Not sure what is going on but the wheels behind the drive chain wheels are coming off and don't seem to be held on by any screw or clip I can see. I lost one outside and it was a miracle I found it! What am I missing?
I think he's referring to the actual track wheels and not the chain sprockets. Not a hundred percent sure.

Bumping this, trying to get this ready for the white fungus to hit the ground in Minnesota. Looking at the other wheels it looks like there's a pin, a cotter pin type style, that holds the wheel and plastic axle/pivot assembly on. I've read the instruction manual on the web but there is no image of it or an exploded parts view that I can find perhaps because it comes pre-assembled. Can anybody help me with a part number?

This might help to explain, a video. You can see the end of the pin is broken off inside the plastic.

Also, are there metal wheels available from Kyosho that I can buy?

The axle is held on with the spring which is broken, revealing the two cotterpin things you see. You need part BL15 for the repair.

Good luck

No metal wheels available!! Not really necessary....plastic are lighter and work fine.

I was busy today! Had quite a project in mind and I made some great progress. I'm a little ashamed to show some of the details with the craftsmen on this forum, but here is the nitty gritty of my sloppy work with the dremel to make this all work.

I had been looking at my son's Traxxas Slash and really liked the RPM bumpers I put on there a while back. I wanted some kind of light bar setup that was ready to go (more or less) so I wouldn't have to do a lot with building brackets and working with the body. Taking a look at the RPM bumpers on his Slash, I figured that with some modifications and cutting I could fit them to the Blizzard. This would let me use the RPM LED light brackets that I liked so much and I had big plans for the bumper light setup and the big 6 light bar for the Slash's roof. I also wanted to use the RPM rear bumper for the Slash and double up on the red tail lights.

I bought this body used on fleabay because I liked the look and despise painting. It appears to be a bit wide for my EV so there will be some work needed to seal the insides up to my satisfaction. It already had some holes in the body for LED's from the guy I bought it from, front and rear and some on the roof, so I may still use those locations for some orange accent/"parking" lights!

I reworked the battery location from when I used this last year and also moved the Traxxas receiver holder to the very rear behind the steering servo. It's a tight fit, and a bit sloppy but it's pretty snug in there even though it isn't mounted with screws or servo tape.

I have lights and wiring on the way from rc-lights.com and I'll be using a separate power source for the LED's so I don't feed off the LIPO for propulsion. And I will be wiring it so I can flip the lights on with one (or two) of the channels on my Futaba 7C

I also fixed the broken spring/pins on the wheels (part # BL15) so that's corrected which is great. I plan to get some metal tracks when they're in next from tinyrc. I might replace the front bumper because I got over zealous cutting the ends off thinking for some reason that the tracks were going to hit the bumper ends. Doh, it's only money I guess.

Looking good, you got me thinking about bumpers on my df now, would have prevented the last 2 breaks that I had, snapping the threaded rod on the drive sprockets coming down off of a hill onto concrete.

Just preventing the direct impacts on the sprockets and trailing arms should help with durability!

That's going to be great having all that lighting. I run my snowcat at night all the time, and not have lights makes it tough.

The top light bar is working, more to come. Also I have metal Kyosho tracks on the way!

Looks good! That should be enough light to run at night.

Did some night running tonight with the metal tracks that arrived! If anyone is on the fence about these tracks and can stomach the price, I would say they are well worth it. The clicking noise they make and the massive weight they add to the rig are impressive.

I think they also seem to throw up even more powder than the old tracks!

I got a Gopro Hero 3 which fits perfectly in the cab. Here's a video I took running it across the street and back. Sorry but the camera got bumped halfway through pointing more downward.

The bad part is (maybe with ten runs on them) my metal Kyosho tracks are breaking. I am not abusing them so I'm not sure what is wrong but I will contact tiny rc after the holiday break.

I tried zip tying them back together and a different joint started to break. :/
