I was thinking about linking to mini mambas together. Any thoughts? I run a spektrum dx7. Curious if people are sticking with dual stisks for tracks? Any motor suggestions? |

Those of us who stay with brushed motors typically switch to a Sabertooth 2x12 R/C ESC as it has in built mixing allowing for single stick and no brake so you don't have the annoying double-tap to switch directions. Not a lot of name brand brushless being used but some have gone with hobbyking esc and motor gear and a newer member is waiting for some dynamite fuse combos to install. I am currently working on a what is in use by members thread but is lacking in the brushless department. So the Mambas will run brushed or brushless, I run them in my crawler with 16 turn brushed motors, I know you can mix the channels on the dx7 to run both motors on one stick. I use a futaba 6ex on my SR with Titan 380 brushed and the Sabertooth. I was looking at a 400T from electrify said it was the same size as a 380. The titan is something like a 18 turn, I would like to try around a 30 turn. Brushless motors will be were I end up, there are no sensored 380 motor that I know of or we would be all set, Brushless use KV to determine the RPM, middle of the road to me is about 3000KV. I haven't seen any Brushless on an SR. Those ESC's are great go for it, let us know what you find. |

Good deal I got my esc today. Had to order two more titans 380 today. Only had one figure good mock up back up. I would like to go brushless just gotta get all the right info. Curious to go thru the programing on the esc and fine tune my dx7. |

So how is the mamba project going? I have a dx7, fly heli's with it. was wondering my self about the mixing with the dual motors, I have to keep the counter rotating feature the sabertooth gives. If I knew I would change over to mambas due to there smooth start up, you can set throttle curves, brake curves and when you go to brushless you have the esc you need. I've used them for year's in my rockcrawler with 540's. |

The mini mamba pro project is done. A lil fine tuning should be good. Having trouble getting revese to work any thoughts? i think its a program issue.. So i used throttle and elevator for the track control. I really like the dual stick control. Makes it more scale to me. So the esc and reciver wouldnt fit in the stock box. I installed mine in a water proof snack box from the dollar store.fits perfect inside the frame rails. I used the alerione channel for the plow servo. Like this because i can use either the stick or the switch to control the up and down movement of the blade. Currently working on a side to side blade movement. |

Your issue is probably the programming of the remote. Its most likely set up for planes. Something in the programming should allow you to change the throttle so that it will work with reverse. You may also want to install a gimbal spring so its self centering. |

I've mixed my radio for twin esc. You have to put ail and ele on the the stick to the right, so you get the "0" point in the middle. And then just select the setting for a flying wing. And with the flying wing mix enabled you ready to go. With the counter rotating belts and evrything you need, can try to post a video on how it works on monday |
