Sabertooth lipo cutoff not right! Can we change it?

I notice between Oilcanman's and my Sabertooth a difference in cutoffs. It is weird. I thought it would cutoff at 3.0V per cell. Oilcanman's is about 3.5V and mine is 3.7V per cell which sucks!! It cuts down the run times and doesn't get the battery cycling as low as I want.

I guess we can't change the cutoff voltage? anyone else care to chime in with what theirs is doing?

Thanks :)

I wonder if it's more like, as long as you keep your finger on the trigger it won't cut out, I have a lithium drill that doesn't cut out until I take my finger off the trigger.

Oh yes I can milk the cutoff a little but it stutters way too much compared to Oilcanman's. I am thinking my lipo is near death maybe too. It has puffed a little but none since the initial puffing or swelling. The case is still intact so I will run this battery until the battery case pops off, kind of like my other lipo!! I have not had good luck with lipo batteries.

Oilcanman's lipo is a 5300mah Dynamite Gold series hard case and has been the best battery so far!! Oh well. :)

I had the same thing with a battery alarm - it would go off, and when I checked the battery there was good voltage - the thing is the sabertooth is monitoring the battery under load - when you look at the battery the load is not present, and the battery shows reasonable voltage - if you could watch it live under load you would see it drop as long as the load was there.......... so basically it's doing it's job, and preventing the cells from dropping to low.......

Cool and I learned today that the metal tracks are almost too much of a load for my Titan 380's, Sabertooth and lipo. I switched back to the plastic tracks and the battery drain is much better and I am happy once again...lol.

The metal tracks are good for the snail pace crawls but I have too much need for speed. One day I might slow down and if not I will have a decent set of metal tracks for a vintage SR......hahaha. :)
