Random Suzaku Kururugi Fact of the Month

Suzaku Kururugi was actually the missing link needed to create the Atomic Bomb. Scientists were baffled on how to fabricate the weapon until Suzaku showed them a Spinzaku in real time. Everything soon became clear to them.

Character of the Month
Wendy Alexis Stalingrad
Wendy Alexis Stalingrad
Wendy Alexis Stalingrad was born to parents of particularly low status in the Holy Britannian Empire. Her mother was a simple chambermaid to the Royal Family and her father was a low ranking soldier in the military. Her father was killed early on when the Black Knights first appeared and her mother was killed soon after when during the Battle of Narita. Sent to live with her grandfather, she spent the better part of her years with him, learning how to be a proud soldier of Britannia. When he too was killed in the line of fire and when the Black Knights finally emerged triumphant, she was left with nothing. As such, she didn't hesitate to join the Britannian Restoration League upon hearing of their creation to get a shot at payback. All she could think of was destroying Zero and 'restoring' her homeland. Now a full fledged member of the BRL, Wendy's specialty is infiltration and espionage and she is often assigned to go undercover in Japan for various reasons. Has a long standing rivalry with Reid Legato, Becca Buchanan, and just about anyone else that gets on her nerves. She is probably well known for her white hot temper and 'shoot first, ask later' disposition.

Becca Buchanan walked through Saint Darwin's Park, completely obstinate of her surroundings at this point. All this military training had sapped her energy to the bone so far, but not once has she complained. There was no time to complain, for all her hard studying and exercise had occupied even her time to gripe about her daily worries. Not that it mattered much to her at the moment, she just wanted to gain higher up in the rankings. So far she was the only cadet in any of her classes to work as hard as she was, often awarding her some well-deserved praise. However, there were those Cadets that scowled upon her, claiming that her success was based upon her father's status in the military. Becca did not toss back her usual feisty retorts, but instead ignored them completely. There was no room for conflict outside of the battlefield right now.

Shuffling over to a near by bench, she collapsed onto it's somewhat cool surface. It had been the first seat she had taken since departing from her room some short while ago. Quite frankly, her whole body ached from all the rigorous activity, and this walk didn't ease the pain one bit. Still, she just wanted to take a gander at scenery other than Kururugi Military Academy, which was a short walk if, any away, from the park.

I don't have much free time today since I have to thoroughly study Knightmare piloting tonight. Man, I'm like a shell of my former self aren't I? I swear I steer clear of people that study this hard, now I'm one of them....no, I mustn't think this way, it's all for a good cause....I'm protecting important lives....

The usual hustle and bustle of Saint Darwin's raged through the park. Kids screaming everywhere, dogs barking, picnic-goers having their conversations. With all this noise, it was hard for Becca to even relax, but she supposed that was her fault to begin with for coming here. She could've just stayed in the small, red walled room she was assigned to. She could hardly call that place 'home'. She felt somewhat lonely since she had never been away from home this long. Perhaps this was something all cadets had to cope with, or at least the ones who came from families. Most of them are just kids that had their parents snatched away from them by the war. Becca couldn't imagine the hardships they must've went through up until now, so she often steered clear of such topics when conversing with them.

"Guess I shouldn't stay to long...", she mumbled.

It was one of those days, the days that she felt that she was trapped within herself all over again. She’d been lost in thought a lot lately but turned to her job to keep her mind off of everything. Working kept her focused and distracted her from the past that she’d often left in her shadow, slipping away. Of course, history would repeat itself or if you ignored something to long, it would come back and slap you in the face and slam you to the ground with more force than before. She came here because it helped sometimes.

One foot after the other, Raveik crated a silent rhythm in her steps. If she’d been barefoot, she would have enjoyed the warmed from the concrete under the soles of her feet. ‘
I keep seeing him, and he won’t vanish… it’s just so vivid,’ she thought to herself, dazed. This haunting was the memory of her father, who had died in war, fighting for his country and his daughter above all. She’d never seen him in his death, and his body had never been found. The last memory she had of him was when he’d told her to be good.

With a quick shake of her head, the young woman brought herself back to reality. “
Focus, Rave, focus,” she repeated to herself. She had another purpose to come to the park today than just wonder about this. She was going to practice. Even if she was using this place for distractions, she still had the right to practice what her father had taught her so long ago. Most soldiers were trained with guns. She certainly knew how to use them but hand to hand combat was what she was best at. Not far from Becca, she stopped at a tree.

