Hi everybody, I purchased a RC Kyosho Blizzard (the Red coloured one) and I am interested in converting it to autonomous operation. I know that there is a chip called an ArduiPilot, but I am not sure that it would work with this model. If it will work, how would I install it? I have very minimal electronics knowledge and I am scared to make a mistake. I heard that if some components are not installed properly, then some of the circuits could get fried out. So I need help. Thanks Ron666 |

Based on a quick review of the ardupilot, it could work on the blizzard however I see several caveats. * You WILL require a mixing ESC like the sabertooth * Space is tight, you may struggle with room inside chassis. I have to ask however, why? Are you hoping to create a blizzard to autonomously plow your drive way? If so they ardupilot won't do the job. It appears to simply allow a vehicle to travel from 1 gps location to another. This would not be detailed enough to "plow" a drive way. |

Thank you FrozenRC for your response. So it appears that the Ardupilot would not be a good choice. But "Yes" I am still interested in getting the Blizzard to autonomously plow the driveway. Are there any other options? Thanks Ron666 |

You're going to have to get into some sort of micro controller development board like arduino and the likes and look at using sensors for proximity. I would say do some searches on instructibles.com for some initial thoughts and equipment needed for what you are looking to do. |
