Random Suzaku Kururugi Fact of the Month

Suzaku Kururugi was actually the missing link needed to create the Atomic Bomb. Scientists were baffled on how to fabricate the weapon until Suzaku showed them a Spinzaku in real time. Everything soon became clear to them.

Character of the Month
Wendy Alexis Stalingrad
Wendy Alexis Stalingrad
Wendy Alexis Stalingrad was born to parents of particularly low status in the Holy Britannian Empire. Her mother was a simple chambermaid to the Royal Family and her father was a low ranking soldier in the military. Her father was killed early on when the Black Knights first appeared and her mother was killed soon after when during the Battle of Narita. Sent to live with her grandfather, she spent the better part of her years with him, learning how to be a proud soldier of Britannia. When he too was killed in the line of fire and when the Black Knights finally emerged triumphant, she was left with nothing. As such, she didn't hesitate to join the Britannian Restoration League upon hearing of their creation to get a shot at payback. All she could think of was destroying Zero and 'restoring' her homeland. Now a full fledged member of the BRL, Wendy's specialty is infiltration and espionage and she is often assigned to go undercover in Japan for various reasons. Has a long standing rivalry with Reid Legato, Becca Buchanan, and just about anyone else that gets on her nerves. She is probably well known for her white hot temper and 'shoot first, ask later' disposition.

As the humid air swirled above the proceedings below a black parade was strolling through the streets. A caravan of black cars and vans slowly manuevered through the empty streets of Shinjuku, moving at a snail's pace. All on-lookers had gathered onto the sidewalks, many cheering as they saw their hero ride through the roads. A large contingent of Black Knights all marched in solemn columns as their leader watched from a float behind them. When the train of floats and soldiers had stopped a shadowy, cloaked figure in a helmet raised a hand then began to speak: "People of Japan! I have seen the masses of Britannia rise up against you! I have watched from the shadows as a new enemy has spit on you, kicked you, torn down everything you loved. I have not forgotten your plight! I was mearly taking notes on this new enemy. There will be a new era for the Black Knights, a new era for Japan. You have cast off the shadow of Britannia once before and you shall do it again!" As the people began cheering louder and louder the cloaked figure raised his hand once more to hush the crowd. Speaking again he said "I am Zero! These are the Black Knights! We shall grasp victory!" With that last statement the crowds cheered louder than ever and the parade moved on in silence. Truly a new age of terror had begun.

Forever Falling

Wendy had inexplicably been in the crowd at the time that Zero had decided to reappear on the scene, something she wasn't too thrilled with. She was all too ready to accept the fact that Zero had retired, or even better, had been killed. The reality of him appearing in the streets of Japan today merely proved her wrong. She watched on as the crowds cheered gallantly at the spectacle unfolding around her. Wrapping her leather jacket around her, she moved through the people to try and get a closer look at this supposed 'Zero.' For all she knew, the real was had indeed been assassinated and this was nothing more than a replacement fabricated to keep the masses from panicking. She had no way of proving such a thing, however, so she didn't see the point in stirring up any trouble. All she could really do was whine and complain.

"Zero, huh? If I could get close to him, maybe I could..."

That wasn't a possibility at the moment. Zero was heavily guarded by his Black Knights at every possible junction. A charge would mean suicide and it would most likely reveal her identity as a member of the BRL. With nothing for her to do, she merely sat quietly and waited to see if someone else would attempt something.

Reid stood in the crowd of Japanese, unsure of what to feel. As a child all he had seen was the hatred that Britannia had for Zero but now it seemed like his goals were closer to that of Reid's. Both cared about the Japanese and yet there was something about Zero's methods that Reid couldn't quite agree upon. Shrugging Reid decided to let the higher ups decide if Zero was an enemy or not. Until a move was made on Britannia he was sure that no conflict would be started. The Military already had their hands full with the BRL. Perhaps peace would be reached with the Black Knights?

Dr. Squidward Thadius Tentacles here

E.E. watched as cameras started rolling filming the 'Heroic Return' of Zero. He had to chuckle as the people quickly forgot about the threat of the BRL, as well as the very real threat of ancient beliefs. He watched as Zero continued his speech making the crowd more and more excited. The same could be said of famous and infamous leaders. Just as Hitler raised awareness through show of military might and parades, so too was Zero using his past accomplishments to raise morale for his cause.

"Let's remind this relic of who the real threat is. Let the sleeper camera operator know the time is now."

"Yes my lord!

