I am just curious about brands of motor pinions? Who makes the best for the DF-300. I want to buy a few sizes 25T-29T maybe..just for kicks. How about these: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Advantage-Hardcoated-Aluminum-48P-Pinion-Gear-Set-26T-27T-28T-29T-30T-5-/181045235052?pt=US_Character_Radio_Control_Toys&hash=item2a27230d6c |

I think any brand "hardened" pinions are fine ZippoMan. I use Traxxas, Robinson Racing, whatever is available. |

You can never have enough. It's always nice to have a wide assortment. Especially small ones...

I will say this.... that pack you linked... they are monsters... the biggest thing I've ever run in any of my stuff was 23T and the temps on my VXL system where huge! |

Thats the general range of pinions I run on most of my stuff, except for maybe sedans which have smaller tires. Can't go wrong with Robinson Racing, always top notch stuff

Cool I guess I can start there...I want to have some options because I have 2 Blizzard DF's to work on now plus my Wraiths...so I figure buy multiple and save. I do not live near any hobby shops so to me this is the cheapest and best way to buy. Oh my one Wraith is going to have 32P gears so they won't work....but I have 2 others that the pinions could work on. Too many toys!! Yikes!!

I just bought the pack from 15T-25T. Hehehe. I guess I can't get the 26T yet! I think 25T should work fine. 23T seemed not bad but that was with my 3S battery. I have not tried 2S. Ahhhhh, you can never have too many parts laying around.

It's always nice to have options. Check the motor and esc temps with the 25T when you get it and gear it accordingly. |
