Random Suzaku Kururugi Fact of the Month

Suzaku Kururugi was actually the missing link needed to create the Atomic Bomb. Scientists were baffled on how to fabricate the weapon until Suzaku showed them a Spinzaku in real time. Everything soon became clear to them.

Character of the Month
Wendy Alexis Stalingrad
Wendy Alexis Stalingrad
Wendy Alexis Stalingrad was born to parents of particularly low status in the Holy Britannian Empire. Her mother was a simple chambermaid to the Royal Family and her father was a low ranking soldier in the military. Her father was killed early on when the Black Knights first appeared and her mother was killed soon after when during the Battle of Narita. Sent to live with her grandfather, she spent the better part of her years with him, learning how to be a proud soldier of Britannia. When he too was killed in the line of fire and when the Black Knights finally emerged triumphant, she was left with nothing. As such, she didn't hesitate to join the Britannian Restoration League upon hearing of their creation to get a shot at payback. All she could think of was destroying Zero and 'restoring' her homeland. Now a full fledged member of the BRL, Wendy's specialty is infiltration and espionage and she is often assigned to go undercover in Japan for various reasons. Has a long standing rivalry with Reid Legato, Becca Buchanan, and just about anyone else that gets on her nerves. She is probably well known for her white hot temper and 'shoot first, ask later' disposition.

It had been several hours since his fateful meeting with Mr. Nikarov at Ashford. Since that time, he had gone through the trouble of purging the work areas of dirt and grease by hand, his carpals now sore and palms black. He's re-arranged the Gun-Rai, which was now active with a few adjustments of his own-- for example, Landspinners from Akatsuki and Glocesters had been added and in some cases, welded together as to increase it's overall speed. Two Glocester Fact-spheres had been added to the shoulders, the spheres from Sutherland units, upgraded to be on-par with current generation's factspheres by the red-haired royal. Armor from Sutherlands had been added, as to make the Gun-Rai less like a toy model and more like a Knightmare Frame. The Rai was also missing a manipulator, replaced by a Gloucester jousting lance. But most noticeable of all, it was now painted a yellow color, with two black circles above the external cockpit. This made the thing resemble a giant smiley faced robot.

But that was not all that was about the Viscount's lair. All of his paintings had been moved to the back, where he didn't much expect the Britannian's to see them. His bed had also been put into a closet, along with his recently picked up Big Mac that he hadn't begun eating yet. But most importantly, was what had been laid out-- a clear path had been made to a large circular area. On a board towards the back, were pages upon pages of calculations, diagrams, and keys as to a 'Project Melta', and most noticeable of all, a black-board with a large diagram of some sort of weapon drawn onto it, certain areas colored certain colors indicating important and delicate parts of the theoretical weapon.

At the moment, Alex went about tarping over the many parts of Frames he had collected over the years, the many large work benches being covered by black, as he waited for the fateful 'Holy Angel' to appear.

Caution: May Cause Insanity

There was a group of Britannian Restoration League issue Knightmare Frames in a clearing, apparently searching through the rubble of an abandoned building at the very outskirts of the Tokyo settlement. Raiiel, in her own Knightmare, kneeling at the farthest edges of the clearing in the shadow of some trees, was watching and waiting. It was her own idea, and her own solo mission, she knew how unorganized the underlings could become once their higher power is no longer around, so she had devised this plan herself. She did not need anyone else with her as back up, they would give her away, and she needed stealth on her side to accomplish this task.

Her mission was a simple one: take out the commanding officer and vacate the premises. Of course, it only sounded simple. It might have actually been simple if only there weren't two grunts patrolling closer to her than she would have liked. But, of course, there are always complications. She was ready to finish her mission and get out of there as soon as possible. She was completely still in her Knightmare, cloaking system up so she was invisible to anyone looking her way, her target was in her cross-hairs, and her finger was on the trigger, just waiting. It was all so perfect; her target was out in the open, in an obviously more advanced Knightmare Frame reserved for those of a higher rank, and they just stood there, moving perhaps a few meters in any direction, but seemingly always returning to it's previous location; there was no wind, the air was still, and there was nothing to obscure her aim. Her target was even hidden from the view of the rest of the group, so if once they fell, there would plenty of time for Raiiel to vanish before anyone realized that their commanding officer was even dead. All she had to do was pull the trigger, but the only problem were the two frustrating grunts. If she fired, they would see it, exposing her location, and being exposed was the last thing she wanted.

