I thought maybe it could be something with the Sabertooth, but the problem only starts after running for sometime. Usually 15 or so minutes and it has been really cold lately too! Not sure if that has anything to do with it.

You could try turning on the LiPo low voltage option on the sabertooth, if it cuts in then battery capacity/charge could definitely be the issue.

So I have purchased a BEC to run the rear tiller, but it has a plug running off it with three wires and the tiller only uses two. Which two should I use? Or does it matter?

Going to bring this thread back to life. Update on my issue I got a 6v 3a I believe bec from my brother and put a glitch buster in. Still having the same problem. Trying to get all the bugs worked out and stuff moved around in there so I can make room for blower components

If you get hesitation on full throttle start you may be hitting over current protection.

I had this problem when I tried a sabertooth in mine.

(error led would flash when it hesitated, which means over current protection)

Turning acceleration ramping on (switch 4 down position), may help.

Its going into over current protection.
If you try it when you can see the esc the led will flash when it stutters.

I did notice the red led coming on when it does it. Think it might be time for some better esc's.

That's what I did, got tired of trying to find the best brushed motor, went brushless, Castle was on sale at the time and my sabretooth was under 30 days old and was able to return it (Robot shop is great to deal with).

Went 4100kv, didn't want it too fast, plus the crawler reverse setting has no reverse delay.

I'm staying brushed for now. Going to get two hobbywing esc's for it.
