I am considering going to the same ESC. I own a 4s Lipo, and would like to use it in this machine (this model is so much better than the dual motor SR for a fast/speed cat). I am desperately trying to find one of Rogue Element Components dual-motor plates. If I cannot find one, I am considering having one cut myself, or having one made to accept the Titan 775 motor. I believe it does not use the standard 540 holes to mount, but I could be wrong.. |

I traded my buddy about 5 airplanes for one 2 years ago and we haven't had more than a dusting of snow here in Kentucky since!!! 7700 KV brushless and my buddy says it will throw rooster tails of snow up......you know....if we ever get any snow;( I have a new body to paint and mount for it and a new light system to add as soon as I can get some time. Pray for snow.....please! I am having trouble with picture size, so Ill post pics if I can get them shrinked down. Anybody know how to shrink a photo down from 1.2 megs to under 200kb so I can post them? Edited by Big D61, Dec 24 2012, 11:47 AM.

If you have the Paint program on your pc (comes standard w/ Windows I think), find the pic and open with Paint. Theres a few resize options in the upper left, thats what I use. Resizing by percent is easiest.

Hey Reaper: I've been trying to find a metal spur gear for the DF-300. All I can find is plastic. Do you know of any metal ones that fit? |

OK Tim, I have looked and now it looks like the company that made the metal gears isn't any longer, however there is a few metal gears that could be persuaded to work. I am curious... I understand the metal gear for durability but with the drive train being a direct drive I like the idea of a cheap fail point. The diff parts are getting harder to find now unless you mod in a more modern diff from a different R/C vehicle.

Ahh, I agree. It is always nice to have a cheap, plastic failsafe installed. I was just curious, and am in the process if gathering parts to rebuild and ready the DF-300. I appreciate you looking... |

What are you lacking for your DF-300? I am about ready to dust off my EV and run that and maybe mod a plow on it... Between my 2 SR's constantly failing on me I am almost ready to liquidate my blizzard inventory and stick with my DX's. |

7700KV motor. The guy I got it from said it would throw rooster tails of snow 3 feet high. :P Oh, did I mention.....I traded for it 2 years ago and we haven't had a measurable snow in.....2 years!! Sitting on the shelf looking un-wanted and un-loved....shame. :( Edited by Big D61, Jan 7 2013, 10:17 AM.

I am just going to tear down the DF and make sure it is up to par, and add a few fun parts to it as well (I will do a build thread). I agree, looking at all the work, $, time that I have thrown at that SR, well, it's frustrating. I should have just purchased another DX instead! It is by far a superior machine... |

Well I have a couple DF's that I aquired recently, one has a Novak GTB ESC and a 10.5t sensored motor, fine on 2s and real nice on 3s. that's out in Ohio at n00b's. The second one which I have in my posession has the new Sidewinder V3 waterproof ESC and a 5700kv 4 pole motor. Took to a scale run on Sunday and there wasn't much snow left but I popped in a 3s at the end of the day, it had a 23t pinion and it was fast! Like need to slow it down fast so I don't destroy it. I don't have no snow at all right now but when it comes, I'm going to try a 2s and if it's still to fast I'll drop the pinion to a 20t. These things are really addicting man! I haven't wanted snow this bad since I was a youngin', lol. |

GDB85: So, I am on scale4x4rc forum, and rckcrawler (the rc4wd team manager) was complaining about a guy in Ohio who keeps buying up all the DF-300's. This must be you... hehe Did you run buy n00b's playground? I would love to see some video of that... |