A camera man received a call on his cell phone with a code being played that could only really be detected if you broke down the phone call. It wasn't the voice saying, but actually a light number code being repeated in the background. The camera man answered with an understood, and then switched a camera feed to the one facing E.E.

"Zero. The hero of old as one might say. Still keeping old promises? Or are you merely playing dress up? Tell me have you seen some of your Black Knights? They really seem to enjoy being here. Wouldn't you agree?"

E.E. motioned towards the Black Knights who had been brutally tortured and humiliated hanging by their hands and just barely standing. They moaned and groaned from the pain they were in. These Black Knights were barely alive, and blindfolded. This was a threat from E.E. to Zero. There would be only blood to come in the next few months.

"Tell me.....do you think a black knight will purge the wicked? Fight for justice? If so then they should be able to stop me right here, and right now right?"

The immortal turned around and gave the signal to execute them all on world wide television. The dead black knights were taken off camera, and only E.E's bright blue eyes remained on screen. Any BRL in the crowd would recognize this look, but it would also show where their real loyalties landed. If they remained then they would be spared. If they left, however, the network of assassins that the BRL had across the world would go after them in force. No one left the BRL. The BRL disposed of their members when no longer needed.

"You've been warned....'Zero.'"

While everything within Zero was in a flurry you couldn't tell from the outside. With the same collected demeanor of a viper before the strike Zero said "They think they can dissuade our cause by fear. They think they can push us around and that the Rebellion will crumble. But will we give them that satisfaction?" Taking a pause Zero listened to the silence of the crowd. If they could not overlook a small event such as this then they truly were not ready for his coming plan. Out of the silence rang one strong voice of "Hell no!" then another, then another! Soon the Japanese were in a frenzy screaming "NO! NO! NO!" Some shouted from the rooftops, others clambered onto cars. Anything to be heard by the leader they believed in. Zero shouted "Those Knights sacrifices will not be in vain! We will show them the strength of the Black Knights, the strength of Japan. And we shall accomplish this with your support!" Although Zero had quelled the depression of this latest stunt so far he knew this leader of the BRL was going to be a thorn in his side. And what do you do with thorns? You clip them of course. The BRL would get theirs in due time.

Arturus tu Britannia

Yamato, standing solemnly amongst the assembled Black Knights, stared up in awe at Zero, even as they marched he could not take his eyes away from him. He remained fixated throughout their leader's speech right up until another rang out clear across the crowd. This man... he misunderstands Zero completely. He could not help but grind his teeth impotently at the sight of his fellow Black Knights, some who he recognised in passing, at the complete mercy of the BRL. If I had worked faster... if I'd completed my prototype, then this might not... That kind of thought would take him nowhere. He lifted his eyes to look on sternly at the final moments of his comrades, beaten, broken, humiliated, but at least with their honour intact. Refusing to give in, to give up on the future, that was what it meant to be a member of the Black Knights. That's why Zero's not a part of the past, he's the vanguard of the future. Our eternal future. That's why I...

As the shouting around him raised his head dipped, he gritted his teeth and shut his eyes tight, as if trying to block out what he had just seen. He placed a hand over his heart, recoiling as though he'd just been struck there and that was when he felt it. The Black Knight behind him had placed a firm hand on his shoulder, with his eyes opened he looked back, then straightened up and faced forward again. Amongst the clamour he raised his fist in the air and yelled out above the crowd, a tribute to the fallen.

'Kuro no Kishidan banzai! Banzai, banzai!'

The Knight who had steadied him was the first to join his voice with Yamato's. They repeated in unison.

'Kuro no Kishidan banzai!
'Kuro no Kishidan banzai!'

Another Knight would join them and another, the rippling chant went out amongst the assembled Black Knights until they all cried out at the top of their lungs. 'Banzai!' 'Banzai!' Would that such a gesture were all it took to alter the world, Yamato would have called out until his voice cracked and his heart collapsed, as it was he was already panting between the frenzied chants. Perhaps this time Zero had been taken unaware, as such he did not create another miracle for them, but he would. And then, when that is finally completed, I can repay the favour and create a miracle for Zero.

-

Elsewhere in the crowd a quite different hand had found its way to the shoulder of Wendy Stalingrad. The hand belonged to Arturus tu Britannia, exiled prince and 'White King' as Wemdy knew him. A title he had appropriated for his own purposes from his brother Schneizel, who no longer had any need of it. 'Queen,' he said firm above the cacophony of noises around them, 'not yet. Not yet.' It was not sufficient to simply kill Zero, even in such a public venue. Someone else would put on the mask, Zero would 'resurrect' and it would be proclaimed a miracle by his supporters.

