to live with her grandfather, she spent the better part of her years with him, learning how to be a proud soldier of Britannia. When he too was killed in the line of fire and when the Black Knights finally emerged triumphant, she was left with nothing. As such, she didn't hesitate to join the Britannian Restoration League upon hearing of their creation to get a shot at payback. All she could think of was destroying Zero and 'restoring' her homeland. Now a full fledged member of the BRL, Wendy's specialty is infiltration and espionage and she is often assigned to go undercover in Japan for various reasons. Has a long standing rivalry with Reid Legato, Becca Buchanan, and just about anyone else that gets on her nerves. She is probably well known for her white hot temper and 'shoot first, ask later' disposition.

Hearing another cry rent the air, Aoi perked up his ears. Hearing Becca's invitation, Aoi replied:

"You'd be crazy to think about heading out there on your own."

Standing up and stretching, Aoi started to put on his gear:

"Bow and quiver, check. Sword, knife, it's all here. I should probably get another pistol, but it's too late to complain now..."

Waiting for another cry, Aoi asked:

"How is this going to work? We're just going to run off into the forest without knowing if we're going to be able to find each other? I know I won't be bad off, but I don't know how you'd fare."

He didn't want to sound too concerned, but he was worried. He didn't know how she would do in the thicket. The worst part was that she was quite young compared to Aoi, he would have guessed about 5 years or so. Thinking about that, he didn't want her to come along, at all. But it wasn't his decision.

"I don't think you should go out. But if you truly want to, then I can't stop you on one condition: We stick together. My only advice would be-"

He was cut off mid-sentence, hearing yet another scream. Fitting an arrow into his bow, Aoi said:

"Let the hunting begin."

With that he walked slowly to the direction of the scream.

Becca treaded cautiously behind Aoi, assuming the same defensive step she had earlier. Aoi needn't worry about Becca's gunning skills, she was at the top of every class she had, including armed training and hand to hand combat. She didn't doubt her hunting buddy's skills either, seeing as how he was equipped with so many weapons. Perhaps this type of thing wasn't exactly out of the ordinary for him.

"Don't worry much about me, I'll be fine as long as I have this pistol.", assured Becca as she nodded her head toward the weapon in her grasp.

As the two moved through the dark brush, the bright campfire behind them seemed like a distant memory. Becca couldn't help but feel a bit of anxiousness moving through such advanced darkness. Still, she shuffled on ahead, scanning the surrounding area with the pistol.

"Hey, how come you don't have a flashlight on you?"

Not waiting for a reply, Becca flipped open her cellphone and began to use it as a flashlight. It had helped tremendously, but the view up ahead still wasn't as bright as it should've been. Shining the light to the green brush beside her, she still spied nothing.

After a few more moments of searching, the same snapping sound could be heard coming from behind them. Becca automatically did a 180 and flashed her cell phone toward the path behind them. A dark figure could be seen quite a distance away, but she couldn't quite make out the shape.

"Who's there?!", she yelled.

Though she wasn't expecting a reply from whatever was there, but it didn't hurt to try.

Hearing Becca's inquiry of his lack of a flashlight, Aoi shrugged:

"Just forgot. And you haven't gotten used to the dark yet? Well... I guess you have a reason."

Noticing a sudden, but dim light next to him Aoi concluded that she was using her cellphone.

"Not bad, but it's going to let it know where we are. Can't let it stop us though," Aoi thought.

Not too soon after, the cracking of branches could be heard behind them. With Becca, he turned around and drew his bow. He hesitated making the shot, every arrow counted. He didn't even know what he was going to be shooting at was human or animal. Seeing the figure retreat, Aoi ran up to where he guessed it had been standing and observed the surrounding ground.

"What ever it is, it's definitely big, I can give you that. But what it is, I'm at a complete loss. The grass is too springy, and I don't feel like groping on the ground in the dark, especially knowing that there's something here."

Observing more tracks on the ground, Aoi continued:

"If you want to assume that the thing is going in the same direction it went off, it's should be some yards away, it had a head-start. But if it's taking turns, we're going to have to wait for more light. And I already know your answer. Come on."

With that, Aoi headed off to the path right in front of them. Still closely observing the ground.