She seemed to be holding her breath the entire time, staring down her target through her scope as she watched the two standard Knightmares out of the corner of her eye on her screen, waiting patiently. She had to time this perfectly - and hope that her target did not move too far out of her scope's current sight, otherwise she would have to readjust - and if she did not time it just right, she would have to fight those two meaningless soldiers at close range, which would pretty much make her sniping rifle useless. Sure, she was equipped for both long and close range, but her specialty was shooting from a distance, catching her target off-guard, and disappearing without a trace before anyone realized what had just occurred. Raiiel waited until the two grunts were looking away before taking the shot. If she did not make the shot now, she would miss her opportunity. It had to be now. She pulled the trigger, and seemed to watch in slow motion as her bullet, almost silently, left her gun's barrel and cut through the air, closing the distance between it and her target. The bullet penetrated the Knightmare's cockpit in the perfect place, slicing through the unaware pilot's cranium, shooting out the opposite side, and burying itself into the soft earth. The BRL Knightmare grew still and almost seemed to slump slightly, but all of this, luckily, went unnoticed - so far.

Raiiel clenched her teeth together, satisfied that her bullet hit her mark, but getting annoyed at the two patrolling grunts. Right after she had fired, they had decided to move closer to her actual location, and they even paused right next to her, barely a meter away from touching her Knightmare with their own. She could not make an escape now, unless she wanted to fight her way out, but she had to leave quickly. Soon they would see their commanding officer's motionless Knightmare and investigate, only to see them dead. They would want to search every inch of the premises for the assassin responsible. And they would find her - unless she found some way to leave without being spotted. She knew her time was running out to make a safe escape. She noticed that the two grunts seem to be preoccupied with something, she guessed they were chatting on their communication line. She observed that a single Knightmare was approaching the officer's location. She cursed under her breath. It was too soon to be revealed! She had to leave now. The two grunts seemed to suddenly grow alert as they looked around, extending their factsphere sensors to get a better view of their surroundings. They knew! This was bad, it was best to make a run for it, she would be found sooner or later, either way. She hoped that at least she would have a little fun while making her escape.

Her usual sly smile was back on her lips as she came up with her decision, to do the last thing she wanted to do. Quickly, she brought her Knightmare to it's feet, the movement causing her cloaking system to deactivate. Before they knew it, she slammed her rifle, barrel first, into the closest grunt and fired another round, incapacitating the Frame and possibly killing the pilot. The second grunt quickly raised their own weapon to fire at the Knightmare that had suddenly appeared before their eyes and had so swiftly dispatched their comrade. Before they could aim and pull the trigger on their gun, Raiiel had shot out her slash harken from her Knightmare's left wrist to destroy the grunt's Frame's exposed factsphere sensor, causing all of their visuals to turn to static. The pilot hesitated, giving Raiiel plenty of time to distance herself from the grunt and fired a final round from her rifle, taking them out. It was all over in a matter of seconds, but Raiiel could not revel in her victory just yet, now she needed to get out of the area as fast as she could. It seemed that her short fight had not gone unnoticed, she could see some of the other BRL Knightmares coming her way.

