Random Suzaku Kururugi Fact of the Month

Suzaku Kururugi was actually the missing link needed to create the Atomic Bomb. Scientists were baffled on how to fabricate the weapon until Suzaku showed them a Spinzaku in real time. Everything soon became clear to them.

Character of the Month
Wendy Alexis Stalingrad
Wendy Alexis Stalingrad
Wendy Alexis Stalingrad was born to parents of particularly low status in the Holy Britannian Empire. Her mother was a simple chambermaid to the Royal Family and her father was a low ranking soldier in the military. Her father was killed early on when the Black Knights first appeared and her mother was killed soon after when during the Battle of Narita. Sent to live with her grandfather, she spent the better part of her years with him, learning how to be a proud soldier of Britannia. When he too was killed in the line of fire and when the Black Knights finally emerged triumphant, she was left with nothing. As such, she didn't hesitate to join the Britannian Restoration League upon hearing of their creation to get a shot at payback. All she could think of was destroying Zero and 'restoring' her homeland. Now a full fledged member of the BRL, Wendy's specialty is infiltration and espionage and she is often assigned to go undercover in Japan for various reasons. Has a long standing rivalry with Reid Legato, Becca Buchanan, and just about anyone else that gets on her nerves. She is probably well known for her white hot temper and 'shoot first, ask later' disposition.

Between Ashford Academy and the Black Knights it was rare that Yamato got an actual day off. Like many functional and outgoing young men of his age, he had elected to spend his down time at the mall... Unlike many young men of his age he was neither outgoing, nor particularly functional in areas not concerning engineering and prototypical technologies. He'd come to the mall only as a means of getting out of his student digs, they were nice and everything, but they hadn't been lived in nearly enough to even be considered close to homely. Strangely he found it much easier to work in public sometimes when the utter isolation and plainness of the place began to grate on him.

A large meat lovers was probably a little extravagant all to himself, but damn it all he'd had a hard week. Terrorists, idiots, crazy women, what's the difference? He was sitting sideways at one of the tables provided out front, his pizza box open to his left and his notebook open on his right knee as he scribbled away. Virtual output is fine. Need to find a way to properly isolate the neural input from the body and give it over to the control interface. Implants? No. Too risky, too expensive... too disgusting. Muscle relaxant? Potentially dangerous, reasonable proposition, I'd have to test dosage... probably on myself for lack of any other dedicated party. I'll have to requisition some when I get back to the base. As his mind continued to ramble away to itself, his hand reproduced said thoughts in shorthand.

Occasionally he'd remember to reach across for a slice of pizza, without looking up as he scribbled and sketched and calculated. This time however, his 'auto-pilot' paused mid reach as his hand found itself not entwining soft delicate and warm cheese, but someone's soft, delicate and warm hand. He raised his head slowly before shooting his eyes across the table and instantly removing his hand as he noticed the offending appendage belonged to a girl. (His only weakness.) Not just any girl, one with green hair and striking golden eyes. 'Uhm... uh, I... uhm...'

Wait! Why am I stuttering!? That's my pizza!

'You uh, you could've asked you know?' I probably would've said no seeing as how it's mine and I want it all, but you could've asked.

C.C. glanced up from her chomping to see that the young man. which of whom the pizza belonged to, seemed to be quite displeased with his current finding. She however thought she did no harm, and even had the audacity to reach into the large box with her free hand for yet another slice.

"I did ask you, like three minutes ago. But you were so busy jotting whatever it is down in that notebook that you probably weren't paying attention to me. So, I just took that as a yes and here I am. You didn't seem to care then, so why should you care now?"

Around the food court, teens cruised with ease, this clearly being like a second home to them and their friends. The majority of them even went to school as close as Ashford Academy, a place where C.C. was quite familiar with. Bringing up that thought, she was reminded of the strange kid she had met there last time she paid a visit. Reid Legato was his name, and he was all but a normal high schooler. He even knew how to co-pilot her Knightmare Frame, the Morgan. She hadn't seen him since and she knew perfectly well that he was probably looking for her after he tapped into her memories through touch.

"If he ends up showing his face here, then I obviously can't let him see me! Hmm, maybe this kid here can help disguise me or something. I don't know...he looks too preoccupied to even process the thought of helping me. What to do...what to do.....might as well give it a shot. But first....."

C.C. finished off the slice previously picked up and grabbed yet another slice of warm gooey-ness. She couldn't recall ever tasting this type of pizza before since Lelouch would always obtain only the pepperoni flavor. Still it was established her favorite as a result and he was the one to introduce her to such a godly food.

"I hope you got the funds for more, 'cause I just quit my job last month and I'm broke.", C.C. stated in between her cheesy bites.

He supposed it was entirely possible that she could have been there that whole time and he like as not wouldn't have noticed. 'I... I didn't realise you were there,' he replied, sounding quite embarrassed at his social faux pas even as he flipped his notebook shut and slid it into his pocket. Seeing that it wasn't going to last long he swung himself in to face the strange girl properly, grabbing another slice just as she had. 'Well, I think I have a couple of notes left in my wallet so I'm sure I-- Hey! Why do I have to pay for your pizza?'

Wonderful, another crazy woman.... I'm starting to miss Captain Rayvin already.

He glared at her across the table at her, trying his best to put on a scowl, but because of his youthful features and overall unimposing vibe it ended up looking more like a pout as he continued to munch o their now shared pizza. He didn't know who in the world this girl was, or who she seemed to think she was making demands of him all of a sudden, but he wasn't about to be tapped for pizza money just at the drop of a hat. Besides which he couldn't just sit around eating pizza with some crazy girl all day, his day was free and he intended to use it to make some sort of stride forwards with his prototype. He wanted to be able to at least try fitting it to his Tsubasa (right after he got hold of that leather seat) as soon as he got back to Pengulai.

'Who are you anyway? Have we met before or something?' Yamato very much doubted that, but it was always best to ask and he didn't think someone who didn't know him in any way or by any extension would have the sheer gall to come up and steal pizza. Or ask to, but he was starting to think that she probably hadn't.

C.C. paid no mind to the boy's scolding as she continued to chomp mercilessly on the pizza. She hadn't had a decent bite to eat in a while and there was no way she was going to let this meal elude her. Neither was she going to let this boy get away either. It might be as risky as following Reid Legato, but at this rate she had no choice seeing as how she had no where to stay. For the most part, she had been sleeping in The Morgan's dual cockpit, but even that was beginning to get uncomfortable. What she missed was the softness of a fluffy pillow with an equally fluffy bed.

"I don't recall ever meeting you in my life. But you however do look somewhat familiar.", she replied.

Finishing off her slice, she leaned slightly back in her chair, gazing at the last slice in the box. Now that she thought about it, this kid did look kinda familiar. However, she was almost positive she had never met him before. The last time she had been in this place was ten years ago, and back then he was most likely a kid. She hadn't met any children with his appearance that she could think of.

"Hey kid, what's your name.", she asked after finally deciding to grab the last piece of pizza in the box before he could.

If she heard his name, perhaps it would shed some light on the situation. But would he be willing to give out his name so openly to a girl who just practically stole his pizza?

Yamato was, by this time, pretty much resigned to his meal's fate to not be his at all. He'd had about his fill anyway and didn't even grace the last slice with a glance, instead he kept his eyes on the girl, no longer even attempting a scowl and clearly deep in thought. He listened to her intently as she continued to eat, so she had seen him before, or someone very much like him. He probably would've remembered someone so bright and distinctive as her. So perhaps it's that she's seen me before without herself being seen? Kinda creepy, perfectly plausible though. The audacious rudeness of her next question quite honestly took him back a bit.

He frowned at her, he hated being talked to like that. As far as he was concerned his childhood had ended ten years prior, stolen away by the Britannian empire. 'It's Yamato. Yamato Shizuka and I'm not a kid.' He let it slip by that she'd rather tactfully evaded his first question by immediately addressing his second. He elected not to pose it again, if she did not want to answer then she did not want to answer. If there was one thing he knew about women (and there probably only was the one thing) it was that they were often capricious in such a manner, seemingly without good reason. Or at least that was how the women surrounding his life often seemed.