Even if the phone's light drew attention to them, it didn't much matter to Becca. She now grew tired of this treading through the darkness and by now would much appreciate it if the creature would just show it's face in front of them. Wondering if Aoi felt the same way as she did, Becca held out her cell phone again toward the brush in case the creature was hiding from them there. Not much later, she shut her phone, aggravated that it wasn't helping one bit.

After a bit more trudging, Becca stopped completely in her tracks, Lost in her determination, she had completely forgotten that she was, at first, very terrified. A feeling of embarrassment crept upon her, but it was so dark that she'd doubt Aoi would even notice that her face had once again shifted into a deep shade of red. Perhaps the darkness wasn't so against her as she first had thought.

"W-We can turn back if you want to...it must very tiring to go on such a goose chase.", she blurted.

Becca's attitude had done a sudden flip because she didn't quite understand the one she previously had. Never before had she experienced the urge for possible combat. Perhaps it was all the Military cramming she had been doing lately. Or maybe there was something in the food at the academy? Shaking off any jokes about the academy's lunches for the moment, Becca had hoped she didn't worry Aoi with her sudden flip.

"Yeah, never mind-----"

Her sentence was cut off by that oh so familiar cry, which sounded even more earsplitting due to the closeness in range.

"It's near....", she mumbled.

Tightening the grip on her pistol, she slowly turned to her left, which was where the sound was drifting from.

Seeing the dim light of the cellphone go off, Aoi turned his head towards Becca. He could see her faint outline in the dark, and hoped she was following. Still following the tracks, Aoi kept low to the ground and constantly observed his surroundings. Not a second later did he hear another screech. This time, it seemed as if it was right next to him, whatever it was. Realizing that Becca hadn't said anything, Aoi turned:

"Hey Becca, is everythi-"

His sentence died in his throat, he had turned around to find nothing but darkness. Frantically looking left and right, Aoi tried to locate Becca. When that failed he started to yell her name:

"Becca? Becca! Come on, where are you? If you can hear me, yell back!"

Aoi's composure had fallen to bits. He wasn't concerned about the fact that he was out, by himself, with a creature that could possibly kill him. No, that didn't disturb him one bit. But what did disturb him was the fact that the fate of his friend would rest in his hands. Aoi started to Run back in the direction that he assumed was where he last saw her.

"Gah! Stupid cape, getting caught in a bush at a time like this! Nothing but slowing me down at this point!"

And with much commotion, he cast off his cloak and continued onward, all the while on the look out for Becca, or any sign of her.

Becca could've sworn she had heard her name being called, and it was most likely Aoi who was doing the shouting. She hadn't even noticed that she had separated from him after all this time. Backtracking to the path she was on before, her friend was nowhere in sight. This sparked up some worry, but she quickly pushed that aside, thinking that since the creature was ahead of her and not in Aoi's direction.

He must've thought I was still walking with him...he couldn't have gotten too far away....right? I'll just have to walk on straight ahead then! Wait...which direction did that voice come from? Uh oh....

Her thoughts were shattered by another roar, which caused her to jump up in the same fashion that she had upon first treading through the forest. Becca's patience was beginning to grow thinner and thinner with this development. It got to the point where she aimed her gun straight toward the direction in which the voice was coming from and was prepared to shoot. She regained her self-control upon thinking what if Aoi was in her line of fire somewhere.

Just as she lowered her pistol, she heard Aoi's voice once again. Though she couldn't quite make out what he was saying, his tone was that of the aggravated variety.

"A-Aoi?! Aoi, where are you?!"", she shouted.

Her calls did nothing but momentarily break the silence and she had received no automatic reply. Worried, Becca sprinted toward Aoi's yells.

"Aoi if your around here----"

She paused once she felt some sort of cloth hit her in the arm. It caught her attention since it was much softer than the usual scratching sensation the brush left on her arms as she moved on ahead. Curious, she flipped open her cell phone to investigate. That was when she discovered that it was no ordinary peace of cloth, but Aoi's cloak. Shrieking, Becca now feared that something had happened to her friend. But it wasn't long before that fear switched to anger. Holding up her pistol, she charged forward like a cheetah, determined to find Aoi.

