Ok so I've been reading a lot on here. I have seen posted to use 120000 silicone and others that say use diff grease.
Which is best? My ev is new in the package never opened so I'm guessing that its dry. I bought a set of bearings to install as well. any help would be welcome.

thanks

Thank you for the information. I found a set of metal gears to install. :veryexcite: So I'll do it all together. Dose the diff have O rings to hold in the fluid?

If your going to be putting silicone diff fluid in, most guys go to 100,000 fluid which will stay in the diff, at that thickness it's pretty much a pour-able solid ;)

Nope the brakes in my DF are factory, I'm wondering if the pics you are looking at are from the bottom instead of the top inside of the chassis. I haven't modded my DF/EP at all however my SR is tweeked quite a bit and they have totally different internal drive train. Some guys have modded the steering servo to the front and also moved the steering linkage to the underside of the center chassis plate to make more room on the top side of the plate..

If you want to move your brakes have a look at this thread - down a bit from the top:
http://s1.zetaboards.com/RCsnowcats/topic/5045007/1/

you need the nitro brakes to do it - might be hard to find now though.. the ofna pads mentioned I don't believe are for sale any more - but people made a set using gasket material - takes the "jerkiness" out of turns - I run them in my brushless - big difference..

( link for the brakes - but they are out of stock at the moment - http://shop.tinyrc.com/search.php?mode=search&page=1 )

Pfitchie sorry I thought that you had done this mod. Phatchantz thanks for the link it helped a bunch. I was able to put my steering / brake linkage underneath without the Nitro brake parts. I had to cut some spacers to lower the servo tho. I scored some indo pads from eBay. The indo pads make a big improvement. This site is a must for blizzard owners. :nice:
