...hi there...I thought I had posed a request earlier today, but I haven't seen it put up so I will inquire again. I have a friend that is tryig to get his 1989 vintage Kyosho Blizzard up and running, but the rubber tires have gone to mush. I wanted to ask if there are still any of these around (Kyosho PN TB-04) and they came 10 to a pack...or given the unlikely request for new replacement tires, is their some type of replacement tread available. Any suggestions would be more than welcome. Thanks, Mike |

Not many DX's were sold in the USA/Canada, and spare parts are almost never seen. All the tires on mine have cracks in them, and nobody has had any luck finding any replacements. When looking for spare parts, I would suggest searching the German eBay (eBay.de) and searching for "Graupner Pistenbully" as it was sold as over in Europe. There seem to be much more parts and a larger following over there. I have purchased DX parts from German eBay myself. I am surprised that Pistenking has not made replacement tires yet. Maybe we should ask them...? |

Hi Mike, I think pistenking's chassis has wheels same size as the DX. Not as detailed though. They might sell them separately. Some photos: http://www.pistenking.com/02c69f9d0714b6302/02c69f9d0714c5905.html |

Mike: It would be nice to know if they do sell them separately. Let us know how you make out... |

Pistenking tires are actually just one piece delrin. It would be great if someone molds the original tires. Mine are still fresh but I know they won't last long. |

You just need someone who can machine delrin? or is that not a good wheel material? I am sure they would last forever. What are the dimensions of the DX wheels? Edited by ZippoMan, Mar 13 2013, 02:17 PM.

Delrin would be a good material I am sure. It would last forever. I know there is a guy on eBay who molds tires for vintage Kyosho models. I should ask if he would consider the DX rubber... |

Bogey tires might be a problem, can someone check if they are in same size with rest of the tires ? |

I'm trying to find tires for the DX. I have one DX kit (NIB) and one DX which could run if I can find at least 10 tires. If anyone has a source to get new tires made or find replacements, I'd love to contact them. tks3rd in Colorado Springs CO |

I was wondering if the SR or DF-300 plastic wheels are a direct replacement for the DX tire? Same overall diameter? Thanks

Yes I have a set of good DX tires. Wheels are crap though... I was going to paint the wheels and use them on a project, but I could be persuaded to sell them... How much would a blizzard DX with a broken front trailing arm be worth? Chassis is good, 1 crack by the plow/servo arm hole(doesn't affect anything). Edited by whitrzac, Mar 15 2013, 11:53 AM.

Do you know of a source for the DX rubber tires? Or, have you ever found tires that will fit stock wheels. I have a DX complete except for dry rotted tires and have not found tires anywhere. tks3rd |

I would give $150 if they are new in package and around $90 for slightly used soft ones. Someone should mold tires for DX. |
