is the sabertooth the only esc choice for the blizzard sr? I would like to use my Spektrum Dx3r transmitter, will they work together? How about that novak twin motor esc for crawlers? Thanks!

The novak should work well. the sabertooth is just a good/solid/small/cost effective solution .... also you could just try a v-tail mixer if your just looking to use a pistol style radio.

The Sabertooth is the 1st choice for most, because it has a dual motor esc, mixer, and BEC in one unit. Since you can turn mixing on or off, you can run any transmitter with it. You can also run two separate ESC's, but a dual motor ESC is usually one ESC that pushes power out to two motors as once. This will allow you to go forward or back, but not turn. Just make sure that if you go with the two separate ESC's, get ones with "crawler reverse" (no one tap for brake, and 2nd tap for reverse).
