Hello

Im new and just bought a blizzard df-300 off of another forum.
Im was wondering what spares I should have or anything that I should do or need to look out for.

The power system that I will be using is a 21t brushed motor with a 2s lipo. I know that it wont have much speed but I have plans to up grade it at a later stage.

My plans are to make it in to a Dakar truck but with tracks or use a mini copper shell. I still haven't made up my mind yet.

ill upload some pictures when it arrives.

thanks alex

Welcome to the forums, I would suggest that you get some extra trailing arms.

Welcome Alex...!

I personally would dissemble and grease, and install bearings if there aren't any already. The 22-turn motors aren't bad, I run 20-turn in mine. Like Pfitchie said: trailing arms, spare tracks are good as well. I like the rally truck idea, it's got my attention...!

Thanks, is there any other bits while I'm making the order as they DONT sell a single spare for the blizzard in the UK.

Alex97: Oh, your in the UK. If your making a bulk order, and paying the shipping, here's what I would suggest...

Trailing arms: They can break if you drive the Blizzard aggressively.
Tracks: Metal are expensive, and hard to come by, but I think they are worth every penny. If not, A spare set of plastic ones wouldn't be a bad idea. They come in pairs.
Drive Chains: They stretch, and break every so often.
Chain sprockets: The little ones the chain rides on. Metal chain on plastic sprockets, plastic will wear out.
Large drive sprockets: the ones that drive the tracks. They won't really wear out if you run the plastic tracks, put when you get metal tracks, they will probably wear out quicker.
Suspension: Those little metal paperclip things that act as the suspension. They can break, or just get tired. I store my Blizzards on skinny cardboard boxes to keep the weight off of the suspension to make them last longer.

Hope this helps...
