Oh No! First breakage....jumping off snow piles (with 3s) and landing where I had moved snow already, not enough cushion to soften the landing.
Oh well live and learn, got parts on hand to keep playing.
I'm thinking a little longer bolt and lock nut may help in preventing this from happening again. Oh, and landing in soft snow will probably go along way in this not happening again also.

Instead of a solid link you can add a small shock absorber like this...

Well I wasn't super pleased by the low speed cogging of the sensorless motor. I do like to go on trail runs with these things, it's alot of fun and I enjoy it, maybe my it's my scale rig background IDK.

So not wanting to sacrifice top end speed with a brushed motor (yeah I like to rip it up too) I switched the CC5700kv with a LRP 9t sensored motor and I think I nailed the perfect set up, low speed control and every bit the top end speed I had. No cogging at all at low speed it's pretty nice.

A little dielctric grease in the motor and VXL sensor ports and good to go!

I highly recommend this type of set up for the best of both worlds. :nice:
