I just bought an ev, and I need servos for it what do I need to look for metal gear high torque etc. Can I run a 540 brushless motor it the ev without destroying it? I use brushless in all my r c stuff mainly for lack of maintaining them. I'm not looking for speed just torque and durability. Thanks |

Many of us run brushless in our EV/DF's, I personally run a Traxxas VXL system w/32 tooth pinion in my DF with out any problems. I only run in snow so traction is very low so you end up with very little stress on the drive train. Any servo will do in my opinion. |

Thanks for the information. We live in West Texas where we get snow but have lots of desert sand. I'm guessing mine will see high traction because of where we live. Is that bad for the blizzard? Anything I can or need to do to beef it up? I have 2800 kv, 3300kv or a 13t sensored brushless options. But if needed I can pick up something else. |

There really isn't any hop-ups available for the machine, biggest thing is to make sure your track and drive chain tension are good. I think you used to be able to get metal diff gears for them but they are pretty difficult to find now. |

I think also any of those motor options would be good. |

Thank you for the help. I'm learning your site slowly but, I'll post some pictures once all the stuff arrives. |