Arturus sighed at his Commander's conduct. 'You know, if the Commander keeps on trying to rule with an iron fist, he's going to wind up with sore knuckles. Despite what they had just witnessed, Arturus was feeling rather playful, after all, that method of command and conquest was a joke. Nothing could be achieved through strength of arms that would not crumble within half a decade, it seemed as though it was only he in the BRL who knew that though.

Forever Falling

"I knew there was a reason I bothered to leave the house today."

Wendy was rather awestruck how quickly things were heating up in the heart of Shinjuku City, where a parade in Zero's return was currently under way. The situation had taken a turn with E.E., leader of the Britannian Restoration League and Wendy's boss, arrived on the scene with an entrance that was honestly better one of Zero's. While she watched on like an overexcited spectator, she listened in as the two leader's exchanged words with one another, bad blood flowing between them. This honestly might have been the first time the two powerful individual's had ever met in Wendy's recollection. She was further amazed when E.E. put on display dozens of tortured Black Knights, she unsure of when her leader had even captured them. She was certain that Zero would surrender or at least bargain for their lives, yet she was somewhat surprised when he instead turned the tables against E.E. and used the soldiers as living martyr instead. Perhaps Zero wasn't so holy as he would have wanted the citizens of Japan to believe he was. Then again, she supposed the same thing could be said about her own leader. The two were quite similar in a multitude of ways, yet at the same time they were universes apart.

She soon found herself looking around and noticed that everyone else's attention was completely glued to what was happening, including the soldiers supposedly guarding Zero. If she were to slip away in all the confusion, she doubted someone would acknowledge her doing so. As such, her hand shot down toward a gun that was placed on a hidden holster on the side of her thigh. Her boss was doing her a favor here: with him distracting Zero, she had actually chance to assassinate the leader of the Black Knights. She wouldn't have much time before someone saw what she was up to, so she knew she would have to aim carefully to make sure the lone shot she fired was the one that ended Zero's life. Her hands shaking, the moment was almost surreal in her opinion. She had gone over a scenario like this a million times in her head in the past, never thinking she would ever have the opportunity to make her dreams reality. A sensation of anxiousness mixed with excitement then swept across her entire person, causing her already trembling limbs to violently shake even more. Thinking to herself, she understood that she didn't have time to hesitate. If she was going to do this and get her name written in the history books, she was going to have to act now.

Mumbling, she stated, "Death to Zero...and Death to the Black Knights..."

Before she could pull the trigger, however, she felt a hand touch her shoulder. The sudden action had frightened her so badly that she accidentally fired off a round that echoed throughout the area. Abruptly cut off from the sights ahead, everyone nearby faced the sound of the gunshot, while Wendy stuck her head down to avoid anyone seeing her. That was the worst possible thing she could have done, she figured. Thankfully, since everything had happened so fast, all everyone had heard was the gunshot, screaming in terror and assuming that the Black Knights and the BRL had opened fire on one another. People scattered all around her, but Wendy couldn't have care less about them. No, she focused all her attention to the individual above her, a frown spreading over her mouth. The 'White King' of all people was standing in front of her.

"Oh, you have got to be kidding me!"

"You know, if the Commander keeps trying to rule with an iron fist, he's going to wind up with sore knuckles."

Wendy smacked her lips, with the sounds of screams in the background. "We have to stop bumping into each other like this."

What in the world was he doing here, she asked herself. She knew he was a member of the BRL, so the fact that he was here along with E.E. wasn't what had surprised her. It was the reality that he had tracked her down so easily that had stunned her so. Something told her that he was here for business and not pleasure this time around. Had he stopped her from taking out Zero on purpose or had it just been unlucky coincidence? Whatever the case, she decided to remain silent and let him explain the reason he had showed his face to her today.

After the sound of gunfire the parade had quickly devolved into a scene of chaos. As several black knights ushered Zero to safety many more began to scour the area for the source of the shots, their firearms drawn in a sea of black steel. During the ensuing chaos fleeing turned to shoving, violence between others in an effort to discern the source of the gunfire and punish it. As Zero watched a slight grin formed on the face of the mysterious man behind the mask. This was the strength of Japan. Not its military, not its economy. But its true strength lied within its own people. They were ready and capable to fight for what they believed in, what they wanted to their very core. Everyone was prepared to fight to the death for their freedom.
