Ever since I installed the sabertooth I seem to have a problem in speed forward and reverse. My right stick makes the tracks spin in opposite directions (turn on a dime) and the left makes the SR go forward. When I use both the left stick and the right (which makes just one track spin) it spins i much greater speed compared to when both tracks are going forward, why is that? I also have to use the trim to the max (makes the SR move without touching the controls) in order to make the SR go faster then a snail in forward which makes the reverse even slower. If I use the trim the way you should use a trim (that will say make the SR stand still) it's slow in both directions. It's a bit hard to explain so I might put up a video tomorrow (got loads of snow now B-) ). |

Sounds like some wires are not connected to the right spots. I know nothing but try reading this. http://s1.zetaboards.com/RCsnowcats/topic/4614112/1/ |

Maverick, New to the site, but not the Sabertooth. I use em in my 1/6th, yeah 6th not 16th, scale tanks. Your problems are with the dip switch positions. I use a Spektrum DX6i for my stuff, set up in acro mode. Right stick controls all track functions. Left is turret traverse and elevation. #1 problem is you don't have mix turned on, either on your tx or the Sabertooth. This moves all functions to one stick, normally the right in the US. Just like using elevons on a plane, you are mixing the ailerons and elevator together. Your aileron control, left/right is track left/right. As elevator becomes forward/reverse. Also the further from center you move your stick the faster the treads respond in speed. Also make sure you understand the directions on setting it up, on mine I had to disable the learn feature as it would have the tank roll forward/backwards at one speed, and turns were at twice the speed. Took a couple of calls to Dimension Engineering to get the dip switches figured out. If I can be of any help, give me a holler. |

Thanks to everyone who tried to help me! I have no idea what I did wrong but it's working perfect now The only things I did was a few new solderings and rechecked the switches. I also noticed that the D/R switch was in the downposition. |