Raveik’s hands were wrapped in bands, obvious that she was about to start practicing something. Most would have thought that perhaps she needed some sort of anger management class. Maybe she was just mentally unstable. People never realized that she’d make her knuckles bleed for something that she cherished, someone that she looked up to, and something she found worth fighting for. Rave dropped a bag off her shoulder and looked at the large tree with narrowed blue eyes through purple bangs. With a small smile washing itself over its face, she couldn’t help but feel herself hype up, ready.

One swift move and that first fist came in contact with the tree. Maybe it was a sense of Britannian pride that’s he felt, but she certainly wasn’t going to be one to back down. Continuing, Raveik found herself practicing a variety of moves on the tree, only noticeable to those educated in what she knew. Her body would finish this bruised and bloody but she would still be strong and have accomplished something to keep that fighting fire alive in her, even if it was just every few months or so. This was what she meant to live for.

Silently sitting on the park bench, Becca was still weighed down by her feelings of exhaust. She seemed to heavily contrast the rest of the park patrons, that still went on with their enjoyment even though the hours were dwindling close to the evening. In the distance, Becca peered at the radiant sunset, which painted the sky into deep shades of red and orange. Normally she would find it very beautiful, but as of now she found it kind of hard to solely focus on it with her headache. Even though she kept telling herself that this training was worth it, she herself always had her doubts. Could her body handle it? What would happen in reality on the battlefield? Was she capable of turning herself into a military soldier? Those were the inquiries that flowed through her mind, leaving her in a deep fog of depression ever since she began training.

Her cell phone, which she had been keeping turned off lately, rung at it's now annoying tone. She had to remind herself to get a new ring tone later for if she heard this one again, she might be tempted to slam her precious cell phone against the concrete surface. Upon flipping it open, she did not find it shocking that the incoming call was her father, Rias D. Buchanan. For weeks now he had been trying to get her to come home, but note that he never once showed up at the academy and forcefully drag her back. Perhaps i was his pride, not wanting to admit that he himself wanted her to come home. Instead, he always brought her mom's name into the mix, only further annoying Becca.

"Should I even bother...."

Going against her better judgment, she answered the phone only to get an earful from her father. She hadn't spoken to him or her mother all week long, so despite his annoying griping, she felt somewhat relieved to hear a familiar voice. At this point she was assured that her love for her father had not faltered even with a dispute of this caliber. And that was her fuel for her training, knocking some sense into her BRL brainwashed dad of course.

"I'm fine Dad......", she stated while her father was still ranting.

That managed to silence him for a second, but then he quickly went back to what he was doing. Why couldn't he just say he wanted her to come home because he missed her? Becca would probably never understand the concept of men's pride, so she simply left it at that.

Rising from the park bench she had been sulking on, Becca decided to take a short trip down the path, easing the stiffness that had crept over her legs. That was when she spotted something unusual, a woman performing combat moves against a tree trunk. She had never seen those moves before, not even in her hand to hand combat classes. She found them so intriguing that she headed over toward he skilled fighter in awe, hanging up on her dad in the process.

Lying on his back, Aoi gazed up at the sky. So calm and serene, yet at any moment could stir up a storm. Thinking about his parents when they used to visit the same park years ago right after he had scarred himself over his right eye. All because of a foolish mistake in his first sword practice class. Before... Before that incident... Coming back to the present, Aoi remembered that it was a pain to clean his cape after lying in the grass for any amount of time:

"Always forget, don't I? Might as well get up and start cleaning it off"

After standing and dusting his cape off, he walked towards a group of bushes to make sure all his equipment was still there: shield, sword, bow and arrows, extra sword. He had his knife and gun on his person. Looked like everything was there. He then looked around and saw families joyfully playing a variety of games. Imagining a future that could never happen, he shook his head and continued to observe his surroundings. To his side he saw a girl performing various hand-to-hand techniques on a tree. A little curious and a little worried, he walked over and said:

"If you want to practice, spar with me. Don't worry, I'm not going to fight back, I'll just block."

To make sure that he didn't frighten her, he covered his scar with his hair. He was tired of wandering alone and didn't want to scare any possible company.

