Brake pads for df-300; Need to replace break pads

Does anyone know where or if there are any replacement or substitute brake pads for the steering on the DF-300 still for sale? I recently purchased a pretty rough DF-300 and completely restored it with many new parts. However the brake pads (not the break discs) are heavily worn and are about 60% worn through in some places. It seems everywhere I look, the OEM replacements are sold out.

Many have used arborite samples to cut out new ones with better performance

I bought this kit: http://m.ebay.com/itm/HPI-Hot-Bodies-D8-Nitro-Buggy-Parts-Center-Transmission-Brakes-Diff-Disk-Rotor-/161863582200?txnId=1350170836006

You can use them without the pads. I have had better luck without them.

Hey Erevoviking, did the brake pads and discs from that kit fit the blizzard without any mods? They look very similar to the stock blizzard ones.

The disk and brakes was a direct fit, yes.

I have a local buddy that did a build of the D8 but did electric conversion out of the box, he figures he still has the brake parts so I'm gonna snag them up!

I bought that same kit off eBay. Fits perfect but you do need longer bolts for the calipers.