It had felt like days since Becca and Aoi had entered the forest and decided to go after what ever it was. And yet, only a few hours had passed by. But none of that mattered now. Not in the situation he was in. After running around aimlessly for five minutes, when Aoi heard the roaring of some animal. Finally, he could conclude it was an animal and not someone impersonating some myth. Not too soon after, Aoi heard what he thought were Becca yelling for him which immediately soothed him. But instead of immediately running off into the direction he thought her voice was coming from, he jogged instead, and took the opportunity to organize his thoughts. What could he do to find Becca and kill the animal that was after them? For the first time, Aoi couldn't come up with anything, always coming to the conclusion that he'd end up killing himself along with Becca.

"Ahhh! Nothing makes sense! Nothing will work!", Aoi thought to himself.

Not a second later, he heard a high-pitched shriek which he immediately attributed to Becca. That was it. He'd had enough. But he stopped right in his tracks when he heard growling coming from besides him. His body overcome with the feelings of desperation and anger, he answered back:

"No, not now. I find Becca first, then I deal with you."

And with that, Aoi sprinted off in the direction in which he had last heard Becca.

Removing the cape from the branch ahead, Becca's hands trembled helplessly. She had already drawn the conclusion that Aoi was gone and the forest silence had not helped change her theory. It probably wouldn't change anything if she had called out his name, so she held her tongue at the moment.

Shaking off her sadness, she then replaced it with feelings of hope. It wasn't like her to submit, so she wouldn't face grim thoughts without at least finding proof. It may even turn out that Aoi's still very much alive out there. With new hope she ran forward through the brush, as fast she her feet could take her.

"Aoi! Where are you?!", she called out once more.

She sped up her pace until she nearly bumped into a tree. It turns out that it wasn't a tree after all, but her missing friend who was indeed alive and well. She was so relieved that tears began to well up in her eyes.

"Y-Your okay.....", she murmured with a slight sniffle.

The happy reunion was quickly shattered once she heard the infamous roar that had been stalking the two for what seemed like forever. In a blind anger she held up her pistol once again and charged toward what she confirmed as an animal in a blind rage.

Running for what had seemed to be hours, Aoi slowed down to a halt. It had been a while since Becca had shrieked, but he needed her to say something one more time. Anything, whether yell, scream, song anything! Trying to make sure nothing unwanted was around him, Aoi gripped his sword tight, too tight as a matter of fact. He didn't realize that until his hand cramped:

"Urg. Damnit. Come on, come on, come on! Hurry up!"
, as an afterthought he added "Becca has to say something, anything. Anything!"

At that moment Aoi heard Becca call out to him, and that was all he needed. He broke out into a sprint towards her voice, wanting to make sure that she was okay. Seeing Becca silhouetted against the brush, Aoi slowed down, but not fast enough leaving him with the hope that she would be able to keep her footing. Taking no regard to the fact that they had met mere hours ago, he embraced her:

"Thank god. Thank god. Thank god" were the only two words he could say at that time. But they were interrupted by yet another roar. Releasing Becca, Aoi took out his bow and drew an arrow. Seeing Becca go towards the animal, he said:

"I call dibs!"

With that he shot past Becca's face, right above her shoulder in the direction of the animal. He knew it was a rash decision, but he knew for a fact that it was a hit. And every hit counted, didn't it?

Becca couldn't help but smirk at Aoi's comment, knowing that it was probably most likely that Aoi would end up finishing off the creature before she could ever. Still, she didn't back down and continued rushing forward once her comrade's arrow whizzed past her face. Had he been an amateur, that arrow would've been impaled her instead of the real target, so Becca knew this wasn't the first time he had used a bow.

"Nice one!", she shouted.

The animal's cries could be heard not a moment later, assuring the two that the arrow had indeed hit. Though, it wasn't a fatal blow, since the creature had now begun rushing toward the two in a frenzy. Becca dodged to the right, but Aoi was still in the animal's path of destruction. There was no way she was going to sit back and let her friend be attacked.

"Oh no you don't....!"

Aiming her pistol, she fired off a shot aimed right at the center of the beast's back, hoping this one blow would be the last thing the creature felt. It was as if Becca was watching the scene happen a distance away. Her mind went a bit u=fuzzy after hearing the rather loud 'pop' from the gun and seeing the bright flash that came with it.

She didn't even know if she had gotten the direct hit she so desired.

OoC: Short post....mah bad...
