A VW Bus would be very cool, no doubt. I wish that there was a nice ABS one available... |

Thanks Irishman. I love working with the ABS bodies. Unfortunately, the selection is somewhat limited. This Ford body happens to fit the EV/DF-300/SR chassis perfectly. I hope it comes out like I have pictured in my head... |

Next up, I made me some inner fenders. I am not sure why, but these little buggers had me a-swearin'...![]() Then all the parts went to primer. ![]() Then to paint. ![]() Final paint color is Tamiya's Light Blue AS-5. I wanted a powder or cool blue, and these aircraft paints are flat as well; just what I was looking for. ![]() Even though these paints are for aircraft, I hope they stick to a land-based vehicle (fingers crossed).

Next, I removed my masking...![]() The rear tailgate panel on the bed kit is considerably thinner than the rest of the panels, to accept the original Blackfoot tailgate. For this here body, it needs to be the same thickness. ![]() Luckily, a few weeks ago I had picked up this sheet of styrene, for no apparent reason other than I might need it someday (Just like the bed kit, and 85% of my other parts stash). It is the exact dimension needed to make the tailgate the proper thickness. Weird. ![]() All sandwiched up. This is before sanding, so it's a bit messy looking. I also had to shorten the height a bit, since the Midnight Pumpkin's tailgate is lower than the rest of the bed. ![]() After sand the edges smooth, I was able to assemble all these parts into this box shape. ![]() The "FORD" looks a bit backwards. Hope nobody notices. ![]() More to come. Hope you enjoy...! |

Looking sharp. Why does the FORD panel sits lower than the others ? Mine are all in same height. |

Pushy Pushy! I don't want to complain, but for a bed kit, this thing certainly need a lot of adjustments to fit...

The 1953 F100 tailgate sits lower than the side rails, so I trimmed it down. |
