Hello guys! I recently got some of his re-released hub nuts. I asked about the Blizzard stuff and he said he has a plan and some parts...with prices and will be letting us know soon. I guess most who know Chris are signed up to his news letter and will get the word when parts are ready to pre-order. :)

I hope lots of guys will still be interested. I really want to see photos of the stuff. I am not 100% sure if I want to spend more on the Blizzard yet but I know his stuff will be awesome!!

Only problem is if he releases parts during the summer, the customer " want" won't be there and there wouldn't be as many takers compared to a release around November when we have a little taste of snow and itch to run our cats.

Well I guess he never said when but here is what he wrote:
Quote:

The Bliz, I've actually got all I need to do the final drives- Titanium for the roller chain sprockets, some roller chain rated at 5 times the breaking point of stock, the Aluminum & tools to do the big final drive cog, and it'll be all ball bearing. I'll be doing a pair and posting the kits, and based on sales I may or may not do more Bliz parts.

These will be expensive, and the roller chain will not be included, as it's about $70 just for that so I'll give the ordering info & let the buyer get it at their leisure. My parts will be around $125, so this'll be a $200 upgrade! But to give people what they said they wanted-All Alloy, roller chain, ball bearing, etc. this is just what it costs. Other parts will be less expensive, so this is the indicator, as it'll fit the SR as well as the DF & Nitro series, most all Blizzards. We'll see I guess!

Cheers for now Mate, Chris REC

I am fairy sure he will not release them until the late fall/early winter. Plenty of time to save up, as I will require 2 sets....

Yeah he never said a date so we will see. I am almost too bored of my SR and DF Conversion. I have not even finished the DF-300 yet. Oh well maybe when it warms up I can actually paint the body for it. Then I can tear down Oilcanman's DF-300 and get it ready too. I am not very motivated at all.

Thanks for keeping folks up to date, Zippo! :chug: I'm actually glad you mentioned the date, I really don't think of this stuff- I just throw sh!t out there & pray!

I check here occasionally, but have not posted as I've nothing to show yet. I may still do the proto (i.e., mine ^_^ ) & can always hold off doing the Email 'til towards Fall, give chaps a chance to save up & such too.

These will be up there, hoping my pieces around $125 but we'll see- Volume is key, and there are things I could do to make 'em cheaper. But, this flies in the face of what I do & how I do it: Of course, making 1-pc. chain sprockets/tubes would be easier & cheaper than separate Titanium sprockets, but would not hold up as well and for the price it should last forever, no? So I'll do it right and not sweat the cost much.

I'll give the buyer the part# & order info for the chain, which will be about $70 just for that: This will save you $ as it's direct from SDP/SI, and allow you to spread the total cost over 2 purchases, so easier to absorb.

I'll squeeze in the proto as I get the time, and keep you all posted on progress and....Uh..............I....Sorry, Women's Gymnastics just started on the tube! Anyway, I have what I need to do 'em so hopefully soon! Chris REC

Sounds great Chris. I am looking forward to them. I do believe that waiting until the late fall/early winter will allow you to see more units, which is good popularity. I would like to see you do more stuff for these machines, and I know it relies on how many you can sell, obviously.

Oh, can you send me a link to the woman's gymnastics? Sounds, uh, intriguing...

I want A stronger way of attaching the front wheels, the bar/set screw/shaft setup works, but the setscrew can still bend. I think making the little triangle thing out of aluminum would work....

A stronger rear wheel mount/track tensioner would be nice...