Her body was burning and it just wasn’t the weather outside of the movements she made. It was more of an adrenaline rush that made her blood boil and heated her up. Maybe it was those memories she had or her ambition that fueled the flames. Her knuckles weren’t bleeding yet, but the cloth from the bands wrapped around her hands was starting to show some wear. Amazingly, she didn’t sweat and the swift movement didn’t misplace her hair. Somehow she’d always managed to keep her composure when she trained, no matter how hard or how light the training was.

Yet, even will all of the focus she thought she had, due to a lack of practicing on a regular basis, her concentration was broken by a voice directed at her. After one last punch to the tree, Raveik stopped and straightened her posture, but didn’t look at the new individual directly just yet. Instead, she was disappointed in herself for letting this distraction get to her. How could she be so careless? What if she truly had been in a fight and this had happened. Raising a hand up, she shifted loose strands of hair away from her face.

From the corner of her eye, she saw the man standing there and then a younger girl walking towards her. The idea of coming here today hadn’t been to attract a crowd, but she wasn’t the type of person that would ignore someone and be rude either. With a small shift of her body, and allowed those blue eyes to come in contact with those around her, observing them, and looking them over. These people weren’t normal, not like ordinary families that came to the park to relax for a day or just take a walk because it was nice.

I don’t think I’m the one that would have to be worried for myself. I’d be more worried for you and don’t want to be responsible for any medical bills,” she said bluntly, but the confidence in her abilities lingered in her voice. Maybe she was just trying to put on a voice to make him leave so she could be in her own little world. At least, that was often what she wanted to tell herself but since her father had died, she too had often found herself alone. Being human, one always craved companionship of some odd form.

Raveik then looked to the girl, Becca that had been standing close by. She’d sparked a curiosity in her just as the male had. Always one to usually speak her mind, the words just slipped out from her mouth. “
You’re different,” was all she said. This girl was young and yet she was here in the park, investigating Raveik of all people. She could have been in school, out playing with friends, or doing whatever other children her age instead. Looking at the both but making no general eye contact to either, she spoke. “Xune.” She didn’t like being strangers.

Aoi heard Xune's reply and chuckled to himself:

"Medical Bill?" Aoi laughed. He deemed Xune brave enough not to run away from someone who looked like an assassin, thug, or gangster. He brushed his hair away from his scar and grinned.

"I just think that it's better to have a moving target that won't injure you rather than an immobile object that WILL hurt you."

After that Aoi noticed another girl also observing her.

"Enjoying the show?"

Aoi joked.

"I have to say, I enjoy it myself, but it bores me to only be a spectator. I love being in the center of a fight."

He didn't know why, but Aoi loved it when he was in the center of the action. He also didn't know if he was irking Xune to fight him or not, he was just telling the truth.

For a moment, Becca silently observed both Xune and the new stranger had that appeared shortly after she had approached the area. Xune's fighting style was what intrigued her the most, it looked so natural, yet it had some sort of hidden message in it. Watching it suddenly gave Becca feelings of sadness that hit like a tidal wave. Shaking it away, she continued watching in silence as Xune and the new stranger had continued on with heir conversation.

If I could fight like that....surely I'd be recognized and ranked up. Not to mention how nice it would be to know such advanced looking moves, especially on the battlefield. Should I ask her to train me? I don't know...she might say no or something...might as well try I suppose. What could I possibly lose after brining forth such an inquiry?

Becca rose an eyebrow after she was told that she was different. What exactly did that mean coming from Xune? So how could she tell if it was a compliment or even critizism for that matter. Cutting into the conversation, Becca finally decided to speak up.

"What do you mean I'm 'different'?", she inquired with not a hint of hostility.

For once she was happy to not be automatically recognized as someone from the Military Academy. Luckily, she chose to travel out today in casual wear, consisting of a black jacket and a miniskirt. With such attire, she figured that she wouldn't be asked to do some cadet patrolling upon walking out the door by her superiors. She had simply told them that she was heading to the store to buy a few things and that caused them to leave her be with the simple instruction to not break her curfew. But she had soon regretted her choice in clothing as a brief, chilly breeze swept through the park, causing the tree leaves to rattle to some extent.

"I'm Becca.", she stated after the woman had introduced herself.

