Blizzard SR studdering

I just upgraded my Blizzard SR with the Sabertooth 2x12rc and it works great. However, after a time outside the two motors studder or lurch, kinda like they are having a hard time getting going. I'm wondering if it is because it's cold outside or is there maybe a problem. The blizzard runs great for about 10-15 minutes then this problem starts. Could it also be the battery wearing down? I have a 7.4v NIMH with 1800Mah. Any advice would be appreciated.

With a small MAH 7.4 NIMH like that you are most likely in needing to recharge.

Thanks, kinda what I thought. Can you recommend a better battery to use?

I also see you use a powered tiller on the rear. Do you ever have problems with it clogging? Mine will clog and stop almost immediately after putting it in the snow.

I'm using a separate BEC to run the tiller at 6v instead of the 2xAA at 3v, I did that because of the stalling. I should have mentioned that I run a 5800Mah lipo and get between 45-60 minutes of run time. So I think your battery just needs charging.

Thanks again, any chance you could show me how you have everything hooked up? I'm kind of a newbie to all this. I'd really appreciate the help.

Here ya go, just through this together. I should really disable the BEC on the sabertooth and provide RX power from my separate BEC but I just haven't got around to it. I will when I buy a stronger plow server.

Thanks for the diagram. Took me a bit to wrap my head around the wiring. So did you use the stock wire from the tiller motor and just connected it to the BEC? Also, how do you connect the BEC to the battery?

I still use the factory power switch, so I split the line running to the sabertooth off to the BEC, from the BEC i split off multiple directions with one being to the stock tiller wiring. I may have the polarity wrong on the tiller switch as I just did it from memory. It is definitely a hodge podge of wiring.

Sorry, so the lipo battery you are using powers both the Savertooth and the BEC? Do you use a y connection?

No physical y connector, just a soldered y connection.

Dont mean to hijack the thread but I am having this same issue when taking off from a stop. I just put in team associated super 370s and it really made it come to life. It isnt super fast but it is a MPH or 3 faster then stock. I do have the sabertooth in there and it never did it with stock motors. I am using 7cell NMiH 5100 batteries.

It could also maybe be a problem with the BEC supply to the RX you could try an external BEC and disable the BEC from the Sabertooth.
