Just thought I'd give a little update on my new found obsession. Like I posted before I sent the first rig I aquired out to n00b for a "retro" custom body. Should've waited til spring, right?, but no I did it in January. I had so much fun with it I looked for another to mess with because the custom rig is going to be awhile and I had 3 more months of winter. I was lucky enough to pick up a brand new DF-300 roller. In my excitement and haste I did not snap any photos early on. So I'll just ramble a bit on what I did do. I went with the upgrades that everyone suggests. Took apart the diff case and diff, filled with 100,000 wt fluid,( boy it would be nice to have 4 spider gears in there instead of two) and greased gears with Team3six lube. Replaced every bushing with rubber sealed bearings from Avid. Drpped a new Sidewinder V3 and 5700kv motor in it and A Traxxas 2075 servo. I did not get around to painting the new body so I'm using the orangebody off the fist rig. Here's a pic before the snow went away. ![]() ![]() Like I said I used it with 3s and seemed too fast, I'm just not sure of the durability of these things yet. Believe me, I like to go fast but when the snow comes back I'm going to try a 2s and work from there. Well with the lack of snow I was getting bored today and when I was cleaning under the bench I found a couple of Axial Wraith light sets. I thought this is OK, simple and functional, 4 white lights for up front and 2 red for the rear, plugs right into the receiver. Here's what I did: ![]() ![]() ![]() And now all powered up... ![]() ![]() Any input or suggestions are welcome fellas, Thanks. |

Hey, I have some of those Axial Wraith lights in my stash as well. I might have to do the same... I love the DF-300 body. Looks great. Oh, and 4 spider gears would have costed too much.... |

Fresh snow today,...finally. I took the rig out with 2s battery and it was a blast, I might try 3s again tomarrow now that I have more than snowplow banks to run on. Have any of you guys ran brushless with 3s? Just curious of the durability. A couple pic's from tonight with the new lights... ![]() ![]()

I notice your pinion gear doesn't make much contact with the spur. Is that how it is supposed to be or can you adjust that? |

Like your lights! I ran mine on 2S since i got it last December. I just got a 3S battery and will try it tomorrow. You should center your pinion on top of your spur. |

Nice light setup, they look powerful. I'm wondering if SR plow fits DF directly. |

Thanks for the comments on the lights fellas. Yeah, they are actually functional and do a good job of lighting the way for the snowat. They were not worth a poo on a fast Wraith. |