Truthfully, she didn’t know what to think of this man after he had the backbone to start laughing. She treasured the reality that he had the spirit to rise up and declare something like that though. A smirk momentarily crossed her features, but vanished because she didn’t want to emerge arrogant. Raveik liked to constantly encompass some arrange of poise about her. Not to mention that once she did permit things to get ahead of her, she frequently seemed to regret it. Her father had taught her well though and she straightened herself back up, intrigued even more by them.

From the side, she could see Becca studying her and swung her azure shaded gaze to the teenager before she responded to Aoi. This truly was turning out to be quite the day. Never would she have anticipated that she would rally such citizens in a commons like this. Presently following a ‘ladies first’ rule, she responded to Becca. “
I’ll let you be the judge of that. Take it as you will, Becca,” she said, with just the slightest indication of a lighthearted character in her tone. She never actually told anybody upfront what she thought. She enjoyed working minds.

Changing her divided concentration back to the grinning man, she certainly didn’t have a lack of words to say to him on the subjects at hand. “[/color]It sounds more like you’re the type to go out on a suicide mission and find someone to sign your death warrant for you,” Raveik spoke, her voice with a chilliness to it. She finally took the opportunity to observe the scar on his mug and instantaneously made eye contact with him. “Looks like you previously went down that highway formerly and failed. Allow yourself to get striked either way, there are medical bills.

No, she wasn’t going to let it drop. For once, she was having too much fun with people and this was something that she hadn’t had in a extensive time. “
Besides, I won’t fight an unnamed challenger, even if it is just a practice spar.” One thing she didn’t like was not knowing the names of the people around her. Maybe that was why she’d never jumped into going in the military. “Becca, you on the other hand look like you have a head on your shoulders. Stay on that path.” She stopped herself, but urged to smile at them.

Aoi noticed that the girl he had talked to earlier was called Becca, or was that a nickname? Either way he felt inclined to atleast greet her in a formal manner:

"Good day Becca, I am Aoi Hayashi. Pleasure to meet you in such a place"

He then went foward and bowed in her direction. He didn't know what possessed him to do it, it's just felt natural to do so. He then turned his attention back to Xune.

"A verbal jousting partner, why weren't you in my life ten years ago? Ah well."

She seemed to have a hot temper. He wanted to see how far he could go before she burst. But just in case, he had is guard up.

"Every day of my life is a suicide mission. Only problem is, no one will 'fund' it. And now since I've technically introduced myself to you, why don't you spar me?"

Throughout all this he made sure to keep grinning. And continued:

"But a good spar always pales in comparison to a good sword-fight or an archery contest. Well, it looks like I have given you three options: spar, sword-fight, or archery contest your choice."

He turned to Becca and said:

"As you can see, I'm extremely bored. If this beautiful woman doesn't want any entertainment, then would you accept a chess match?"

He put an emphasis on beautiful, it's not like he could have said anything else that wouldn't be insulting. Then again, he was trying to test her temper...

Xune's words continued to spin around in Becca's mind in a whirlpool of confusion. She still didn't know what to make of her words and her lastreply only made things worse. Becca didn't wan to wrap her head around such things, so she decided to put the thought off for now. Perhaps later she would have some sort of clue as to what Xune meant. She did somewhat get her second statement though, but she could hardly agree. She felt more than anything that she was currently not the strongest, nor the sanest at the moment. For now, she faced reality, which had now become more of one that is alternate. Even her attitude was changing not to mention her mindset.

"Hello to you to.", she replied to Aoi's greet.

Up until now she had not met such unusual characters in Britannia. This country seemed to always be a tad uppity for her taste, like they turned their noses up at anything that somewhat has some sort of uniqueness to it. Here it's all about the status quo, and it'd be best if you kept up with it. Perhaps that's one reason why her Dad joined the BRL, he simply couldn't adjust himself to the new status quo that had made it's way into the world ten years ago.

It seems like the two individuals ahead of her were tranced in their own conversation, but they hadn't failed to acknowledge her. Apparently Aoi wanted to spar with Xune, something that Becca wanted to do as well, except she'd know she'd end up with more than a few bumps and bruises if she did so. Nonetheless, she still wanted to ask her to teach her some of those swift hand to hand combat moves.

"Chess Match?", she asked with a slight bit of confusion at Aoi's inquiry.

Sure Becca knew it was quite rude to answer a question with a question, but she kind of found herself inquire that purely on impulse. She was starting to find herself doing making more and more decisions on pure impulse nowadays anyway.