Whoever this woman... girl... person was she interested Yamato for some reason. Putting aside for a second the way in which she looked, spoke and carried herself. There just seemed to be something indescribable about her, something “other” which no matter how hard he tried Yamato could not put his finger on. As a man of science, Yamato was easily annoyed by variables he could not put his finger on, not so in this case. There was something entrancing about it really, about her. He leaned his head on one of his hands and continued to watch her, awaiting her assessment of his name and whether they had indeed met before.

Forever Falling

Wendy honestly loved pizza. It was her favorite food since she was a little girl and it so happened to be the only thing she had eaten while she was in Japan. It was easy to eat, easy to prepare, and most importantly, it tasted great in her opinion. Even if she wasn't fond of the Japanese, even she had to admit that they could at the very least make a pretty good pizza pie. Today she had opted to head down to the mall in hopes of grabbing a slice or two. She hadn't eaten anything all day and her mouth was practically drooling by the time she stepped into Pizza Hut. A day off from work in the BRL came once in a blue moon and she sure wasn't about to waste it sitting around her her tiny, cluttered apartment. She quickly grabbed a seat, staring at the menu and wondering what kind of pizza she would have today. The menu here in Japan was so vast and different from one in Britannia that she would often have a difficult time figuring everything out. Opting to go for the meat lovers today, she walked up to the counter and prepared to order. That particular flavor had been her favorite for as long as she could remember and she was thankful the Japanese were at the very least smart enough to have that, if not anything else she was fond of.

"Hmph! It's a good think I got that bonus for all my hard work! I usually don't pig out like this, but I think ordering a few pieces should be my reward for having to stay in this backwater country..."

Soon enough, her order had arrived: an entire meat lover's pizza with the works, one that she intended to eat all by herself. Contempt with her selection, she smiled, grabbed a seat at a nearby table, and began to chow down as if she had never eaten a day in her life. The cheese practically melted in her mouth and the sauce was top notch. The meat was out of this world as well and she was sure she had entered some sort of pizza heaven. It was so delicious that it actually brought a tear to her eye, as she took a gargantuan bit out of another slice.

"Well, it's about time things started to go my way. I've had the worst string of luck since I arrived here. Hmph, at least the pizza is tolerable."

Wendy heard the sounds of two people having a discussion at the table behind her, one that was loud enough to disturb her dining. She tried to ignore it at first, but her temper quickly got the better of her. What gave these idiots the right to interrupt her well deserved meal like this?

Turning toward the individuals in question, she stated, "Hey! Pipe down back there, you two! You're interfering with everyone else's meal!"

Those around couldn't quite agree with her sentiment, as she was causing much more of a disturbance than the Japanese boy and the green-haired woman combined with her outburst. Not noticing her loud tone, she waited for one of the two to offer her some sort of response.

Diamond: Wow, Bunny just said 'Gimme a Knife.' I think that's the scariest thing a woman could ever say.
Artie: ...yes...
drobum: nah. "You're the father" is much worse

C.C. glanced over at the woman who had just scolded her and company with a mute expression. Gobbling up the remains of her slice, she then begun to stare at the stranger's pizza, which was hot and just delivered fresh to her table. It also happened to be the same toppings of the delicious meal she had just stolen from Yamato.

"I'm sorry but, aren't you doing the same?", she replied in a polite tone.

The last thing she wanted to do was upset what could be a second meal. Wait, did she hear Yamato right when he said his last name was 'Shizuka'? When she asked, she got a much ruder reply than she had expected. But then again, everyone was touchy these days with the BRL practically breathing down everyone's necks. Still, she couldn't help but think that sounded mildly familiar. Perhaps she should look into this later but for now she didn't want him being anymore suspicious of her than he was now.

"Touchy, touchy! Fine, I won't call you 'kid' anymore alright? And why do you keep staring at me, is there something on my face?"

More and more customers continued to stare on at the ruckus she was causing, but it didn't quite bother her very much. It was Yamato's staring that puzzled her the most. Not to mention the woman at the other table, who was letting her poor, delicious pizza get chilly due to their 'minor' distractions.

"Okay, it doesn't seem like Yamato's mad anymore....should I just follow him home to steal his bed or should I just ask? No, asking would definitely be the wrong thing to do....

