Just wondering what everyone is running for the snowcat beacons, the Pistenkings are not available in the USA, the RC4WDs are no longer available, and everything else I've seen including that cheap lightbar on ebay is too big (scalewise). Are there any other ones out there that you guys are using?

I used the oval style from hobbyking and removed the "risers' for the bar which gave a much better scale look just a little bit wide, when it comes to budget these are by far the best. These ones can even be plugged into your tx and the pattern controlled from the TX

Oh cool! They are a tad wide though- since you own it and have it available to look at, do you have any idea if the center white "siren section" could be cut down slightly, allowing the amber lenses to come closer together? Or is the circuit board the entire length, making that impossible?

I'm using two of the small round ones from that link and they come with a Y connector to sync them together.

No the circuit board runs the entire width of the bar, you might be able to shave a few mm but not much.

Here it is when I first put it on the SR body, it looked way better without the risers but I don't have a pic of it on the SR body that way, just on my wider DF-370 scratch built body.

This owner told me he cut his down 3/4"

I asked for more details because I had assumed the circuit board was the full length and one piece. I haven't heard back from him yet.