Quickly, she took to the air. She was soon spotted by the rest of the BRL grunts. Just as she expected, Raiiel now had a group of flying Gloucesters pursuing her, but she was quite far from them because of her head start. She knew they would chase her down until they overtook her, which would probably once she reached Pengulai, and she was not going to let that happen. They probably recognized her Knightmare Frame and knew who it was that was piloting, and they were probably planning on trying to take her out, or capture her, in order to cause some sort of disorder, tragedy, or whatever within the ranks of the Black Knights. They just seemed so intent on chasing her. A few took some potshots at her, but none of their bullets came close to hitting her. She let them follow her for a few kilometers before she dropped out of the air and out of their view into a heavily forested area. Once she landed, she backtracked a little bit then stood next to a tree and kept still, engaging her cloaking system, becoming invisible. She watched, amused, as a few of the BRL group landed a distance away and attempted to pursue her on ground with their landspinners for speed while the rest of their comrades kept airborne. But, they were going in the wrong direction, growing further and further away from her. Once she lost sight of them, she switched her invisibility off and began sprinting over the ground, through the trees, headed toward the city limits, keeping low. All the while, she kept herself alert to her surroundings to make sure they had not changed directions. She occasionally paused and became invisible for a minute to observe her surroundings, before she continued her journey to civilization, just as a precaution. Finally she reached her destination.

Now that she was within city limits, she slowed her Knightmare's pace from sprinting to a casual stroll. Nowadays it was not too uncommon to see Knightmare Frames roaming the streets because of all the war. Those who followed the events of the war on the news, would often cheer her Knightmare on as she passed them, but for now, the streets were clear of curious eyes, so she did not need to worry about attracting too much attention. For now, she needed to find a place to store her Knightmare until she was sure the BRL alert had moved on. She did not dare take to the air and retreat back to base, she did not want to risk anyone seeing and pursuing her, and causing a battle to breakout so close to the Black Knights' Headquarters.

Raiiel maneuvered her Knightmare calmly, though she was watching everything around her carefully on her screens. She certainly was not going to be caught off guard. This street did not seem to be much of a residential area, but she still did not want to bring attention to herself by being tense, it might cause any onlookers to become worried about an attack, she would much rather keep this place as peaceful as possible. Soon, she spotted a structure that looked almost like a hangar at the edge of the street some distance away. She thought that perhaps that would be a good place to lie low for a while, and made her way toward it. She paused to look around before entering and parking her Knightmare in the corner. Once the majority of her systems were shut down and cooling off, she hopped out of her cockpit and descended to the ground. With a push of a button on her key, her white Knightmare vanished from sight behind her, as if it had never been there. This all happened within a few, quiet seconds.

While in her Knightmare, she had observed some activity within the mini-hangar, and was amused to see a tall youth with bright red hair going about his business. He did not seem to notice her presence at all, too preoccupied with tidying up. Raiiel looked at him for a moment, curious, then deemed him not to be an immediate threat to her. Her observant teal eyes swept across the room, wondering what all of this could be for. A Frankenstein-esque Knightmare seemed to be the centerpiece of all of this, but it looked to her to be nonoperational, still peaking her interest nonetheless. Her footsteps were silent as she approached the boy and his Knightmare paraphernalia, wanting to see exactly who it was, but she decided that could wait. She paused and averted her attention to the board full of schematics, seeing if she could make sense of them. Raiiel seemed to be completely calm as if barging into someone else's place was an everyday event for her. Though, certainly anyone who saw her - a cloaked and masked figure with a sniping rifle resting on her back, slightly obscuring the Black Knights symbol on the back of her cloak - randomly appearing in their personal space, may or may not have a panic attack.

'Hm! Nearly finished up here! I wonder when 'Holy Angel' or whoever will be getting to show u-- whatshitholyhellsonvabitchwhat.'

Very quickly, Alex noticed the imposing cloaked figure hovering over the Gun-Rai, as if a sixth sense told him that a stranger was in his lair. Upon inspecting the figure, he thought perhaps he was Nikaov's superior officer, the one supposed to visit him...best confirm it.

"A-are you...uh...'Holy Angel'?"

Almost immediately after he proposed the question, he facepalmed. No no no no no! This person wore garb that a Britannian military man would never touch! This was either a bandit or...no, not a common bandit. The figure had a much different look about him/her...s/he looked almost like a--!

"Black Knight!?"

