Monster tank kit

I spotted this kit while browsing ebay which seems like a chinese toy.

what do you guys think ?

Looks interesting at that price. Not sure how much torque the motors have. They are about $7.00 ea. on ebay. The dimensions seem to be about 9.280 long x 7.750 wide. Appears to have good ground clearance. I'd want to modify the wheels to use Kyosho tracks, as those too narrow for the snow. You would also need to fab a body. Would also want to remove the top cover to fit all the electronics inside. A fun project.

That one is interesting, I wonder how it steers. It would be much better if it had solid axles.

No way it would steer with solid axles. There's no mechanism, I can see, to let the tracks turn.

Why do all of these appear to have old school German tank tracks?

They all seem to be based off of tracks used by heng long or tamiya tanks and you are correct, I do not see how this would steer. Looks to me that it would rely on tank based turning, not sure how effective that would be with the double track sets.