Yamato made a point of completely ignoring the outburst from one of the other tables, for one he didn't want to make waves and besides that he found the girl across from him more interesting. Less annoying as well, if only slightly less so. Even after hearing his name she didn't elaborate, which most would take to mean that she knew nothing of him, but she had approached him. Yamato was not entirely unaware of the intrigue being a Black Knight could embroil one in and with the BRL sniffing around the USJ he was on his guard for peculiarities. She didn't look particularly Britannian, though with green hair and gold eyes the only thing she looked in particular was odd.

'You mean aside from the huge globule of cheese making its way down your chin? No, not really.' Seemed as though this girl REALLY did like pizza. Yamato smiled, clearly amused at the sight. He averted his eyes seeing as how his close examination of her seemed to be making her uncomfortable. It was only then that he actually realised how many people had begun to stare, which made him uncomfortable... distinctly uncomfortable. Glancing from side to side, he quickly resolved that it was time he made a move, get back to his apartment and wait for the call from the Black Knights. He expected they'd want him back sooner rather than later and however interesting his little pizza thief was he had to prioritize.

In the end, he prioritized wrong. Poor Yamato. He rose from his seat, touching his pocket to make sure the notebook had not slipped from within before crossing around the table and offering the girl a hand up from her seat. 'So... care to go for a walk? There might even be another pizza at the end.' He felt as though she were holding something back, it might simply have been that she wanted free pizza, but he had a feeling there was an undercurrent to this chance encounter that he missing almost entirely.

C.C. reluctantly rose from her seat after wiping the gooey cheese off her chin. Although sticking with him was the plan she had chosen, C.C. just knew that along with this plan would arise a onslaught of questions, questions that she really didn't fell obligated to answer. The only person she would dare answer another question to was Lelouch, and he was no longer here. Which reminded her, would she ever give out another contract and if so, to whom would be deserving enough to obtain it? The last thing she wanted was for 'The Power Of The Kings' to fall into the wrong grasp. It had already happened once with Mao, and she didn't want the same mistake repeating itself, just as this war has.

"Fine, but no sidetrips.", she replied a short moment later.

C.C.'s outfit, which was a brown tank top and a black miniskirt, wasn't exactly her usual of style since it's colors were a tad too bright for her. She could only stuff what she could into her Knightmare due to the somewhat limited space in the cockpit. Even now The Morgon was quite junky, littered with old pizza boxes and clothes. It made no sense for her to clean it up, considering that it didn't bother her and there was no one else to complain about it or scold her.

"He says there might be a pizza at the end? No, there better be a pizza at the end of this.", she thought to herself.

Running her fingers through her long, light green hair, she turned to toward the window beside them, where mall goers were still doing their daily loitering and shopping. A few even looked back at her, but she didn't return their gazes. Shifting back to her company, she continued to run her hands through her hair.

"Shall we", she inquired.

No sidetrips? Fair enough, if the price of information was food then information had depreciated significantly in more recent days. 'Yes we shall,' he replied, tajing the lead out of the Hut and into the mall where hopefully their voices would be nicely muffled by the overall bustle for what was to come. Yamato was about to do something stupid, but there were certain things that he wanted to know and being direct and to the point was the only way forward that he could see. He had it about figured out. Not the girl, he knew full well as a young man he would never understand the women around him; rather he had managed to pin down (or at least he thought he had) where this girl knew him from.

Falling in to step beside her, Yamato remained silent a few seconds more, glancing sideways at her whilst biting on his bottom lip. Finally he decided that any form or semblance of tact would be counter productive and resolved to just come out and say it. 'So... if it's not too soon to ask...' Unfortunately he stumbled at the first post, no wonder no one seemed to take him seriously.

'I was just wondering have you perhaps, at some time in the past, had any dealings with the Black Knights?' Despite his obvious anxiety at asking the question he managed to keep his voice down as much as possible. 'I wouldn't ask,' he was quick to add, after all associations with the Black Knights were still not something to be trumpeted from the rooftops and anyone who was a part of the organization really ought not tell anyone who didn't already know, 'only that's where you'd most likely know me from. Well... not uhm, not me exactly, but someone like me...'

Mallgoers continued to mill about them as Yamato stopped and turned towards the girl, with his hands in his pockets he wrapped his fingers around his phone, ready and willing to send out the call for pizza if and when he got the answers he wanted.