Suddenly, Alex lost his footing a tripped over his own shoes, banging his head aganist one of his newly tarped Knightmare tables. He remained disorentated for a moment, before quickly getting up and walking both carefully and quickly at the supposed Black Knight.

"Aw dammit! You guys aren't back to being terrorists again, are you?! Gah, well, c'mon, spit it out, who are you?! Er...not to be, y'know rude but...um...I'm sorta'...WHO ARE YOU?! I'm, er, expecting someone y'know, and I don't much think you are he and he is you...so...out with it...please?"

He spoke with a slew of unfinished thoughts in his mind, starting off angry, then getting intimidated, then apologetic, then angry again, before calming down and talking a bit more confidently and rationally, stopping and rubbing the back of his head to both sooth his new 'wound' and comfort himself.

Raiiel looked over at the boy and blinked when she heard him speak. Holy Angel. She knew that name, and it brought a mischievous glint to her eyes. What did this youth know about Nik, and why? She decided to disregard it for now, too entertained by the boy's clumsiness and confusion as to why she was here.

"Terrorists?" she repeated and chuckled, smiling her usual sly smile, though it was hidden behind her mask. When Raiiel was still a part of the Britannian army, before it became a democracy, everyone around her referred to the Black Knights as terrorists, it was very amusing to watch. She had not personally joined the Black Knight during the Black Rebellion, it was only after, that she entered their ranks, so she could help keep the peace they created. So, she had never been a part of a terrorist organization, as they had been known back then, but she did observe them when they were, and knew that if she were a Black Knight terrorist, she would probably have shot this odd boy due to his possession of a Knightmare Frame. "If I was a terrorist, you'd already be dead," she stated in a voice that made it sound as if it were the most obvious fact in the world.

"I'm known as 'Reaper,'" she replied cheerfully to his inquiry about her identity. It was a well known name thrown around among the general populace. If someone was not familiar with the name, then they had probably been living under a rock. Not a lot of people have actually seen who it was with this nickname, but they all knew that Reaper was a Black Knight. Those who actually follow the events of the war, know that the name Reaper belongs to the Zero Division Captain. But, otherwise, little is known about her since she is rarely ever seen on the battlefield - probably due to her sniper's training to be practically invisible in almost any environment, as well as her Knightmare's ability to actually become invisible. Either way, almost everyone should know that meeting the person calling themselves 'Reaper' was probably a dangerous encounter.

"And who are you?" she asked him, curious to know. She had given him her name - well, alias, it was not like she lied, either since she was known as Reaper - so it should be common courtesy to know his name as well.

Suddenly, the face that belonged to Alex lost all signs of the fear previously displayed. His face smoothed over, looked more focused, looked more confident, the face of someone 'in control' of a situation. His pleasant features, not overwhelmed with surprise or shock, narrowed with a friendly glint and a contented smile. He got it now.

'Ah, so, Mrs. Reaper of the Black Knights, in the flesh! Likely just finished up a mission around and about this area and thought to hide out in a garage or hanger...and lady luck had it she'd pop into mine...well, it's a bit of an inconvenience, but it's not like she's here to shoot me an--- if she had a mission that required her to rest up, couldn't she be followed'

"Ah, very good point. Forgive me, I suppose I'm just not thinking straight at the moment...by the way, were you followed by whoever you were trying to kill?...or then again, given your track record, it's much more likely the guys /guarding/ the guy you were trying to kill might follow you, eh?"

Despite the unpleasantness his comment might connotate (namely the fact that a very angry Knightmare Frame could burst in and kill everything very quickly), he also in the back of his mind knew that having the Reaper in his workshop likely made it the safest place for miles on end. That and the fact that the captain of Divison 0 wouldn't likely make such stupid mistakes on the battlefield. These things are that which allowed Alex to keep a casual and conversational tone.

"Oh, how rude of me! My name is Alexandroff Locke Guilliman, ametuer Knightmare mechanic and an idiotic noble on the side! And gotta' say, you chose a particularly horrid time to camp outside my wonderful neck of the woods here. Not that I really mind if you gotta' say, I mean, with your line of work and all..."
